The series began with the desire to participate in the competition held at Nobel Pia with this work.

219 Days. Serialization for 7 months and 6 days.

Well, excluding the hiatus period, it was serialized for about 5 months.

It was both fun and difficult.

To be honest, I thought a lot about quitting.

But as a writer, if I put this piece here, I thought that I would never be able to put an end to any writing in my life.

That’s why I’ve been serializing every day, enduring with evil.

Thanks to this, I was able to never take a break except for a two-month break right after the contest ended, a two-month break after the first part, and a one-day break for my father’s birthday.

I was often late, but I’m really proud of myself for not taking a day off suddenly.

And it is clear that I was able to come this far thanks to the readers who loved this work until the end.

I was an aspiring student who tried many contests and went to the final screening, but never won.

At this time last year, I couldn’t have imagined that such an aspiring writer would complete a web novel like this and record close to 260,000 views as of the time I wrote this review.

It’s a really complicated feeling.

There are too many personal stories of the writer.

Now let’s get into the story of the work lightly.

In fact, ‘I possessed as a childhood friend of a villain’ was originally an ignorant pure love story with no content.

Before Raina got engaged to Leon, the main character possesses Ike, and it’s a true ignorant pure love story that only shows Reina and her flirting with each other.

Sofia, Leon, Helen, and Atal will handle that setup anyway.

It was a pure love story full of sugar with that mindset.

To put it simply, it was a work full of only the contents of the side story.

But during planning, I changed my mind.

As I said in the author’s words in the latter half of part 1, I am an aspiring writer who originally wanted to enter the published novel market.

And the basic characteristics of published novels, especially those with fantasy backgrounds, are usually quite sweet. At least the fantasy novels I read did.

The same goes for the Harry Potter series, the Percy Jackson series, and the Darren Sham series.

I was strongly influenced by that, and I turned the plan around.

That sentence I wrote in the first line of my review.

A lesson without suffering is meaningless. Humans cannot gain anything without some sacrifice.

I remembered this sentence.

‘Isn’t a novel in which the main character rolls and rolls to win love more fun and moving than an ignorant pure love story?’

It makes me think.

What was completed like that is ‘I possessed the childhood friend of the villain’, which is filled with sweet potatoes from the beginning to the second half.

… First of all, I have never regretted this choice.

It’s real.

In other words, while this work has a romance fantasy as its background, what really influenced it is the fearsome masterpieces of shonen manga and fantasy works… !

So I removed the romance tag from the beginning.

Anyway, I am grateful to all the readers who read until the end even though they suffered from sweet potatoes.

And in fact, ‘I possessed as a childhood friend of a villain.’ It was roughly twice this amount when the plan was first changed.

Over 1.3 Million characters in 11 volumes.

I thought I almost published this work until October.

I don’t know if I’ll be alive in that world line.

Let’s go back to the main topic, the reason why 11 volumes became 5 volumes is simple.

I cut out all the side stories.

Looking at the plan again, this is an unnecessary story, a frustrating part, and the part that made me feel like this was cut out as much as possible.

Have you cut out all of that yet still have sweet potatoes like this? Some readers may think so.

But it is true.

To give you a spoiler that is not a spoiler, originally this work was supposed to break up Reina and Leon only at the end.

I pulled that to the end of Part 1.

Originally, Ike was destined to roll around throughout volume 11, only to be able to confess to Reina at the end.

Well, that caused a lot of problems.

The reason I cut these stories was when I started serializing and had about 20 episodes.

The Arcana admissions episode, which had the most readers and was called the worst sweet potato.

It was only then that I was able to clearly realize the difference between a web novel and a published novel.

Actually, it would have been a problem that could have been solved if I had only worked on it for 3 consecutive years, but my writing speed was not that fast, so that was impossible.

So we had to change all of the plans that followed.

The episode of Anna, which had to be built up much more slowly, was pulled forward.

As a result, there were many evaluations that Anna’s atonement scene and emotions were difficult to understand.

I couldn’t help but agree.

I’m not saying this is your fault!

In the first place, I actually read all the comments from readers, but I’m not the type to say that I reflect the opinions of readers.

So, until the end, the work must have been full of sweet potatoes.

… Sorry.

The most important thing to me is whether this work is interesting to me. This is the most important.

When I upload a work, I have a habit of re-reading the related episode from the beginning, but when I saw it, the Arcana episode was too frustrating, so I changed it.

I never want to blame the readers, so please know!

Because I like the ending better in the first place!

Of course, the work is never perfect, and there are many regrettable parts.

Leon and Sophia’s love line.

The story of Charlotte.

The love line between Michelle and Andrew.

The story of when Helen and Arvain were training.

Atal’s agony as a candidate for pope, etc.

Several episodes about Avatar, and more.

Because I left out all those side stories.

For example, the fight against Rex in the final showdown was supposed to be much longer.

I was going to portray more of Rex’s strength, and I wanted to further portray Reina’s genius, which was the driving force behind being able to hold out with 4 people against Rex.

In the original story, I wanted to show clearly how Rex, who needed 10 high-ranking knights in Leon, Sophia, Helen, and Atal to defeat, was able to be stopped because of a genius named Reina.

But I thought that if I put all these things in, the story would be much heavier, and it would be difficult for me to handle it all.

So, except for the story of Ike and Raina, almost all of them were discarded.

In addition, the more I went to the ending of the work, the more parts that felt like a sudden development.

Actually, that part was intended to some extent.

Until the end, Ike couldn’t rise to the top position in the work.

It was Leon’s help when I defeated Rex, and it was thanks to his weakening body when he took down Dyt.

If it wasn’t for those things, ‘I possessed the villain’s childhood friend’ would have definitely been a bad ending.

In addition, in the side story, it was even said that he was the weakest knight leader in the history of the Central Knights.

When you see this part, I think readers may feel reluctant.

But even so, Ike defeated Rex, who is said to be the strongest, and defeated Dyt.

I couldn’t even reach the strongest, but it was Ike’s efforts that defeated the strongest.

It was only possible because Ike’s efforts saved Reina.

He wasn’t the strongest, but people around him said he was the best knight.

I wanted to show the ending that was possible because Ike was weak, cowardly and tearful.

Well, anyway, I like the ending better now!

So there are no plans to do a remake!

Because it’s my first work, I’m immature, and I think it’s more beautiful because I’m inexperienced!

I wanted to tell you that story!

And a side story.

It was beyond my ability.

From the beginning, the ending was decided by the choice of the real ‘Ike Access’, and since I used that, I thought that continuing ‘I possessed as a childhood friend of a villain’ was not good for me.

Lastly, I would like to briefly talk about the sequel.

I have a dream to make a living as a writer.

So there are many stories I want to write.

For example, a story about a man who was betrayed by a human being able to laugh when he meets a snailfish.

For example, the story of a girl who sees the red thread of fate meets the boy of her own destiny.

For example, the story of the eldest son of a duke who returned to the past after being executed to save the world.

For example, the story of a guardian protecting the world and a weak homunculus.

For example, the story of a warrior who went on a journey with the demon king.

There are so many things I want to write.

Especially, the story of Ureonggaksi is the story I have the most attachment to, so I definitely want to write it again.

However, it is too much to write the above stories right away.

All of those stories were planned when I didn’t know the reality of web novels, so they are more sweet than ‘I possessed as a childhood friend of a villain’.

I think it will be quite a distant future when these works will be published serially.

So what is the sequel….

I am going to write a work about the hobby that I started serializing.

My hobby is being a virtual YouTuber.

A writer who started watching Key X and Ai from the early days, but had no interest in other virtual YouTubers.

However, I arrived there while looking for a way to relieve the stress caused by serialization.

I even read a famous work on the theme of a virtual YouTuber on one of the Japanese web novel serial sites, and it was so much fun.

To the extent that I want to write a work like this.

Originally, when I write a work, I start with everything from the plan to the finish, but this time I didn’t decide anything other than simple things, and I can write it without too much trouble.
