I Have Decided to Go Look for My Father

Chapter 259: Sheng Xiuyan’s look froze on his face. (3)

Once they had gotten all the random items out of the way, the three went back to talking about the competition.

[Lin]: The open competition is scheduled for 9 AM the morning on Saturday. We are not slotted in the very front but, once we get there on the day off, the demonstration would have started. We wouldn’t not have time to get ready. As such, we will still need to go and check out the venue in advance and test out the available equipment.

Having said that, Gu Yanlin really wanted to grumble on the fact that the three of them had formed a team for such a long time, to the point that their final product had already been completed but they had yet to met up with each other.

[Lin]: Let’s meet at the venue on Friday afternoon. We will be able to discuss some of the details in person as well.

Gu Xi had no problem with his suggestion, so she immediately responded with an [Ok.]

[AAA], on the other hand, suddenly went offline.

After a long while, he finally responded with: Works for me.

Sheng Xiuyan tossed away his cellphone, disturbed after he had finished texting that. He then reached for his phone again and checked to see where was the order that he had placed.

At this moment in time, there were noises coming front the front door and Sheng Yi was home, carrying a delivery box in her hand.

“Whose order is that? I brought it in with me.” Having said that, Sheng Yi glanced over at the name on top of the delivery box. “Did Dad buy random stuff from some video ads again?

“Tsk tsk. He’s not young anymore and he used Handsomest in the Universe as his alias?” Sheng Yi added.

Sheng Xiuyan’s look froze on his face when he heard that.

That was his package. He had no idea what was going through his mind at the time that, not wanting to expose himself, he even used an alias when he placed the order.

Sheng Xiuyan tried to stand up while appearing calm and walked over to Sheng Yi. “It’s Grandpa’s. Just hand it to me. I’ll give it to him.”

“Hang on. Let me see what it is first. If it’s more useless waste of money, I am just going to return it.”

Sheng Xiuyan frowned when he heard that but, before he could stop him, he heard a PSSST and Sheng Yi had already ripped the package open.

The very next second, Sheng Yi let out a loud and resentful scream, “What the heck is this?” As the item inside the delivery box flew away from her in a parabola trajectory.

A green headgear that could not have been uglier fell onto the floor with a loud FLOP……

The item bounced a couple of times when it hit the ground before it finally came to a stop. Sheng Yi finally took a step up to check it up when he confirmed that it was not alive.

“What the heck is it?” Sheng Yi grumbled and, staring at the item on the ground, plunged into “deep thought”.

It looked like some sort of a head gear but who in the right mind would put something green like this on their head? And it was so ugly to top!

“Had the old man gone insane?” said Sheng Yi as he looked at the item on the floor with disgust.

“Is it some sort of a practical joke or is it delivered to the wrong place?”

Before he could have it sorted out, his nephew had already dashed forward and put the green headgear away.

“No need to wonder. It’s Grandpa’s,” said Sheng Xiuyan very seriously.

If someone was to ignore the unnatural look on him, that is……

“I’ll bring it up to him.” Having said that, Sheng Xiuyan quickly turned and headed upstairs.

There was a hint of stiffness under his calm and collected state.

Sheng Yi had a curious look on him as he watched Sheng Xiuyan headed upstairs.

“Why is it that they are all so strange?” mumbled Sheng Yi as he frowned.

As though something had occurred to him, he stopped Sheng Xiuyan again, “Hey, kid.”

Sheng Xiuyan stopped and gave Sheng Yi an impatient look. “What is it now?”

“You have a competition this Saturday, right?”

“Yes, why do you ask?” asked Sheng Xiuyan with his face dropped.

“I care about you as your senior. What else could it be?” Sheng Yi raised his brows and smiled at Sheng Xiuyan. Blinking, he asked, “Well, how would you like it if your little uncle go and cheer you on as your friend and family?”

Sheng Xiuyan’s look froze on his face.

“That will not be necessary, thank you.” He would really have to be out of his mind to want Sheng Yi there.

After taking a few steps forward, Sheng Xiuyan turned around, gave Sheng Yi a cold look, and added, “Please don’t come.”

His warning look startled even Sheng Yi.
