chapter 18
Episode 18 – Meeting the First Customer (2)
I couldn’t tell whether what I was seeing before my eyes was a dream or reality.
Brown hair that goes down to the shoulders.
Sapphire-like blue eyes carefully carved by a craftsman, one stitch at a time.
It is incomparable to Serin’s, and has a pocket of tolerance that is similar to or slightly larger than that of Epirina.
A simple face that doesn’t seem capable of saying harsh words to people, perhaps due to the lowered eye corners and large eyes.
Despite this, she is a woman who exudes a strange charm that tempts people.
My favorite heroine in Erasto Chronicle, and the goddess of no charge who was with me when I was a beginner.
‘Mina’ opened the door of my store and came in.
The first customer who opened the door to my store was Mina.
I couldn’t believe it.
I couldn’t believe if this was a dream or reality, so I pinched her forearm, but judging by the pain I felt, it was definitely not a dream but reality.
“Hey, could you possibly repair this item too?”
“Oh, yes. Please come in first.”
I saw Mina standing with her items to be repaired in her hands and came to her senses and guided her inside the store.
There were several tables and chairs placed inside the store, so I motioned for Mina to sit on one of the chairs.
“Thank you.”
“No. I am even more thankful for visiting our store. “What are you here to fix?”
I smiled as much as I could and served the customer.
I had originally planned to smile as much as I could for the guests, but I felt like I was smiling more than usual because Mina was the first guest.
She was not the Mina I had only seen through illustrations, but Mina, who was actually breathing and living like me, and I felt a new charm that I could not feel in the illustrations.
Mina unwrapped the leather bundle she was holding in her hands and took out the item she wanted to repair.
“This?”
I could not help but feel her astonishment when I saw what she had taken out of her leather bag.
In Mina’s hand was a crystal ball with a crack running across her entire bead.
Its size looked similar to Mina’s two fists joined together.
“This is a crystal ball that you attach to your magic wand.”
What Mina brought was a crystal ball attached to ‘Mina’s Magic Staff’, which was provided as her basic weapon.
Some people may say that not all crystal balls are the same, but I can boldly say that they are not.
In the past, the art book sold on the official site included a short description of the equipment used by the heroines.
The thing I looked at most carefully was about the magic wand.
My favorite heroine was Mina, so naturally I was at least a little interested in the magic wand that was her weapon.
Oh, but I forgot all the settings for the magic wand mentioned in the art book.
I don’t have a perfect memory, and my memory isn’t accurate because I saw the meme posted on the community a long time ago.
“Is there a crack, like a crystal ball split in half?”
However, contrary to my memory, the crystal ball currently in Mina’s hand had large cracks all over it.
From a distance, it looks like a crystal ball about to split apart.
“Yes. It hasn’t split yet, but there is a crack so even if it gets a little bit shocked…….”
What on earth happened that made the crystal ball split in half?
I quickly searched my memory to see if there was anything similar to a crystal ball being split in half in the Erasto Chronicle story, but unfortunately, there was no such content.
It may be that I don’t remember. That’s because I couldn’t see the story of some events due to lack of combat power.
So, even my memory has limits.
But now is not the time to worry about that.
“What was the original condition of the crystal ball?”
“So… It wasn’t cracked and cloudy like it is now. “It was so clear that you could see the other side through a crystal ball.”
According to Mina’s words, the crystal ball currently in her hand is not cloudy and has cracks here and there like a bead made of amethyst, but is transparent enough to see through the other side like a bead made of real glass. What I was saying was that I had to do it.
“Can you give me the item first? “I have to check the condition in the workshop and work on it.”
I asked Mina if I could hand over her things.
I could fix it, but I didn’t want to reveal to others how I repaired it yet.
“Oh, then you can fix it? If you can fix it, how long will it take? And if it is fixed, how much will it cost? Is it very expensive? Or could you please add some functionality to the crystal ball? If the cost is too high, is it okay to pay for something else instead? Or not… ….”
When I asked her to hand over the items, Mina suddenly stood up from her seat and suddenly came up to me, pushed her face in, and started asking me about this and that.
Well, what is it? Was Mina such a talkative heroine? If I remember correctly, she is not a heroine who talks this much.
More than that, her face is too close…….
“Ah!”
Mina must have realized that she was sticking too close, and her face was blushing and she was seen hurriedly backing away from her.
Hmm. She didn’t hate Mina for approaching me. I was just surprised that she suddenly approached me.
By the way, Mina has a refreshing scent.
No no no, what on earth are you thinking right now? Come to your senses!
“Well, I’m sorry! “You felt bad because I was too close to you, right?”
“hahahaha, it’s okay. “He is someone who values things, so he probably had a lot of things he wanted to ask.”
I waved Mina’s hand as she apologized and told her it was okay.
Only after she had calmed down to some extent was she able to hand over the items.
“Hey, how long will that take?”
“If you are not busy, could you sit down and wait for a while? “It won’t take long.”
“Then, I’ll be waiting here.”
Mina accepted my offer and sat quietly in her chair.
She honestly wished she could stay here a little longer, but she was. Mina was currently a student at Glessius Academy.
How did you know? Because the emblem attached to the clothes she is wearing right now is the emblem representing Glessius Academy.
The emblem symbolizing Glessius Academy was also used as an in-game icon, so she couldn’t have known it.
I opened the door to her studio and entered, holding the crystal ball I had received from Mina.
Actually, this is not really a studio, but a space created to give customers an excuse to do something.
Marcus looked like he was wondering why a space like this had to be created, but I explained that it was a space to secure the minimum probability because people in the world might not believe in my abilities.
Of course, he didn’t seem to understand what the probability was, so I explained, ‘We’re sending customers away right away, so it’s a place to kill time.’
Only then did Mr. Marcus nod his head repeatedly with an expression of understanding.
This studio was the place where it was created.
I entered the studio and placed Mina’s crystal ball on the workbench.
When I saw the crystal ball that looked like it was about to split in half at any moment, I picked up a hammer.
The hammer I used before was put away in the sack, and what I was holding in my hand now was the blacksmith’s hammer I had purchased at a price from a blacksmith shop in this city.
The handle was of appropriate length and the hammer head was small in size, making it easy to swing with one hand.
I hit the hammer three times at the crystal ball on the workbench.
―Tak! Widely! Perfect!
The first two times I heard a dull sound, and the last time I heard a hard sound.
Of course, the crystal ball was wrapped in a halo of light, and with the halo of light gone, the crystal ball became clear enough to see the other side.
Of course, since the color of the crystal ball was purple, it looked as if a purple filter had been inserted.
I came out of the studio holding the repaired crystal ball.
“Repair completed.”
I left the studio and informed Mina, who was sitting in her chair, that her repairs were complete.
Then Mina got up from her seat and came towards me.
“Really, the crystal ball has been fixed…” … ?”
“It was a little difficult, but we were able to repair it perfectly.”
Of course it’s lame. It wasn’t that hard. I hit it three times with a hammer and it was fixed.
But Mina seemed to have believed what I said.
“Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you so much for fixing my parents’ gift! It was a gift my parents bought me, so I couldn’t throw it away. Thank you very much. How much does the repair cost? Did you get a lot out of it?”
Oh, what is it? Was it a gift from your parents? Really? Somehow I kept it instead of throwing it away.
I thought something was wrong with Mina because she brought her crystal ball with her instead of throwing it away, but I never thought something like that would happen.
She even said it was a gift from her parents, and seeing Mina, my favorite heroine, so happy, almost told me to just go.
But I was able to endure it with superhuman patience.
Meeting a heroine I like means meeting her, and I should get paid accordingly.
If Mina becomes a regular, she may be able to fix it for cheap or provide free repairs as a service.
This is still my first customer, so my base is still weak to provide excessive service.
“Originally, I should have received fifty silver coins, but since this is my first customer, I’ll just give him five silver coins.”
Five silver coins are worth approximately 50,000 won.
“Okay, thank you. “Here’s the repair cost.”
Mina held out five silver coins with slightly trembling eyes.
Is the reason her eyes are shaking slightly because the repair cost is expensive, or is she happy that it is cheap?
I couldn’t figure out anything.
“Oh, and since you’re my first customer, I’ll give you this as a gift.”
Instead, I decided to give Mina a gift of her own.
I handed her about three vials of blue liquid sloshing from under her counter.
“Hey, what about this?”
“It’s a mana recovery medicine. “I got it from an alchemist I know well, and I’ll give it to you as a service.”
“Thank you! Good bye! I will spread a lot of rumors! Thank you!”
Mina packed a leather bag with a crystal ball and a mana potion and left her store.
Before leaving her store, seeing her smile brightly made her feel better without realizing it.
Meeting Mina as her first guest, she had a feeling that something would work out well.
