I Became The Necromancer In The Post-Apocalyptic Zombie World

Chapter 17

Chapter 17

—–CROW—–

*Static.*

[Seong… static… Soo… static… report… static…]

“Fuck, what’s wrong with this thing?”

Sergeant Seong Ho-soo slammed his radio in frustration.

[…Static, static…]

“The signal seems to be weak.”

They’d come quite far from the dormitory, increasing the distance.  But this radio should have a range of about 10 kilometers.  Seong Ho-soo shoved the static-filled radio into his pocket.

“Whatever, we’ll report later.”

“Are we going in?”

“We have to go inside and check if there’s food there, don’t we?”

The two, pursuing the unidentified man, arrived at a warehouse on the outskirts of the city. From a hill overlooking the warehouse, they watched the unidentified man open the door and drive his van inside.

“If there’s a lot of food in there, we won’t have to worry about meals for a while, Seok-ho.”

“Haa… I want to eat instant rice with spam and a ton of kimchi stew.”

“I don’t know about kimchi, but there’s bound to be plenty of spam.”

Clutching their hungry stomachs, the two stared at the warehouse with a glint of determination in their eyes.  Even though they were soldiers who controlled the dormitory, they too were short on food.  Even after reducing the rations for the civilians, there wasn’t enough for everyone to eat their fill.  Raiding this suspicious man’s warehouse was a matter of survival.

“Haa, but isn’t he a total idiot? How can he give up so much food just to get laid…?”

“He must have plenty to spare. That means he has a lot of food.”

But Seong Ho-soo also thought the man was a fool.  No matter how desperate he was for a woman, he’d shown the soldiers a large quantity of food.  It was like asking to be robbed.

“Hear anything?”

“…Nothing.”

The two approached the warehouse door and cautiously listened for any signs of movement inside.  The man had just driven his van in, so he had to be inside.

“What if he’s busy fucking?”

“Then we’d hear moaning.”

“There could be other rooms inside.”

“Hmm…”

It made sense.  He was a crazy bastard who was willing to give up a large amount of food just for a woman.  He must have drooled and pounced on her as soon as he brought her to his hideout.

‘This is our chance.’

If the man was busy fucking inside, as Private Kim Seok-ho suggested, this was their only chance to search the warehouse.  If they went in after he was done, he might fight back.  And with that much food, there was no telling what kind of weapons he might have.

“Seok-ho, set your rifles to single shot. If he spots us, aim for the legs.”

“Yes, sir.”

*Click, click.*

They loaded their magazines, switched their rifles to single shot, and prepared to enter.

“This place is strange, isn’t it?”

“What is?”

“Even for the outskirts, there are no zombies. This would be a great place to live.”

“What, you want to move here from the dormitory?”

“After we take care of him, it might be worth suggesting. There’s no food left around the dormitory anyway.”

“Forget it, focus. We don’t know what’s going on inside.”

“Ah, yes, sir. Sorry.”

*Creeeak…*

With a tense expression, Private Kim Seok-ho pulled the warehouse’s only door sideways.  The large door creaked open, creating a small gap just wide enough for a person to pass through.  The two slipped inside.

“…Man, it’s dark in here. Turn on your flashlight.”

“Yes, sir.”

And then…

*Creeeak. Thud.*

“Hey, fuck. I said turn on your flashlight, not close the door. I can’t see anything!”

“I-I didn’t close it!”

“What? What do you…”

The slightly open warehouse door suddenly slammed shut, plunging the interior into darkness.

“Goddammit, hey…! Hurry up and turn on your flashlight!”

“Y-Yes, sir!”

Panicked by the sudden darkness, Seong Ho-soo hissed at Kim Seok-ho.  Kim Seok-ho fumbled for his flashlight.

And just before the flashlight came on…

*Rumble!*

“What… what was that sound…?”

A rumbling sound echoed from somewhere.

“Turning it on!”

Kim Seok-ho finally found the switch and turned on his flashlight, illuminating a small part of the warehouse.  And…

-Groan…

-Moan, moan, moan.

In the beam of the flashlight…

…countless zombies were shuffling towards them.

“H-Holy shit!”

Seong Ho-soo yelled in surprise.

-Graaaaaah!

-Kyaaaaaah!

The zombies reacted to his voice.

“I’ll shoot, you open the door! Hurry!”

“Y-Yes, sir!!”

*Bang! Bang! Bang!*

Loud gunshots echoed through the dark warehouse as Seong Ho-soo started taking down zombies.  But aiming in the dark with only a flashlight beam was incredibly difficult.

“Hey!! Are you done yet?!”

“S-Something’s wrong, Sergeant Seong! The door is locked!!”

*Rattle, rattle.*

He desperately tried to open the warehouse door they’d just come through, but it wouldn’t budge.  It had opened easily with minimal effort before.  It was as if someone had locked it from the other side.

“Fuck!! Run!!”

“Hieek! Yes, sir!”

*Bang! Bang!*

Overwhelmed by the sheer number of zombies slowly closing in, the two scrambled for cover.

“Is there anything around?! Any rooms or anything?!”

*Bang! Bang!*

Seong Ho-soo covered Kim Seok-ho as best he could, shooting the approaching zombies in the head.  But there were too many.

‘Fuck!! Fuck!! Why are there so many zombies in here?!’

He didn’t have enough ammo to kill them all.  Their only option was to find a place to hide.

“I-I found something! This, this way!”

‘Thank god!’

Kim Seok-ho, desperately searching for a hiding place, spotted a faintly visible door.  A barred door.  In this enclosed space, it was their only refuge.

They shot their way towards the door and quickly slipped inside.

*Clang.*

Fortunately, the barred door had a lock on the inside that they could reach and secure.  And thanks to that…

-Graaaaaah!!

-Kyaaaaaah!!

*Bang! Bang!*

The zombies could only reach through the bars, unable to get inside.

“Haa, I thought we were dead.”

“S-Sergeant Seong.”

“Good work.  Let’s go back and report to the captain… what’s wrong?”

Used to being chased by zombies during scouting missions, Seong Ho-soo calmed down after finding a safe spot. But his subordinate’s reaction made him uneasy.  Kim Seok-ho’s gaze was shaking.  He was holding his flashlight, looking behind them.

“What are you loo…king… at…?”

Seong Ho-soo turned around, following Kim Seok-ho’s gaze, and froze.  The flashlight beam illuminated the corridor beyond the barred door, revealing only a solid wall.

“H-Holy shit! What the fuck?!”

*Bang! Bang!*

Panicked, Seong Ho-soo rushed towards the wall illuminated by the flashlight and started banging on it.  But instead of the solid thud of concrete, he heard only the hollow clang of metal.

“S-Sergeant Seong… I think we’re fucked.”

They hadn’t entered a room.  They were inside a large container, designed for transporting large animals.  With zombies swarming outside, this enclosed space had become… a prison.

***

*Squelch, squelch.*

“Mmm━! Hmm!  Uh, hmm…!”

After luring them into the warehouse with the van and moving it to the back, I’d been playing with Oh Na-yeon’s pussy to pass the time while waiting for them to fall into my trap.

“Hmm! *Gasp!* Mmm━!”

*Squelch, squelch.*

“Stay still.  I’m being gentle.”

I’d moved Oh Na-yeon to the backseat of the van, her back against me, and slipped my hand inside her panties, gently stimulating her clit.

*Trickle…*

Lewd fluids started flowing from her pussy.

“Wow, see this? This is all from your pussy. You’re such a slut, aren’t you?”

“Hmmph…!”

Oh Na-yeon, her pussy being played with, could only blush, tears streaming down her face as she squeezed her eyes shut, her mouth gagged.

With her hands tied, she could only squirm in protest. I pulled her closer, kneaded her breasts, and nuzzled her neck, inhaling her scent.

“*Sniff*, haa, I guess having a boyfriend means you take care of yourself.”

A faint scent of sweat, her natural feminine scent, and the fragrance of cosmetics.  The scent aroused me, making my cock even harder.  I rubbed my hardening cock against Oh Na-yeon’s buttocks.

“You’ve never done this with your boyfriend, have you?”

*Squelch, squelch.*

I gently teased her wet entrance with my fingers.  Lewd squelching sounds filled the air as Oh Na-yeon moaned through her gag.

“HMMMM━!”

“But what can you do? It’s *me* touching your pussy.”

Oh Na-yeon silently shed tears.  Seeing her like this sparked a sadistic desire within me.  But I’d stop here for now.

‘They should be done by now.’

I removed my hand from Oh Na-yeon’s pussy, ending my little game of teasing.  She flinched, her moans turning into ragged breaths.

“Congratulations. You’ve been abandoned by your comrades and sold to me.  And for just some food.”

“…….”

Gagged, Oh Na-yeon couldn’t answer. She just stared blankly ahead, tears streaming down her face.  She must have realized it a long time ago.  That she’d been sold to me in exchange for food.

*Lick.*

I leaned in and licked away her tears.

“Hmmph…!”

Oh Na-yeon blushed and struggled again.  She was quite cute.

“Now, wait a little bit. I’ll play with you plenty later.”

*Clatter, thud.*

I left Oh Na-yeon in the van and headed into the warehouse. I was curious to see how things had turned out.

‘I hope they didn’t get eaten by the zombies.’

They had two choices: get bitten and die, unable to escape the zombies, or find a place to hide and survive. If they chose the latter, I’d applaud them.  It was the worse of the two choices.

‘If they’re going to die anyway, it’s better to die here.’

Filled with anticipation, I unlocked the warehouse door and went inside.

*Creeeak…*

The large door creaked open, and sunlight flooded the warehouse.

“I-Is anyone there?!”

A voice called out from a nearby container.  The entrance to the container was swarmed by zombies, obscuring the view inside.  And judging by the dead zombies around the entrance, it seemed they’d been shooting from inside the container.

‘Did they use up all their ammo?’

If they still had bullets, they might shoot me.  But they wouldn’t do that, knowing they’d be trapped in here and starve to death.  I adjusted my mask and sunglasses and approached the container.

“Well, well, if it isn’t my customers. What brings you here?”

I greeted them casually.  Naturally, they stared at me in surprise.  Because I was speaking after communicating only through letters? No, it was probably because of the unbelievable sight before them.

“H-How… How are the zombies not attacking you?”

Sergeant Seong Ho-soo, standing in the corner of the container, pointed at me with a trembling hand.

“Well, is that really important right now?”

Of course, I didn’t give them a proper answer.  I casually put my arm around a zombie reaching through the bars and continued,

“Don’t you have something you want to say to me?”

I grinned beneath my mask as I spoke, and Private Kim Seok-ho, the quicker of the two to grasp the situation, approached me, wringing his hands.

“S-Sir! Please help us! Get rid of those zombies and get us out of here!”

He looked like he was about to cry.  Seeing Kim Seok-ho like this, Seong Ho-soo seemed to realize the situation and yelled at me,

“Y-Yes! Please help us! If you’re not attacked by zombies, you can get rid of them!”

I secretly laughed at their pleas.  It was such a ridiculous request.

‘If they just thought about it for a second, they’d know who trapped them.’

Their minds must have been clouded by panic.  They followed me.  The place they followed me into was full of zombies.  And I wasn’t attacked by zombies.

But driven by their survival instinct, they knelt before me, begging for help.  I pretended to ponder, stroking my chin.

“Hmm… Of course, I’d like to help, but… did you follow me here?”

I asked, feigning ignorance.  Their faces stiffened. They looked like they’d been caught red-handed.

‘You’re being too obvious.’

I almost burst out laughing.  Even in a desperate situation like this, I would have smiled and denied it.  It was amusing to see them become so foolish when their lives were on the line.

“Th-That’s…! We were just following the captain’s orders!”

“Hey, fuck! Kim Seok-ho!”

“We have to survive!  There’s no point making excuses now that we’ve been caught!”

Even Kim Seok-ho, who usually obeyed his superior without question, raised his voice at Seong Ho-soo in this life-or-death situation.  And Seong Ho-soo, as if acknowledging the validity of Kim Seok-ho’s words, remained silent, just staring at me pleadingly.

“We’re sorry! We’ll tell the captain that we lost you! We’ll tell him never to pursue you again! So please, help us!”

Kim Seok-ho begged, even kneeling.  He knew what would happen if he offended me.

“Please… We’ll apologize on behalf of the captain.”

And Seong Ho-soo, seeing his subordinate’s desperate efforts, bowed and pleaded with me as well.

“Hmm… then I have a condition.”

I had no intention of letting them go, but I spoke as if I was doing them a favor.  Their faces immediately brightened.

“J-Just tell us! We’ll do anything!”

Kim Seok-ho’s voice was filled with hope at the prospect of survival.  He looked like he’d gladly strip naked if I asked him to.  Of course, I had no interest in seeing a man’s naked body.

“Then will you give these to me? Both of them.”

I pointed at the chunks of metal slung over their shoulders.  Their K2 assault rifles.  Kim Seok-ho, seeing where my finger was pointing, looked flustered.

“W-Why…?”

“Well, you might attack me when you get out of here, right? So, just in case, please hand them over to me.”

“W-We would never do that! We wouldn’t do such a despicable thing to our benefactor…!”

“That’s right! Besides, we’ve used up all our ammo, so we can’t use them anyway.”

They desperately tried to defend themselves, but I wasn’t an idiot.  I wasn’t going to fall for their lies.  I just silently extended my hand.

“Ugh…”

“S-Sergeant Seong…”

The two exchanged glances and then, as if resigned to their fate, reluctantly handed over their rifles.

*Click.*

I pulled the rifles towards me.  After retrieving both of their weapons, I skillfully detached the magazines and checked the contents.

‘Used up all their ammo, my ass.’

There were still bullets left in the magazines.  I looked at Seong Ho-soo, who’d blatantly lied, and he averted his gaze.

“S-So, are you going to help us now?”

Kim Seok-ho, who had indeed used up all his ammo, smiled awkwardly and looked at me pleadingly.

“Of course. But before that, there’s something I want to show you.”

“Yes? Show us…?”

I answered in a gentle voice, and then, under their questioning gazes, I reached up and removed my mask and sunglasses.  Two curious eyes stared at me.

“What, don’t you recognize me?”

Frowning, I reacted to their failure to recognize me.  Then their eyes widened, and they spoke in trembling voices.

“You, you fucking, you bastard…!”

Sergeant Seong Ho-soo was the first to react.  He’d been the one who’d hit me the most, so he recognized me faster.

“L-Lee Seo-ho…”

Kim Seok-ho, finally recognizing me, lost the hope in his eyes and his face hardened in despair.  He must have realized it the moment he saw me.  That they weren’t getting out of here.

“It’s so good to see you, you motherfuckers.”

I looked at their faces with an affectionate gaze and smiled brightly.
