I Became the Maid of the Lout Prince

Chapter 1 [Prologue (1)]

T/N: Deleted the original and re-translated 6/17/24. See another T/N (edited 9/12/24) at the end.

It was only two days ago that I realized this damned world was inside a game.

A crazy world where it’s possible to flatten a small hill into a plateau with a single sword strike or create a huge crater with magic.

And yet, the era has an artificial landscape that looks like it’s straight out of a medieval RPG adventure.

There’s an empire that trains students in educational institutions called academies to fight against monsters and dungeons that would never exist in reality.

Even ten-year-old children swing wooden sticks to enter the academy, so why did I only realize two days ago that this world was from a game?

It’s because it was only two days ago that I regained my memories from my previous life.

“Ugh…”

What’s even more terrible is the fact that the character I transmigrated into happens to be one of the most miserable characters in the game, Lilith.

Lilith Rosewood. Alias, Lilith, the Foolish Maid.

A character that is treated so pitifully in the story that you might think the developers had malice towards her.

I don’t even know how many attributes are attached to her. All sorts of obscene tags that you’d only find on adult manga websites are plastered all over this heroine.

The later her route is conquered, the worse her treatment becomes.

The worst character in the story gets completely ruined if her “salvation” by the protagonist is delayed.

It would have been better if I had never known.

As soon as I saw the face of that damn bastard, my memories from my previous life flooded into my head like blood rushing through blocked veins, and maybe because of the aftereffects or something, I had to be nursed by my fellow maid for two days while writhing in bed.

“Haa, I feel like my head is going to split…”

Enduring the headache that might have been a side effect of regaining my previous life’s memories or just from realizing this shitty problem, I somehow grabbed my head and got up from the bed I had been lying in.

It’s not that I particularly wanted to do maid work. I just got up because if I rest here all day today, it would be a burden on Isabel.

Although the memories from before the possession were recalled in an instant, they didn’t completely remove the memories of Lilith, who had lived in this world for more than a decade.

Especially the memories of her friendship with Isabel, a colleague who joined her as an apprentice maid about a year ago, remained even after I found my memories as a man in my previous life, to the point that they had a special meaning to me.

Having her take on my duties for two days and even nurse me on top of that, if I have any conscience, I should at least not lie in bed any longer than this.

‘…Why does this feel so heavy?’

As soon as I got up from the bed, I felt an awkward weight on my chest.

The discomfort from the two lumps of fat attached to my upper body was considerable, perhaps because I woke up with a decade’s worth of memories as a man flooding into my head.

Size-wise, I’d say they’re around an E or F cup. I’ve been living well with these things attached so far…

…And I’ll have to keep living with them attached. Every single thing was fucking terrible, no matter how much I mulled over it.

Anyway, what I had to do right now was get out of bed and return to my job. It wasn’t the time to be surprised by my body that had turned into a woman’s.

…Because I didn’t have a moment to spare in order to protect even this body.

『Luminor Academy: Age of Swords and Magic』

A strategy RPG (SRPG) game that I played quite a bit in my previous life. To be exact, it was the title of an adult game that combined the SRPG genre with the adult visual novel genre.

You can think of it as a dating sim where two main types of students – nobles born with magical talent and commoners who have to rely on swordsmanship and physical strength – gather at the academy, grow, and experience various events.

It’s also a mindless game where you have to invest an insane amount of time because you can’t skip the process of characters growing.

It’s a vicious game that even prevents you from branching save files to skip the grind, but it was still a successful title online, regardless.

Of course, there would be many reasons for that, but the most important one would be that your fellow characters (i.e., the heroines) are fap-worthy.

Most adult games that stimulate men’s instincts sell well if they just pull out one or two female characters that are fap-worthy.

Among them, Luminor Academy was a game that was quite a masterpiece in my personal evaluation, even if it included some elements that opinions were divided on.

So, even with the grinding element I mentioned earlier, I poured almost 2,000 hours of my life into it in my previous life.

It was terrible that you had to start the game over from the beginning each time to see a new route, but the story of that growth process could also be chosen in various ways, so it wasn’t that boring.

The plot of the work was also something that was decent to watch by my standards, as it carefully dealt with the salvation narrative of each heroine one by one.

Above all, it was a game that was pleasing to the eyes because the designs of the female characters, the core element of an adult game, were all spectacular.

Most notably, the individual events of each heroine in their respective routes had many elements that stimulated the hearts of men in many ways.

It’s gotten to the point where the harem route became unpopular, as you would only do it once compared to the routes with those individual events.

…One of those special routes is the route of this character named Lilith Rosewood, who I now possess.

Glossy, bouncy, short black hair. A round and cute appearance. Large breasts, a slim waist, and a tight pelvis.

As anyone can infer just by looking at this appearance reflected in the mirror, of course this character named Lilith Rosewood that I possessed was one of the most sought-after characters in Luminor Academy.

Moreover, she was one of the main heroines who could be considered to be representative of the salvation narrative heroines. In fact, she was a character with many hardcore fans, always ranking in the Top 3 in three official popularity polls.

Separate from such public opinion, she was one of my most disliked characters.

It’s not that I particularly disliked Lilith’s appearance or personality. It’s just that I didn’t like her because she had elements that were hard for me, a natural unicorn *1, to bear.

This character was already a non-virgin character who had a sexual experience by the start of the game’s main story, the entrance ceremony.

Of course, Lilith wasn’t the only non-virgin heroine in Luminor Academy, but she was the only heroine who could only be obtained through a non-virgin route, no matter what.

There were several things that made Lilith unique. These included an event where, in their childhoods, she and the main character promise to see Lilith’s childhood village again in the future, an event where the main character unintentionally prevents her from having her first time stolen by another man, and special choices appearing on the second playthrough to enter a different story after seeing each of the individual route endings on the first.

The other non-virgin heroines in Luminor Academy had a virgin route somehow.

…That is, except for this Lilith, whom I currently possess.

In the story, no matter what I did as the main character, there was no way to meet her before the entrance ceremony of the academy. Not to mention, she was a terrible heroine who, by the time we first met her, was no longer a virgin every single time. She’s the kind of heroine you’d think a unicorn-hater *1 would create.

…And in my previous life, I realized that fact way too late.

Out of my 2,000 hours of playtime, I must have spent roughly 500 hours digging for this character’s virgin route. In the end, I never found it.

As a result, I, a unicorn *1, ended up spending the most playtime on an eternally non-virgin heroine, so Lilith remained in my memory as the worst character in Luminor Academy.

…No, I guess she isn’t the worst after all.

The reason I came to hate Lilith is all because of that bastard who always took Lilith’s first time without fail.

Ethan Richard Blackwood.

As soon as I recalled the face of that damn guy who’s an early-game antagonist, and Lilith’s original master, my head was already getting dizzy.

‘I feel like I’m going to fucking puke thinking about working while looking at that bastard’s face.’

Ethan Richard Blackwood. Alias, Ethan, the Lout Prince.

If this bastard didn’t take Lilith’s first time in every playthrough of the game, I wouldn’t have spent 500 hours for this non-virgin character.

Seeing how the memories of my previous life that I had completely forgotten for more than a decade in this life came back as soon as I saw Ethan’s face, I must have had quite a lot of resentment towards that damn Ethan bastard in my previous life.

That’s because this guy was always one of the three most unpopular characters within Luminor Academy, so he was a guy you couldn’t forget even if you tried.

First, he has an appearance that prevents favorable impressions from forming.

He has an extremely disgusting appearance, he’s a fatty who is short as fuck, and he’s clearly spoiled rotten since childhood to the point that it shows he hasn’t managed himself at all, always going around with something filthily smeared around his mouth and clothes.

Especially in this game where most characters, including the protagonist and heroines, have above-average looks, he was the only character with a repulsive appearance, so that alone pretty much says it all.

Even if we generously assume that he could somehow have a tolerable appearance if he just lost weight, the problem was this character’s asshole personality.

That’s because this bastard turned Lilith, his exclusive maid, into pretty much his own slave for a full five years from when he was 19 until he entered the academy.

The level of that abuse was honestly difficult to express in words one by one.

Anyway, he was a guy who did pretty much every conceivable repulsive thing in the game to the point where you’d think there’s nothing he didn’t do to Lilith.

…And that exclusive maid Lilith happens to be me, fucking hell….

If you’re going to have me possess someone, make it the protagonist or at least my favorite character, Natalie, if it’s a female character.

Having me possess Lilith, the character with the most miserable treatment in the story, is an act that crosses the line no matter how you think about it.

All I did was consistently write posts for three years on Luminor Academy-related forums calling Lilith a mega-whore slut…

“……”

…Well, it’s not like I didn’t do anything wrong at all. Of course, if you ask if that deed implies that I deserved to forcibly possess Lilith, the answer is obviously no.

I’m sure anyone would curse if they found out that the character you spent 500 hours on is a character that you can only obtain as a non-virgin, no matter how you look at it.

Anyway, what I need to do now is not lament my fate or complain. It’s to find a way to somehow survive.

…And the most important thing is to avoid becoming the exclusive maid of that fucking bastard, Ethan.

I’d rather hang myself and die than let that bastard do things to me like in the original. I’m not bluffing, I’m dead serious.

‘…Wait, don’t tell me…’

Suddenly feeling a chilling sensation, I put my hand inside my underwear to check the inside, and fortunately, I had proof that Lilith’s virginity was still intact.

Come to think of it, it doesn’t make sense timewise for Ethan to have done anything to me when that bastard only woke up from the curse two days ago.

Let’s maintain this going forward. Most of all, I should never get dragged around foolishly by that damn Ethan bastard like in the original.

Now that I, who played Luminor Academy for 2,000 hours, have possessed Lilith Rosewood, the ‘Foolish Maid Lilith’ will no longer exist in this world.

I’ll make sure of that, somehow.

T/N (edited 9/12/24)

I took the time to look through the comments in the raw chapter to understand what a “unicorn” is. It seems that Koreans colloquially use the term “unicorn” for its mythological nature. According to myth, only a virgin can capture a unicorn. So, in this context, the MC is only interested in virgins.

Hello! Axiomatic here.

Okay, I get it. This is a horrible introduction to a novel. Heck, I even considered dropping this by Chapter 30 since I thought I couldn’t handle the obscenity as a new TL. However, there’s a clear reason why I’ve translated 200+ chapters, and it’s not about the money. The short answer is that the story gets better over time.

The only argument I have to justify why you would continue reading is that it is only in this chapter (Chapter 1) that the motivations of the MC are fully delineated. Only slight references to the MC’s attitude or beliefs as a unicorn are made in future chapters, and most of the succeeding chapters rarely dwell on these concepts.

If you do give this novel a chance, I promise you won’t regret it. Sure, the motivations of our MC are dogshit, but if you choose to put that aside, you might find this novel enjoyable. Please take my word for it. I’ve seen the light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks for reading; hope to see you in the next one!
