Chapter 26: Unreasonable Combo Moves
Su Ye's bullet attacks were quite entertaining, catching the Green Goblin off guard, the damage caused was minimal.
The Green Goblin's flight suit had formidable defense, impervious to actual bullets, let alone Su Ye's ball-shaped spider silk, which had impact but no penetration. Its force wasn't even comparable to a scratch.
"Hmph! Such petty tricks, Spider-Man? You underestimate me!"
The Green Goblin decided to stop defending, allowing the ball-shaped webs to strike his suit freely.
Then, under his control, a row of gun barrels on his glider spewed out a dense barrage of bullets.
"Hahaha! Watch closely, this is how you shoot, you fool!" the Green Goblin laughed wildly.
Before the Green Goblin initiated the bullet barrage, Su Ye sensed the danger. He stopped shooting webs mid-air and shot a web towards a distant lightning rod.
Before the Green Goblin could fire, Su Ye pulled on the web, launching himself sideways with great speed.
"Hmph! You can't escape!"
The Green Goblin turned his glider, the gun barrels tracking Su Ye's movements, riddling the nearby building walls with bullets. Debris and shattered glass rained down.
The onlookers below screamed in panic.
After swinging around the lightning rod, Su Ye leapt high, charging towards the Green Goblin at great speed.
Using the web's momentum, Su Ye executed a mid-air "Air Breaker Kick," slicing through the air above the bullet barrage and landing a spinning double kick onto the Green Goblin's helmet.
Bang! Crack!
The impact and cracking of the helmet echoed. The Green Goblin was kicked off his glider and fell onto a rooftop.
Luckily, he landed on a nearby rooftop, quickly rolling to stand up again.
But his newly repaired glider had fallen into Su Ye's hands.
"No!"
Seeing Su Ye reaching for the glider's power system, the Green Goblin shouted in panic.
The glider was crucial for his flight and his dominance over the police and agents. Without it, he'd be significantly weakened.
In a desperate move, the Green Goblin initiated the glider's self-destruct sequence.
Seeing this, Su Ye threw the glider out of the building.
"Hehe!"
The Green Goblin smirked and remotely canceled the self-destruct, intending to retrieve the glider.
However, the glider was still connected to a web, held tightly by Spider-Man.
The Green Goblin's smile froze. Su Ye yanked the web, tearing out a crucial component of the glider.
The damaged glider spiraled out of control, crashing and exploding against a building.
"Boom!"
A fiery explosion illuminated Spider-Man's silhouette, casting a long shadow over the Green Goblin.
"You bastard! You destroyed my greatest creation!"
The Green Goblin roared, throwing the last few pumpkin bombs at Su Ye.
But Su Ye twisted mid-air, skillfully evading the bomb blasts and closing in on the Green Goblin.
"Shadow Strike Fist!"
The Green Goblin couldn't even see what happened, only feeling a blur before Spider-Man's elbow struck his throat.
Even with his flight suit, the attack nearly left him breathless—and it was just the beginning.
"Gale Cross Fist!"
"Rising Dragon Blast!"
"Crashing Water Palm!"
"Air Breaker Kick!"
After a relentless and absurd combo, the Green Goblin's helmet shattered, his flight suit torn to shreds, and his spirit utterly broken. He collapsed on the ground, lifeless and defeated.
If Su Ye had learned how to channel energy, the combo would have been even more ferocious.
"Who… cough… Who are you?"
Without his helmet, Norman Osborn's face was exposed, but Su Ye wasn't surprised—he'd long known the Green Goblin's identity.
Even though Osborn was the father of his friend, Su Ye didn't care. As the Green Goblin, he was an unforgivable villain.
Killing people because of madness didn't exempt anyone from justice. While the law might reduce Osborn's sentence, Su Ye wasn't bound by the law.
Unlike Spider-Man, who spared even his enemies, Su Ye had no such qualms.
If he had to choose, Su Ye preferred being an anti-hero, delivering swift justice with no mercy.
In response to Osborn's question, Su Ye simply said:
"I am the one here to make you atone."
With that, Su Ye stepped forward and raised his foot.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
"Ahhh!"
A series of brutal kicks shattered all of Osborn's joints, leaving him crippled. He wouldn't even be able to move, let alone commit more crimes.
Having finished his task, Su Ye turned and swung away just as a helicopter approached.
Initially, he had planned to kill Osborn, ending the Green Goblin's threat once and for all.
But he hesitated, thinking of Gwen.
Killing someone in front of Gwen, an 18-year-old high school girl, might strain their relationship.
By crippling Osborn, he delivered justice without crossing a line Gwen might not forgive.
