I got reincarnated in the world of Attack on Titan

Roderich

- My Pov -

As soon as we were done with our business in the bathroom, Milch and I immediately began getting ready to go somewhere with Pastor Nick.

When the nuns who were washing their bodies saw me coming out of one of the booths, they displayed various facial expressions.

Some of them didn't show any signs of suspicion at all, while the others who were on my side smiled in a way that suggested they understood what Milch and I were doing while we were in the booth.

But I didn't pay any attention to them, and I walked out of the bathroom with a smile on my face and a feeling of renewed energy. In the meantime, Milch emerged from the stall and hurriedly followed me while keeping her head lowered.

Following that, Milch and I made our way to Pastor Nick's place. I went into a room that is typically used for prayer by the priests, nuns, and members of this religious organization.

Because it is already night, so this place gives off the impression of being deserted, and when I go inside, the only people I can see are two men speaking to each other in a low voice.

Priest Nick is one of the men, and I believe I've seen the other man in the Attack on Titan anime and manga at some point.

Inwardly, I remarked in a low voice, "ah, that's right, if I'm not mistaken, his name is Roderich."

"This guy named Roderich only appears in the anime and manga a few times. So people forget his character quickly."

'but it's undeniable that he has strong connections to the royal family. Because of his appearances in manga and anime, he's always been around the king as well as other important nobles,' I said in my heart.

A grin suddenly appeared on my face without my knowledge, and shortly after that, Pastor Nick noticed that Milch and I were approaching.

"Looks like you two are ready." said Pastor Nick.

Even though he's making an effort to look serious, I can tell from the look in his eyes that he's feeling quite anxious right now.

"Yes, I'm completely ready," I responded with a cheery attitude, and after that, I sat down on the bench that is typically located in the church where I usually visit on Earth.

Meanwhile, Milch said nothing and just stood beside me, and Pastor Nick didn't seem to mind and continued to speak.

"You may know him as Kaiser. He is the blessed child I once told you about."

Suddenly, Pastor Nick pointed at me, and the man named Roderich, who was standing beside him, turned to look at me with an expressionless face, or you could also say that he did not have any other expressions on his face.

Because he never appears with a smile and always has a serious expression, even in the anime and manga adaptations of the story.

Even when I tried to check his status through the system, the information I got was only what I already knew from the anime and manga, so you could say that he was indeed a supporting character in the story.

"I heard you are also a genius child. Nice to meet you. My name is Roderich."

Roderich then proceeded to introduce himself to me while maintaining his expression of indifference.

However, I only give a brief response.

"pleased to meet you."

After that, I appeared to be distracted by something else as I turned my head in the opposite direction. Of course, it goes without saying that I did this on purpose because, despite the fact that he has close ties to the royal family, in the end, none of that matters.

Because of how it is depicted in the manga and anime, a supporting character named Roderich winds up wasting away in jail, unable to accomplish much of anything.

So I'm just going to build a connection with him, at a minimum, for the time being.

After listening to my response, Roderich showed no emotion other than a slight nod of the head before saying, "Then let's go."

The three of us—Milch, Pastor Nick, and I—followed Roderich out of the church, where we found a horse-drawn carriage waiting for us just outside the gate. This carriage would serve as our mode of transportation for the remainder of our journey.

After that, I cheerfully got in the carriage, and of course, Milch took the space beside me right away. Meanwhile, the two middle-aged men sat in front of me with straight faces.

After everything was ready, the coachman drove the horse-drawn carriage, and after that, the journey into the night began. As a result of Pastor Nick's earlier hazy explanation, I have a general idea of where we are going, and as a result, I have not been able to keep a smile off my face the entire time.

From where I was standing, I had a clear view out the glass window onto the streets of the city of Mitras, also known as the royal capital, because it is home to the royal family as well as citizens of the upper class.

However, the view of the city disappeared entirely, and all that was left was a vast field dotted here and there with isolated homes.

Shortly after that, the horse-drawn carriage came to a stop in front of the gate of a mansion that was located on the outskirts of the city, but despite its remote location, the mansion gave off the impression of being quite extravagant.

Even before I entered the mansion, I could already tell that it was owned by very important people because I could see several members of the military police standing guard outside the gate.

The military police were seen carrying rifles at hand while maintaining serious expressions, and I even saw some of them wearing three-dimensional maneuvering gear.

In addition, there were several horse carriages waiting in line at the entrance to this mansion so that they could be inspected before being allowed inside.

After a short while, it was the turn of the horse carriage that I was traveling in to be inspected. However, after Roderich presented the military police with a special invitation letter, they let us in without checking the inside of the carriage.
