I Became The Academy’s Narrow-Eyes chapter 3
3 – The Assassin and the Blindfolded Man
Arien’s security is second to none in the entire continent.
Of course, it can’t be perfect though.
Even in Arien, shadows exist.
And some of the residents of the underworld hidden in the shadows make a living by doing illegal work.
Rendall.
He was a resident of Arien’s underworld.
Special operations, factor torture and assassination.
that was his main job.
Randall has never failed in a mission since his name has been imprinted as a ‘brilliant’ to some of the underworld tycoons.
Now, after following the target for a long time, he was running away from the assassination scene, missing the chance to assassinate.
‘Damn it, that b*tch. Who the hell are you?’
There was a third party intervention.
The woman of great skill had not only stopped Randall’s assassination, but had pursued him.
Randall was escaping by choosing the least crowded and complicated route possible to get her out of the way.
Then, a passerby I ran into in an alleyway.
He was a man with an open-eyed expression and an infinitely light air.
Like the light atmosphere, the man seemed to be light-hearted.
It was easy to associate him with the excitement of going somewhere else and talking about himself.
Rather than ignore him, Randall decided it would be better to spend some time and effort getting rid of him.
“Oh-the weather is always nice~”
I threw a dagger at the vital part of him who was moving away with his back unprotected.
Since it was a situation where the pursuer was stuck, I was careful to handle it neatly.
It was a blind spot.
He completely erased his intent to kill so that the other person would not be wary of him.
But the dagger missed.
“damage… ?”
It wasn’t like the situation the man intended.
The man fell forward just in time as the dagger flew.
“Everything, of course you should avoid it! tossing something like that Are you going to kill me!?”
That stupid look there.
It was hard to believe that the man had dodged the attack with his skills.
He was just lucky.
But why? this reluctance.
Maybe it’s because of the mood.
Randall shook his mind.
The powerful man who stopped his assassination is pursuing.
There is no time to delay.
This time for sure.
-Surereung.
Randall approached the man with a sword.
“Uh uh… ! What, what! Why are you coming!? Don’t come!”
The man hurriedly backed away.
It’s a meaningless struggle.
The footsteps of Rendall, a skilled assassin.
The man did not show any special movement to get out of it.
“Even if you don’t want to come closer!?”
“…”
But it’s strange.
The distance between Randall and the man showed no sign of ever closing.
Randall is performing the sophisticated assassin’s footwork.
The man is just walking backwards casually, looking bewildered.
“at there.”
Randall spat out nervously in frustration.
“It is you, please stand there! please! Why the hell are you doing this to me! What did I do!”
Then, the reaction that came back was stupid.
It was a rather ridiculous picture.
Recognizing that, Randall felt extremely annoyed.
Doesn’t this make you feel like you’re being swayed by that stupid bastard?
“Not like a star-”
Eventually, Randall kicked off the ground and dove toward him.
The distance finally narrows.
First of all, that disgraceful face.
What should I do, starting with that narrow-eyed face that seems to be laughing while splitting threads?
– Whoosh!
Randall’s sword dug into the man’s face and drew a neat diagonal line.
went in
Randall was sure.
this street.
that attitude.
can never avoid
“Hee!”
But I don’t feel it in my hand.
Sure enough, he was in a hurry- the man who narrowly avoided the swordsman’s posture screamed.
“…!”
“Hey!”
“Damn it!”
“Aww!!!”
“sh*t!!!”
Rendall swings his sword in anger.
Every time that happens, the man narrowly avoids the swordsman in an absurd stance.
A series of processes were repeated several times.
That was far from the assassin’s unilateral massacre of civilians.
People getting nervous about annoying bugs, and bugs struggling to survive.
At first glance, it seemed like Rendall was struggling.
“…!”
At that time, Randall’s posture collapsed.
She had lost her balance while chasing after the man’s evasive movements in a way that didn’t sound like words.
“Sah, save people!!!”
The man took advantage of the gap and widened the distance.
“phew… ! I thought I would die without fail… !”
“… ”
Randall did not understand the situation.
Did I lose my posture because I couldn’t keep up with the movements of that worm?
‘Because of that childish playful movement?’
Confused Randall.
The man continued to speak, wanting it to be this time.
“By the way- what the hell! Why are you doing this to me! What the hell did I do to be so frantic to kill me- Besides, weren’t you in a hurry somewhere!? Is it okay to waste time like this because of me, who has nothing to do with me!?”
The man was right.
Randall’s attempt to raid the assassination target failed due to the intervention of a third party.
And the woman, who was quite strong, was chasing Randall.
“My mouth is heavy even when I see this!? If you just let me go, I won’t tell anyone I’ve seen you- can we?”
If you want to avoid an embarrassing situation as originally intended, it is right to give up on this man and run away.
“It’s not my business.”
But Randall was fine now.
The reason he gave up and ran away was not because the woman who interrupted his assassination was too strong to handle.
Because the balance calculation is not right.
It was because the payment received was too small to deal with such a skilled person.
As an assassin, Randall thought thoroughly and rationally.
But now.
Randall’s mindset changed.
“I will kill you, and I will kill her too.”
He runs away from the woman who interfered with his work.
Then, he did stupid things like playing tag with a fly-like guy in front of his eyes.
The series of humiliations damaged the Assassin’s pride.
The assassin, who had lost his cool, scattered them everywhere instead of thoroughly hiding his killing spree.
“… ”
Are you afraid to live?
The narrow-eyed man stared blankly into space.
However, the focus of that vision was off somewhere.
It wasn’t Randall, it was as if he was seeing something floating in the corner of his field of vision.
Soon he opened his mouth.
“Is the name of the woman you just mentioned from ‘I have to kill that woman’, Libringer?”
“what?”
Randall did not know the name of the woman pursuing him.
But the man’s reaction.
“ah. is it. You bastard, must have been that b*tch’s colleague. no wonder. You were wasting your time acting like an asshole while she got here. okay. It was like that.”
Randall gave a relationship between the two based on the man’s reaction, and his eyes shone insidiously.
“What were you two planning to do with me when that b*tch arrived? That’s funny. It wouldn’t be bad for you guys to play with each other the way you want, but- I’m thinking of something more fun now. Now, sever the tendons in your limbs and wait for her to arrive. And, after playing with that b*tch who was left alone in front of you who can’t do anything, torturing her. Until there was a begging from her mouth or from your mouth to please kill me. How do you like it?”
The damn laugh that had been etched into the man’s face and showed no sign of fading seemed to have disappeared, albeit slightly.
Randall smiled in satisfaction.
It felt like I was finally free from the feeling of being caught up in by someone not like me.
“To be honest. In fact, he and I have nothing to do with each other.”
“It has nothing to do with- cu cu cu cu, I guess so.”
“Yes, no relationship. By the way – I don’t think I can just let you harm him.”
“Oh, you don’t have any relationship? But why-… huh?”
Then, the man let out a sigh.
“You go when I tell you to go.”
Randall looked at the man in bewilderment.
Suddenly he seemed to be a completely different person.
Is it because of the mood?
no.
It wasn’t my mood.
now.
The man opened his eyes.
Hidden in those narrow eyes, sharp golden eyes like the tip of an arrow appeared and turned to Randall.
For a moment, Randell felt as if a huge snake was coiling around his body and punishing his mouth.
Just by opening his eyes, the man’s atmosphere, which had been infinitely light, became suffocatingly heavy.
It became ominous.
Rendall felt he had become a different person for a moment.
“He’s the main character.’
“Main actor… ?”
“is it so. Main actor. A quest popped up the moment you said you would harm him. I want to stop you.”
The man said something incomprehensible.
“Ah, just in case, I’ll tell you. Is this because there is no resentment for me? Did I just want to go all the way?”
The man smiled bitterly.
When he had his eyes closed, he would have looked servile, but now, with his eyes open, he seemed to be laughing at the other person.
– turbug
The two of them got closer.
This time, the man approached Randall.
Randall involuntarily backed away.
“hahahaha, this. Am I the drunkard this time?”
The conversation ended there.
