Chapter 18: Abyssal Demon Lilith!
The Abyss is incredibly vast, comparable in size to the realm of the gods. It can be considered a part of the godly realm, yet it also possessed a degree of independence.
After a short time, Su Mo arrived at his destination, the territory of an Abyssal Demon of the same rank as a Demon God. The area under her control was significantly larger than that of the Spike Demon God. The Abyss she ruled over consisted of several levels, while the other Abysses were mainly used for resource production and cultivating cannon fodder.
Many of them had been taken from the Spike Demon God. Although the Spike Demon God was not weak, his power was restricted by this Abyssal Demon, which left him feeling deeply aggrieved.
The Demon Dynasty was a formidable power in the abyss and ravines, and they maintained a high level of vigilance. However, Su Mo’s aura was not restrained, and many watchful Abyss banshees quickly detected him upon his arrival.
“A Demon God has descended from the ravine!” The news soon reached the Demon Dynasty, but the vigilant Abyss demons were already too late to retreat.
Su Mo had arrived, and with a swift movement of his hand, he had subdued the demons, similar to phantoms but a different type of abyssal creatures. Once again, Su Mo had captured these creatures and added to his power.
The phantom was skilled in charm, while the Abyss demon was equally powerful in mental attacks.
However, one significant difference between the two was that the abyss banshee could swiftly transition between being corporeal and incorporeal.
Like a phantom, it was impossible for the Abyss demons to fly with insufficient strength, as the Abyss demon could fly from birth. Incidentally, the abilities of the Phantom act as a restraint against the abyss of nightmares.
Although this restraint was not too targeted, but in battles between opponents of similar strength, many abyss demons were reluctant to engage in combat with a Phantom. That’s why the Spike Demon God was tempted when he heard that Su Mo was willing to join forces with him.
After successfully capturing a group of abyss demons, Su Mo restrained them with his strength and unfolded his aura with full force. The Demon God’s aura swept over the abyss where the Demon Dynasty was located, announcing his arrival.
Without waiting too long this time, an extremely evil-looking abyssal demon appeared before them.
“Lilith, we meet again,” Su Mo said calmly as he looked at the demon’s evil aura and menacing figure. He noticed a large bubble beside Lilith.
As Lilith glanced over Su Mo and the demons he had bound, her eyes betrayed a sense of cruelty and wickedness.
“Phantom, are you looking to start a war?” She asked, with a harsh tone that hinted at her willingness to take action at any moment.
Su Mo responded calmly, “No, I simply want to talk with you heart-to-heart.”
“Talk?”
This word made Lilith’s eyes even colder cause she felt that Su Mo was taunting her. After all, she was a powerful and evil demon god. Her name Lilith, in the world of gods, had caused many in the realm of the gods to tremble with fear.
Lilith’s name frequently appeared in many of the Holy See’s records regarding Abyssal demons. And yet, a new Phantom Demon God was daring to provoke her!
The situation was about to get worse for Lilith. Su Mo’s wings shimmered, and he suddenly appeared a short distance away from her.
Lilith’s body surged with power, and she prepared to strike Su Mo with all her might.
Seeing that Lilith was about to attack, Su Mo’s face remained unchanged. Instead, he spread his hands and said calmly, “Don’t be nervous. As you can see, I have even lowered my aura.”
In a demon-level battle, actively lowering your aura would cause you to lose your first-hand advantage.
Lilith looked at Su Mo with an extremely dangerous look, but she didn’t say anything threatening. For a Demon God like her, words were unnecessary. Su Mo could understand her intentions by reading the changes in her breath.
As Su Mo continued to approach, Lilith grew more and more tense. If it were the Spike Demon God approaching instead of Su Mo, she would have already attacked him. The Spike Demon God’s expertise in strength made him a formidable opponent, and Lilith would not have let him get too close.
But despite the danger she felt, Su Mo’s calm and confident approach reassured her somewhat.
Regarding Su Mo, Lilith believed that no matter how far or near, he was essentially the same person in her view.
“Hey, Lilith, I’ve got some news for you. The Spike Demon God has tracked me down and wants to team up with me to take you on. What do you think? Shall I accept?” Su Mo said as he approached.
“Lilith, is he the one with the long spikes?” Lilith’s gaze intensified, but the danger wasn’t solely directed at Su Mo this time.
The Spike Demon God was indeed bullied to death by her. However, if the Spike Demon God were to join forces with Su Mo, even though Su Mo was a newly promoted Demon God, her chances of winning would be significantly decreased.
She wasn’t scared of the Spike Demon God alone, nor was she afraid of Su Mo alone. However, the thought of Su Mo joining hands with the Spike Demon God made her uneasy.
Su Mo finally approached her, admiring the notorious banshee known for her wickedness. Compared to the charm of a succubus, Lilith’s beauty was more “evil”. Both were dangerous yet alluring.
Su Mo openly expressed his admiration and said, “Lilith, to be honest, I have more faith in you. Spike seems to have some kind of plan, and I’m afraid he will tell me about it later. When I find out, I’ll let you know.”
Su Mo extended his hand towards Lilith. “Hey, do you have something on your shoulder?” He asked as his hand swiftly passed over her right shoulder. Lilith’s aura surged, and she was on the verge of attacking, but Su Mo’s hand never made contact with her, and he withdrew it just as quickly.
“I must have been mistaken… Anyway, I’ll be back in touch with you soon,” Su Mo said as he backed away hastily. He vanished into the Abyss, and the demons who were previously bound were also freed.
Lilith stood in a high place, looking at where Su Mo had disappeared. She still found Su Mo’s sudden appearance and behaviour perplexing. However, even as a seasoned demon like herself, she couldn’t pinpoint what was so weird.
