I Ended My Engagement With My Childhood Friend, the Hero

chapter 6

6 – Defeat me.

In a way, Liden was like my little sister, and she had no intention of hiding it from Riden.

So I told Liden about what had happened.

He told me everything, from the story of breaking up the marriage with Raina, to the story of leaving the warrior party.

“We just broke up. And we left the warrior party and are working here. Me and Raina are adults too, and we didn’t get along. It’s not uncommon for adults to break up because their personalities don’t match, right?”

However, he did not say why they broke up.

Still, Liden was also Raina’s younger sister, and she didn’t want to act in a petty way by slandering her older sister in front of Liden.

So she was just going to wrap it up by saying they broke up on good terms…

“Sure… Rina’s unnie… Must have done something really bad to her brother-in-law…? I can’t quite imagine how she broke up…”

How did you know?

“…?”

“You don’t have to say that. I know her older sister’s personality…And I know her brother-in-law’s personality very well…”

Unexpectedly, Liden’s judgment seemed to be very quick.

Well, maybe it’s her sister who knows more about Rina than I do, so it’s natural to judge like that…

And even if it’s not that, Liden has always been a pretty smart kid.

“I’m sorry about something. Brother-in-law… Because of my sister…”

Liden bowed her head, and she apologized to me.

When I look at Liden, I feel it, but the present Liden seems to resemble her past Laina.

At that time, Raina was a very understanding and kind girl like Leeden now, but how did it end up like this?

“You have nothing to be sorry about. And I’m not your brother-in-law anymore.”

Anyway, this was absolutely nothing to apologize for from Liden.

I lifted Liden’s head and corrected her title.

Since she was no longer engaged to Rina, there was no reason for her to be called brother-in-law.

“I’m not a brother-in-law anymore.”

“Ah… I see. Then what should I call you from now on…?”

Laina puts on an expression that makes her want to take it for granted at my point.

Raina thought for a moment and then she came up with a new title.

That… Then Alan’s brother?”

It’s been a long time since I heard the word oppa.

I felt like I had gone back to before I got engaged.

“Not even that.”

But, unfortunately, it wasn’t even this title.

“Allan. Call me teacher.”

Riden is now a student, and now I am a teacher.

“Let’s go into the classroom.”

“Yes sir.”

@ @ @

That’s how the conversation with Liden came to an end, and I entered the classroom.

As I entered the classroom and Leiden sat down, I saw a total of two students in front of me.

Since the student named Seria said she went to her parents’ house for a while, the student in the classroom was a student named Luna who was sleeping in the corner with Liden, the students I had to teach from now on.

I thought for a while while watching these students, and honestly, I couldn’t help but worry.

Because I was just a member of the warriors’ party, and I’m still a confident active soldier when it comes to combat, but even so, from the point of view of being a professor, I wasn’t that great.

I wondered if I, who had never taught anyone before, would be able to teach these children well.

So, how should I teach? When I taught like that, I honestly wasn’t sure if the students would learn well.

So I thought about what I should do.

Still, there was one decent way I could do it.

‘Hmm… After all, it’s better to copy at times like this, right?’

That was also to follow.

In the distant past, when I was taught by Master at the academy, there was a way Master taught me or Laina and other children.

I don’t think I wrote down the virtues of that master. Because it was the master who taught me and the pretty good students named Raina.

So I try to follow similarly the way Master taught me back then.

At least if you follow along, even if you don’t do well, you’ll eat half of it and go in.

No matter how much I thought about it, it was a very reasonable method.

So, on the first day of my appointment as a temporary instructor, what I had to do was decided.

“Children, I’m going to the practice field from now on…!”

First of all, the first thing to do was to test the students’ skills.

Even when my teacher taught me in the past, the first place he took me was the practice room.

When I first met me in the past, it was Master who said, ‘Let’s see your skills first?’, And I’m going to look at these guys’ real skills as well.

“Yes sir.”

Leeden said yes, and immediately got up from her seat and prepared to go to the practice room.

“Cool cool…”

However, there were students who did not do that.

A student named Luna who is still sleeping in the far corner.

There was no sign that it would happen at all.

“Hmm… Luna…? Would you like to wake up?”

A small girl with pink hair.

I’ve seen it in student profiles.

She had heard that Luna was a child who loved to sleep and that she was very troublesome to eat.

I’m not asking you to overcome that constitution right away, but I still had to go to the training center.

I’m sorry to wake you up because you’re sleeping so soundly, but I’ll have to wake you up anyway.

“mmm…?”

I started waking Luna up.

I shake her to wake her up, and then Luna opens her dreamy eyes and looks at me.

“I’m going to have a class at our training center. Let’s go too, Luna.”

I told Luna to go to her training center once again.

“…”

Luna listened to me, looked around her briefly, and nodded at her.

She seemed to have listened, but it seemed like she was not listening.

However, strangely, she spread her arms, but did not stand up from her seat.

“…?”

What are you doing?

I didn’t understand Luna’s behavior at all.

Why did she spread her arms all of a sudden?

Her answer to that was given by Liden by her side.

“Ah. Sir. I want you to carry it.”

“You’re asking me to carry you?”

“Yes. When Luna moves, she never moves on her own feet. Teachers always carry Luna on her back.”

I listened to Liden’s words and put my back behind her as she went to Luna.

And just like Liden said, Luna finally got on my back.

Luna fell asleep again.

So I headed to her practice room with her Luna on my back.

As a tanker in the warrior’s party, I wasn’t too uncomfortable about carrying a small girl on my back.

I was able to get to the practice field right away because he was not particularly heavy.

It’s been a long time since I’ve heard of a training center, where me, Master, and Raina used to practice.

I’m coming here for the first time in years, and this time I’m in the position of being a teacher.

It was a moment when I felt a bit refreshed.

“Luna is all over.”

I looked down at Luna on the waiting chair in the practice field.

Then, following her arrival, Luna opened her eyes again.

“95 Points…”

Luna woke up again.

She then stared at me and then she suddenly said something she didn’t know.

“What are you talking about?”

95 Points… What the hell is 95 points?

I was taken aback because I heard something I didn’t understand at all…

“Wow… Sir. You got 95 points.”

“…?”

From the side, Leeden was surprised to hear that it was 95 points.

As if she was asking if she could get that kind of score.

“What score is this?”

I asked Riden about the identity of the score I received.

“Luna evaluates the person who carried her on her back, and that’s the score I just mentioned.”

Leeden explained the score.

“What kind of score do you have…?”

To be honest, I felt a bit embarrassed.

How do you rate something like this?

I got a high score of 95, I don’t know if I should like this or not…

It felt like that.

“Mr. Alan. This score of 95 is really quite unusual and a record number. What a picky kid Luna is. I got 15 points.”

Looking at Riden’s reaction, I think it’s right that she likes her a little bit, even if she doesn’t know what it is.

It’s because I don’t know, isn’t this a pretty great and important score?

“Spacious… Reliable. And warm. Plus the stability that doesn’t shake at all… Very satisfied…”

As if she was right, Luna herself praised me very much.

Luna stared at me, she chuckled and stuck her thumb out.

Luna’s tone, speaking slowly and clearly, was quite satisfying…

‘Should I like it? Should I not?’

I still didn’t really feel the greatness of this score, but…

I just decided not to think deeply about it. It’s just a high score. It would be if you genuinely like it.

“Anyway, let’s start the first lesson now. Come along, both of you.”

I was about to start class now.

I took Luna and Liden to the practice field.

“Yes sir.”

“…”

Luna and Liden, who followed me and came out of the practice field, stood at opposite ends.

“What’s the first class? Teacher.”

“mmm…”

Luna and Riden looked at me and asked.

“I’m going to start a mock duel now. The rules are simple. Beat me.”

I’m thinking of taking a look at the skills of the two.
