I Became the Goddess of a New World

Chapter 3

After returning to Earth, there was only one change that had occurred in me.

Before being summoned to another world, my identity had changed to that of someone who was summoned to that world.

When I first saw the ID that should have my Earth name written on it now sporting the name “Aurora,” I was utterly shocked.

Ah, Aurora was the alias I used in the other world.

“Though it’s now my real name.”

Well, with such an exotic appearance, it would be even stranger if my name weren’t exotic too.

Still, wanting to clarify this point, I separately asked Akachan.

“The Earth operative, code name A-013, admits to her negligence. She has promised to provide convenience to the Master.”

The content was pretty much what I expected to come out of Akachan’s mouth.

After all, only beings like Akachan would be able to perform such tasks.

“How far along is the virtual reality construction?”

“We have just finished the final touches.”

“That’s incredibly fast.”

Since Akachan had completed her tasks, it was time for me to pick up the pace.

Akachan was responsible for creating the foundational world concept for the game, and it was my job to build the device to access this virtual reality.

I focused on my work just like Akachan.

“Virtual Reality Access Device, Capsule.”

Yes, it’s the kind of capsule that’s often seen in game fantasy novels.

Of course, this capsule was a new item, never seen before in either world.

It wouldn’t be easy to create solely based on knowledge alone.

Who had rolled around for the past decade to prevent destruction?

That would be me.

I was confident that no one could beat me when it came to magical prowess.

Even if I faced off against the existence known as the greatest archmage on the continent.

“I’ll assist.”

Akachan, who had been watching from the side, helped with the creation of the capsule.

Thanks to that, the work speed increased, allowing us to finish quicker than expected.

“Phew. It looks amazing.”

The capsule was completed, and for some reason, it felt like I should step inside and shout “Link Start!”

Of course, those anime characters had headgear, but hey, the genre is similar.

I linked the virtual reality created by Akachan to the capsule.

Now, when I closed my eyes in this capsule, my consciousness would be transmitted into the virtual reality.

“Learning the manufacturing process… Learning complete.”

While I watched the finished capsule alongside Akachan, she drew a magic circle on the floor.

It was a long-forgotten ancient magic that most wizards wouldn’t know.

“High magic, Replica.”

Replica.

A magic that duplicates something non-living.

The amount of mana required to cast it once was considerable, so not everyone could use it.

At least, one would need to be a great magician capable of competing with me three times over.

“I knew about it from Akachan’s knowledge, but seeing it in person is fascinating.”

Akachan and I entered the capsule together.

***

During my conversations with Akachan, I learned many things for the first time.

First of all, the Akashic Record cannot directly intervene in the world it governs.

And the critical reason why Akachan entrusted me with the removal of objects of destruction.

“Akachan… Didn’t you say it was a world a thousand years in the future?”

“…That’s correct.”

Wow—!!!

Down below, an army was advancing.

With cheers, cavalry took the lead.

Beyond that human army was the Undead Legion.

It had a familiar, no, even more sinister presence than before.

‘Ancient Necromancer?’

The object of destruction I had first confronted in another world, a nightmare I never wanted to face again.

The wave of the dead that restored itself endlessly covered the vast land.

“I clearly destroyed the Ancient Necromancer, didn’t I?”

The reason the stage for the virtual reality game was set a thousand years in the future was simple.

The wounds left by the objects of destruction in the other world were too deep.

The estimated time for those wounds to heal was about a thousand years.

That’s why it was based on a thousand years in the future of this world.

“User inquiry confirmed. This is a different entity from the Ancient Necromancer.”

“A different entity…?”

Following Akachan’s words, I observed the Ancient Necromancer far away.

Indeed, there were certainly differences.

The Ancient Necromancer had a form closer to that of a human, but this one resembled a skeleton more than a person.

‘The sinister presence feels similar, though.’

The skeleton-like form exuded that characteristic sinister aura of a necromancer?

Among the monsters I knew, there was only one that possessed such traits.

“…Lich?”

“More so, a higher type.”

So, are we talking about an Elder Lich here?

As long as the Life Vessel exists, this legendary undead is said to be immortal.

Is such an entity really fighting against an army composed solely of humans?

Of course, there might be exceptional humans, but it still seemed akin to going to commit suicide.

“If we leave that alone, won’t the other world perish?”

“Negative. There are no scenarios where destruction will occur.”

In the case that this world faces destruction, Akachan explained that I had already eliminated all possibilities.

“Uh-huh…”

I watched the war between humans and undead from a spectator’s point of view.

As Akachan said, the human army that I expected to be pushed back easily was holding their ground well.

“Impressive.”

The flags scattered across the battlefield belonged to the Empire.

‘It must be the empire created by the Crown Prince.’

He was skilled in all areas, so he would have become a wise king and made the Empire a great power.

The evidence was right before my eyes, and the tide of battle was slowly shifting towards the Empire.

Eventually, the imperial army reached the Elder Lich.

Despite being unable to withstand the offense, the Elder Lich faced a moment of death.

“Considering that he doesn’t die as long as the Life Vessel exists… That was quite impressive.”

After witnessing the end of the war, I finally got down to work.

‘The ultimate goal is to create a massive virtual reality RPG featured in fantasy games, but…’

To reach that ultimate goal, there was still so much that was lacking.

I could separately ask the Earth operative’s Akashic Record for help with the game release.

But the most important thing was marketing. Even if the game released, it would be useless if no one was there to promote it.

As for the marketing strategies that popped into my mind, there were two.

Internet broadcasters.

BJ, streamers, and YouTubers.

I could either assign advertisements to these single-person influencers or separately create a trailer for viral… I mean, marketing.

However, I still lacked many things to utilize these methods.

First, I needed money to outsource advertising, but I didn’t have any money.

Also, I didn’t have the technology or manpower to create trailers.

Wasn’t there a skilled person who could create a trailer alone?

“…”

“…”

Akachan averting her gaze from me.

“If someone like Akachan is around, wouldn’t she learn video editing and similar skills pretty quickly? I have high expectations for Akachan’s potential. Even if I brought another Akashic Record, there wouldn’t be a friend who could adapt to Earth faster than our Akachan. Besides, Akachan summoned me to this other world and got me rolled around, right? Of course, I like this world, but putting my life on the line is a different matter. Thinking about it, it feels a bit resentful. Akachan, do you have anything to say to me about this…”

“I… will do it.”

[Indie Minor Game Gallery]

Indie Minor Game Gallery, shortened to InGameGal.

It was a community of ‘hipster gamers’ specializing in minor indie games.

Originally, it was a narrow place that only the true enthusiasts could enter, but recently it had been trending with increased traffic.

This was because several indie games discovered there had become blockbuster hits, gaining popularity in turn.

Thus, it became a place of opportunity for indie developers as well.

If they got the word out in InGameGal, they could potentially succeed.

Of course, that was under the premise that they first developed a high-quality game.

The modeling was not consistent.

And the atmosphere felt too outdated.

The unique charm of hiccuping that stirs the childhood memories is good, but in the process, I feel that the knowledge one has is a bit lacking.

“I feel the knowledge is a bit lacking.” << Upvote that because it's messed up. LMAO, seriously. Aren’t these guys lacking more than just a bit? Do those developers really think they can make such comments after messing everything up? Where did the guys who said they would make fine dining from dog meat go? Don’t you know all those guys were hired hands? A normal person wouldn’t say something like that lol. If I were a fine dining chef, I would sue. ··· ··· ——— The featured posts in InGameGal were always filled with game slander. They were incredibly lenient towards indie games, but unforgiving towards major games. In that place appeared a post with high trolling potential. ——— [Title] Hiccupping Pink Farting Picture.jpg (YouTube link) Sorry for the clickbait, but I wanted to show this. Have you seen the trailer quality from this unknown game developer’s official YouTube? ——— That one post sent ripples throughout InGameGal.
