I Have Decided to Go Look for My Father

Chapter 263: "Are you a transmigrator?" (4)

Seeing the same surprised look on the siblings, Sheng Xiuyan felt amused and suddenly felt much better.

He wonder if Gu Yanlin would look even more amusing when Gu Yanlin he found out that Gu Xi and him were on the same team.

Sheng Xiuyan was really looking forward to that moment.

Over on this side, Gu Yanlin nodded in response to Gu Xi’s question. He then looked over at Gu Xi and said in a gentle tone, “Xiao Xi is this good? You are in this competition?”

Gu Yanlin’s tone when he talked to Gu Xi was completely different than when he was talking to the others.

Having said that, Gu Yanlin couldn't help but wanted to rub Gu Xi on her head.

Gu Xi had, however, dodged his hand “resentfully”.

Gu Yanlin was not bothered by that. Smiling, he asked curiously, “What is your project?”

“Smart Companion.” Gu Xi was just about to elaborate on her design concept with Gu Yanlin when she looked up and saw the surprise look on Gu Yanlin.

Gu Yanlin, “! ! !” He had looked into the competition and his team was the only team that was working on Smart Companion.

“Are you certain?”

Gu Xi nodded. “Yeah, why?”

Gu Yanlin pulled out his cellphone, looked over at Sheng Xiuyan, then to Gu Xi. “You, you, you, you are X?”

Seeing that Gu Xi was nodding, Gu Yanlin’s expression was that of incredulous. He thought they had picked up a random teammate but, instead, they’ve picked up his own little sister? They had been chatting in the chatgroup this entire time and he was just now finding out that [X] was Gu Xi!

He was certain that Second Uncle knew about it all along but he didn’t tell him about it?

Thought Gu Yanlin to himself.

He had a strong feeling that Second Uncle purposefully kept that from him. Because he didn’t want him to distract Gu Xi from her studying?

Gu Xi, too, seemed to have figured something out as she watched Gu Yanlin’s reactions. She, too, had an incredulous look on her.

“Don’t tell me tha you are in the same groupchat as us,,” said Gu Xi gloomily as she stared at Gu Yanlin.

Gu Yanlin lifted his brows and smiled at Gu Xi. “Haha, such a fate!”

Except that he had always assumed that [X] was a male.

Gu Yanlin started self-reflecting. Had he been too stern or too nonchalant when he was talking to Gu Xi in the chatgroup.

Had he known that the person on the other end was his precious little sister, he would never have done that!

“So, you are [AAA]?” asked Gu Xi tentatively as she looked over at Sheng Xiuyan. She subconsciously refused to associate this naggy “Lin” in front of her with the high and mighty [Lin] from the chatgroup.

“Of course I am [Lin],” said Gu Yanlin.

He then looked over at Sheng Xiuyan, confirming that he, too, had no idea that [X] was Gu Xi when he picked her up.

Gu Yanlin said in a low voice, “Regardless, our whole team is here now.”

Gu Xi’s heart sank some more when she heard that. She had a bad feeling all of a sudden.

Looking over at Sheng Xiuyan, she said, “Then you……” Could he also be part of the group? There were just the three of them.

She had even contemplated the possibility that both [Lin] and [AAA] were Gu Yanlin logging in from different accounts.

Sheng Xiuyan, his face long, finally forced out a “I’m [A]” after a long way.

Right now, he dared not met Gu Xi’s incredulous look.

He couldn’t regret more why he used any of those crazy emojis back then!

Gu Xi, “……”

She had an inkling about it but, when she actually heard it from Sheng Xiuyan, Gu Xi still found that hard to accept.

Gu Xi looked from Sheng Xiuyan to her own Big Brother, still looking dubious.

“You sure you didn’t swap your aliases just to mess with me?”

Either way she looked at it, Gu Yanlin did not feel high and mighty and Sheng Xiuyan not a chatty person!

“Why would we do that?” Gu Yanlin knocked on Gu Xi’s head and went on to explain, “That’s my second account. I just don’t use it much is all.”

As for his character setting, he had always been high and mighty. He only acted differently in front of his own little sister.

The two were still on the topic of character setting when Sheng Xiuyan cleared his throat awkwardly, stood up, and said seriously, “Let’s go. The event is about to begin. We should go get ready.”

Gu Xi looked at the time and nodded in agreement. She was still looking curiously at Sheng Xiuyan.

Gu Xi, “Sheng Xiuyan.”

Sheng Xiuyan, “Wh-what?”

Gu Xi, “You are not a transmigrator, are you?”

Sheng Xiuyan, “……”
