I Have Decided to Go Look for My Father

Chapter 269: This pixelation technique looked somewhat familiar. (3)

Over on the Lin family side.

Lin Yize and Song Kexin were standing across from each other. Neither one of them looked happy. They were obviously in the middle of a fight.

“Why did you do that? Have you gone insane? Do you know how much trouble that could cost me?” Lin Yize shouted at Song Kexin. His eyes cold, stern, and filled with anger.

Standing across from him, Song Kexin was pale and also filled with disgruntlement.

She was the one who arranged the attack on Meng Zixin and she had utilized some of Lin Yize’s less-than-legitimate connections for that.

That being said, her intention wasn’t to attack Meng Zixin but just to get her to leave.

Meng Zixin was no longer a Chinese citizen and was only here on a temporary work VISA. She could very likely be deported with any kind of troubles.

“I’ve already told you! I just wanted her to leave!” said Song Kexin. All she wanted to do was to get that woman to leave. If there were any other accidents in the process, that had nothing to do with her.

Having said that, she gave Lin Yize a very resentful look and said, “Besides, what have you told me? You told me that there was nothing going on between you and her but what really was the truth? You’ve liked to me. I would not have been forced to take this desperate measure if you weren’t still seeing her!”

Song Kexin was so angry that she was shaking when she thought about how Lin Yize had deceived her. He had told her that he had nothing to do with that woman when, in reality, he had been approaching the woman purposefully, giving her gifts, and even asking her out to dinner!

“How many times do I have to say this? I am only doing that for the Lin’s businesses in the Southeast,” said Lin Yize impatiently with a long face.

“This is all for our family’s business. Have you not seen the sacrifices that I made for you and for this family over the years?”

Song Kexin laughed when she heard that. “What about the sacrifices that I have made? I had done so much for you and all I got is your betrayal?”

This was the first time that Lin Yize was incredibly annoyed at Song Kexin’s unreasonableness. He turned and wanted to leave.

Song Kexin panicked when she saw that. She couldn't help but called out, “Lin Yize, don’t you forget who took the blame for you when that person died. You owe……”

Lin Yize put his hands around Song Kexin’s neck before she could finish what she was saying.

“Do not let me hear you bringing that up again. Otherwise, you should know what I am capable of. And I am not just talking about Song Shishan; I am also talking about you……”

Lin Yize did not elaborate further but his look was cold and scary.

Having said that, Lin Yize slammed the door and left, leaving Song Kexin behind by herself.

Song Kexin, collapsed on the floor, trembled.

Lin Yize headed over to the Lin Corporation after taking off from the Lin’s residence.

He dialed Gu Yaobai once he arrived at the office.

“Have you figured out what to do with our shipment of merchandise yet?” asked Lin Yize in a deep voice.

Gu Yaobai laughed and said with disgruntlement in his voice, “It is your job to figure that out. Why are you asking me how to resolve the issue?!”

A major portion of the illegal shipment that was confiscated by Country O belonged to Gu Yaobai. He hadn’t even asked Lin Yize about that yet but Lin Yize was now asking him about them?

“Would I be asking you if I have any other options?” Lin Yize sighed.

He had wanted to approach the subject from Meng Zixin’s angle but, tried as he might, he wasn’t able to get Meng Zixin to budge. That and Gu Shao’s men was keeping too close of a watch on it.

“What do you think I can do?” asked Gu Yaobai coldly.

With the earlier rumor, many of his own projects had gone south. He had enough on his plate to worry about. He was hoping that he could count on his businesses in the southeast, but that, too, had run into issues.

“On the Gu family’s side...... I seemed to remember Boss Gu had mentioned in the past that you have some dirt on them.” Lin Yize reminded him. If they could take care of the Gu family or at least cause them some trouble to have Gu Shao occupied, what’s remaining would be easy to take care of.

Gu Yaobai’s eyes dimmed when he heard that.

He did have some dirt on Old Mr. Gu except that he had handed them over to his father and hadn’t heard about it since.

Finally, Gu Yaobai told Lin Yize that “the time wasn’t right” when, in reality, he was already plotting about taking care of the Gu family.
