chapter 38
Episode 38 – A new student whom the president is suspiciously partial to (3)
The person who opened the door to the president’s office and came in was a woman of similar age to me.
Her hair, like a ripe orange, fell down to her shoulders, and the color of her eyes was reminiscent of an evening sunset.
She was wearing a white shirt and black miniskirt that literally showed off her great body.
She passed me sitting on the sofa and stood up in front of the president.
“1St year at Glesius Academy, Reina Eldinar. “I came here after receiving a call from the president.”
“Welcome, Raina.”
The president welcomed his female student named Raina.
“Do you mind if I ask what you called me for?”
Reina was clearly wearing a badge symbolizing an academy student, but what I felt from her was the stiff aura that one would expect from a soldier on guard duty.
“Reina was the grade representative representing the academy’s first year students, right?”
“Yes, that’s right.”
Hmm. That girl was the class representative. She said she was Reina El Dinar, right?
I think it would be better to remember the name.
She’s not the heroine of Erasto Chronicle, but she’s probably good enough to be class representative.
“The reason I called student Reina here is because she is nothing else, but because she wants to help the Pathos student sitting here adjust to the academy.”
“This is my first time seeing you. Are you an international student?”
Reina looked at me and frowned slightly.
Maybe he doesn’t like me?
Do you think I entered the academy through some illegal means?
“I am not an international student from another country, but a student who was admitted through a special selection process.”
“Special selection means…… ?”
“Ability user recommended by Chancellor Bergen Staylor. “Is this a sufficient explanation?”
When the president told Raina who I was, her expression became much more relaxed.
“Ah, yes. All right. “Then, when can I start helping with guidance?”
“I remember there will be a free class this afternoon, so I will just take a quick tour of the academy today. Since you will be taking the same classes for a month starting tomorrow, I hope this will help you get to know other students.”
“I understand. President.”
As I listened carefully to the two people talking, it seemed that this student named Raina had been chosen as a helper to help me adapt well to the academy.
It seemed like the president thought that he had the skills and character to be selected as a representative student representing the grade.
“Oh my, I want to keep talking, but something came up in the afternoon. I’ll call you again later when I have time. Student Raina? Could she introduce the Pathos student to her academy?”
After hearing the president’s words, Raina and I said hello to the president and left the president’s office.
An uncomfortable silence fell between Reina and me as we left the president’s office and exited the document tower.
“… Well, what the president said. Is it real?”
And it was Raina who broke the uncomfortable silence and spoke first.
“What…?” “You mean?”
I knew what Raina was asking, but she wanted me to be direct rather than repeating it, so I deliberately pretended not to understand her question.
“I mean, I entered the academy after receiving a recommendation from the Prime Minister. “Is this true?”
Reyna stood looking at me with her orange eyes wide open.
“It’s true. “Prime Minister Bergen Staylor recommended that I consider enrolling in the academy.”
I answered Raina nothing more, nothing less, exactly what she asked.
“So, did you accept the Prime Minister’s recommendation and enter Glesius Academy?”
“They say they provide me with various benefits even if I don’t ask for them. Is there a fool in this world who would refuse them?”
Reina and I left the document tower and walked and talked.
The topic of our conversation now was about my admission to the academy.
“It’s because I’m surprised that you entered the academy. “He is a person who doesn’t seem to have any ability on the outside, but it starts with the fact that he was recommended by the Prime Minister, and he is even treated to tea by the President.”
“In their eyes, it probably means that I am a person who deserves to be treated that way.”
“Well. It’s worth it. “They are people who do not show favor to anyone who is not someone they approve of.”
“I guess you know the Prime Minister and the President well?”
I listened carefully and saw that Raina was talking as if she knew the two people very well.
Does it disapprove of me receiving some benefit from the Prime Minister and the President?
“My father is the head of the Duke of Eldinar, one of the three dukes of this empire. So, I listen, learn, and know more than other students.”
Hmm, her last name, Eldinar, was the last name used by the duke’s family?
So, this means that she is a person of fairly pure blood or the highest class among noble families.
“So, I am very curious about you. “What kind of ability do you have that makes the Prime Minister and the President want to take care of you?”
Reina is now starting to wonder what abilities I have.
I knew very well that my abilities could not be hidden just because I kept them hidden, so I planned to tell her.
“It is the ability to fix everything.”
“Yes? “Fix what?”
“It is the ability to fix everything. “Everything.”
Reina looked like she couldn’t understand what I was saying.
“The ability to fix everything? Did you have that ability? “Is this your first time hearing this?”
As expected. Even though she heard what I said, she had doubts about my abilities.
“Of course it will be the first time you see it. Because it’s an ability that didn’t exist before.”
“Did you receive your abilities as a gift from someone?”
“I received it from the great goddess, Epitrina.”
“Yes?”
Reina was shocked when Epirina’s name came out of my mouth.
She also seems to be well aware of Epitrina’s ‘notoriety’.
“All, all, you! “If you call the Great Goddess’ name carelessly, you’ll be in big trouble!”
“Well, I don’t know. “I guess that’s what you think.”
Reina was pushing her finger towards me, but her eyes were trembling.
“Mi, Mimi, you must be crazy! “Don’t you know that if you call the Great Goddess’ name, you will be punished?”
“That’s your opinion. Now, look.”
I spoke to Raina while spreading her arms.
“Great Goddess, is Epirina such a scary goddess?”
“Uh, what is it? Why isn’t she punished?”
I mentioned Epitrina’s name again, but unlike Rayna, who was afraid, nothing happened to me.
“Who are you?”
“Me? I am pathos. “She is also an ability user who received abilities as a gift from the great goddess Epitrina.”
I clearly revealed who I was to Raina.
She thought that if I told her who the abilities I received came from, she would be able to properly explain me to people she meets later.
“You are the one who received her powers as a gift from Epitrina……. That’s never even appeared in history books…….”
Reina stood looking at me with a puzzled expression.
I just looked at her and shrugged her shoulders.
“Rather than that, could you please give me a tour of the academy facilities? “I think we’ll have to move quickly to cover everything today.”
“Ah, yes, yes. Yes. Please follow me. From now on, I will guide you through the academy facilities.”
When I asked Raina for guidance on the academy facilities, she guided me with a much softer demeanor and voice than before.
I was able to tour the inside of Glesius Academy while accompanying her.
“Huh? Raina. “Who is the person next to you?”
“This is a person named Pathos who was admitted through special selection this time. “He said she was recommended by the Prime Minister, so she was admitted through special admission this time.”
Whenever I accompanied Raina and met her person, she would introduce who I was.
But the way everyone looked at me was not very positive.
They probably didn’t like the fact that I was admitted through special selection.
“Ah! I know that person. “You’re the one who distributed bread at that repair shop, right?”
Among them, there was a student who recognized me.
Maybe there was someone among the academy students who came to eat or get the bread made with my abilities.
“Guys! “I heard you’re the one who made the delicious bread here!”
“What?”
“Really?”
However, from the moment the girl looked at me and said that she was the provider of delicious bread, the views of people around me began to change favorably.
“Is that the student who came in through special selection? “Whoever made that bread deserves to come in.”
“Hmm, that’s right. “If you have the ability to make that bread, you deserve to be our motivation.”
Some students said they would acknowledge me as their motivation.
Because it was my ability to make that bread, I suddenly became able to become friends with people easily thanks to my ability.
Thanks to you, Raina and I were able to finish our visit to the academy safely.
And the next morning.
“Hey, over there. “Can you make me some of that bread?”
From the first class, I received countless stares from students asking me for bread.
