ALL NOVEL Chapter 34: Mega Stone!?
Diancite, a Mega Evolution Stone. It allows the Pokemon Diancie to undergo mega evolution.
A very short and simple description, but it made Dante very stunned. He didn't expect that the treasure found by Drowzee was a Mega Stone for a legendary Pokemon!
Taking out the stone, Dante finally saw it clearly for the first time.
The stone was round and had a pink, translucent color, like the marble the kids play with. In the center of the stone, a helix structure composed of different shades of pink and yellow was located.
"What's that, Dante?"

Dante looked at Pikachu a bit oddly for his weird fixation on treasure chests. After he nodded for confirmation, Pikachu slumped his head in disappointment.
"Our first official treasure hunt…failed..."
"No. Pikachu, you've got it all wrong."
Hearing Dante's words, Pikachu's expression brightened and he looked up at him with a hopeful expression.
"From listening to Bidoof's advice, our battle with Drowzee to save the Azurill brothers, meeting Team Meanie, and getting introduced to the Magnezone forces."
While looking outside at the slowly setting sun, Dante continued.
"We entered this dungeon in order to seek for the so-called treasure that Drowzee may have hidden. But maybe we were wrong. Maybe we've already found the treasure."
"Y-you mean, the treasure was hidden on an earlier floor?"
"No. It was earlier than that. It was before we even entered this dungeon. Maybe…the real treasure was the friends we made along the way…"
After delivering the punchline, Dante smiled at Pikachu and waited for his reaction.
Possibly because Dante was in a good mood due to finding an incredibly precious Mega Stone, he had the urge to joke around with Pikachu.
However, Dante clearly forgot that Pikachu doesn't know that meme. When Pikachu heard his words, his eyes lit up and he was deeply moved.

And because Mega Stones are permanent and can be used as long as the conditions are met, it is considered as something that can be passed down in the family. Last time Dante checked at the Alliance website, the lowest price of Mega Stones were 500 million credits.
However, those were just relatively unpopular Mega Stones like for Mega Audino. Some Mega Stones can't be bought even if you have billions.
Although Dante doesn't know how much he can sell this 'unknown' Mega Stone to the Alliance for, at least it can't be cheaper than Audino's. Maybe even because they don't know which Pokemon it belongs to, the price could possibly be higher!
As for Dante keeping the Mega Stone to himself, he never had that idea from the beginning. He would rather use the resources obtained from selling the Mega Stone in order to strengthen his Pokemons early on.
Not to mention how long it would take for him to obtain Diancie, a Legendary Pokemon, or even if he would be able to at all.
If Dante can sell that stone, he would instantly be able to buy the Light Ball for Pikachu, the Space Bag, all the Battle Items he wants, as well as the move discs that Pikachu can use.
Dante just had to be more careful when selling the stone. Luckily, he will only sell this one item from the PMD world. In the worst case scenario, if he was confronted on where he found this stone, he can just lie and say he found it while practicing in the wild.
After Dante explained to Pikachu what this stone was and how much they could get if they sold it in the real world, his face lit up. After two days of staying in the real world, he also knew how much they could buy with 500 million.

Both Dante and Pikachu were surprised that Chatot let them go just like that. The two of them thought they would receive a lecture or something for getting back so late.
"What are you two still standing there for? Eat quickly and return to your room."
