Chapter 69
69. (Reupload) Distrust
[Episode 69] – Distrust
“What are you planning to do by sending Princess Titania into the Mist?”
Fiona again, she felt herself becoming emotional.
No matter how hard I tried to think rationally and coldly, I melted endlessly in front of that woman’s face. The anxiety, nervousness, and hatred that seemed to boil within him became heat and melted his reason.
But it can’t be helped.
Sending the princess to that mist now was no different than saying that Vivian would introduce her ‘fairy’ to Titania. Fiona looked at Vivian, frowning, and vowed:
I have to block that much.
From Fiona’s point of view, no matter how hard she tried to see clearly, Vivian’s purpose was only ‘this’. She introduces her fairy to the princess, and intends to make her a ‘witch’ just like herself.
Really, I wanted to stop that.
Because being a ‘witch’ is never a good thing.

“What are you thinking of sending Princess Titania into her Mist?”
Princess Fiona’s worried question left me speechless for a moment. It is unknown on what basis Princess Fiona came to such a conclusion, but right now her first priority was to resolve misunderstandings, not misunderstandings.
“I don’t know what you mean. Why do you think I’m sending the princess into that mist? You must know what kind of fog it is because you have heard it too.”
“…Yes, I know. I’m asking you know. What are you thinking about putting the princess in that fog? Why do you think so? That’s right, if it’s you, you’ll be able to do something like that.”
“…Princess Fiona. Didn’t you learn anything from being slapped by me the other day?”
From noble mtl dot com
As I gently raise my hand as if threatening, do you think I’m going to slap you again? Princess Fiona’s shoulders trembled. Like a child afraid of being scolded. Seeing that, I lowered my hand again and let out a deep sigh.
“…I will never do anything you think about, so go back to the tent. It’s a thought that comes to mind every time this happens, but it’s unpleasant that you seem to be looking at me as a person with no common sense. I feel bad for acting as if I was certain that I was abusing Titania.”
Maybe I’m tired of Princess Fiona’s attitude that keeps treating me like a bad person. Without realizing it, I answered sharply. However, if he didn’t say it stubbornly, Princess Fiona wouldn’t understand.
I let out another deep sigh and looked up at Princess Fiona. Can I ask you a question now? What the hell happened with Vivian in the past.
I asked Ainsel about Princess Fiona, but Ainsel said he didn’t know about the relationship between the two. Ainsel also did not know all of Vivian’s life.
The reason I hadn’t asked until now was because I was afraid that Princess Fiona would get hurt if I said, ‘I don’t remember what happened to you’ through my mouth, Vivian’s.
Princess Fiona was a person who would tremble at Vivian’s face just by looking at her. But here, as Vivian, I said, ‘What did I do to you? I don’t remember?’, What would Princess Fiona think?
‘You did that to me and I don’t remember?! Do you remember?!”
I glanced at Titania, who was beside me, at a loss for what to do, and tapped my knee as if to tell her to come here. Then Titania, who was looking at me and Princess Fiona’s eyes alternately, hesitantly settled down on my lap.
“Ha.”
Princess Fiona’s face is distorted again. Seeing that expression, I also sighed naturally, and after sighing a little, I patted Titania on the back and asked: In this case, the opinion of the person concerned is the best.
“Titania, it seems that Princess Fiona thinks I am abusing you. Won’t you tell Princess Fiona for me? How are you usually doing with me?”
“Uh, that, so…”
Titania lifted her head and looked into Princess Fiona’s face. Titania immediately averted her gaze from her terrifyingly distorted face, and, hesitating, she answered in a low voice.
“You two fight, don’t fight… Uh, Mom, aren’t you a bad person…? Yeah, she said she used to be bad… Now she’s not really a bad person… She’s really nice to me… That, and…”
Titania looked like a frightened baby squirrel when she saw Princess Fiona’s distorted expression. Eventually Titania, muttering in her crawling voice, had no choice but to bow her head and shut her mouth.
Well… Even to me, Princess Fiona’s face was terrifying.
It was understandable that Titania was frightened of her.
“…Anyway, as Titania said, I have never abused a child or anything like that. Rather, I am working hard as a parent of this child. There really isn’t anything you’re thinking.”
“…Really?”
“I don’t understand why you think I put Titania in that mist in the first place. As you know, that fog is said to be impossible to get out of once you enter it.”
As she continued, she felt a bit stuffy inside.
In a situation where there was not much time even if it wasn’t so, Princess Fiona’s constant quibbles made her annoyed. I questioned Princess Fiona in a rather sharp voice.
“Do you mean to say that I ‘ditched my daughter in the fog’? I, none other than I, abandoned my daughter, Titania?”
“My daughter…?”
Princess Fiona laughed at my answer as if it were absurd.
Seeing her losing her temper again, I looked at Princess Fiona, frowning at her. Whether it was envy for Titania or hatred for me, it was a reaction I couldn’t quite figure out.
Princess Fiona, muttering something of her own, distorted her face and at the same time she looked at me with a look as if she was about to cry. It looked so sad, it looked so miserable, I was more speechless and couldn’t say anything.
“Dang, God… Did you say that?”
In the end, a single tear quietly flowed down Princess Fiona’s cheek.
It looked as if the emotions about to burst had leaked out. Princess Fiona covered her face with her hands to hide her strangely distorted face, and barely spoke to me with her quivering lips.
“Anyone who used to say me, a worm, a maggot, a worm, would say that in front of me?”
The dripping words gradually became disorganized. As she continued to speak, sobs escaped from her mouth. Princess Fiona’s body began to tremble like an aspen tree, and eventually collapsed and sat down.
The moment I approached Princess Fiona, wondering what the hell this situation was-
The brown hair, which had been like blonde under the sunlight, gradually became duller from the ends, and before I knew it, it started to change to black hair like the night sky. Her hair, which had been long to her shoulders, grew quickly and fell down to her back.
The black eyes filled with tears also began to flutter, and soon they gradually began to turn red like pomegranates. Skin as white as snow, hair like ebony. And, eyes as red as drops of blood.
She looked so much like someone else in her that I couldn’t help but stare at her with a smile on her lips. In a situation where everything was questionable, this was certain.
That she is not ‘Princess Fiona’.
Not Princess Fiona, but rather-
I stared at Titania, who looked surprised as she held me in my arms.
The same black hair and the same red eyes.
“T-Tania…?”
Let me sing her ‘her she’ with quivering lips. A woman who looked exactly like Titania in my arms glared at me with tearful eyes. With a gaze that seemed to run at me and kill me at any moment.
*
I didn’t want to believe it.
I didn’t want to believe it.
The fact that that woman is different from the woman I know.
I just didn’t want to believe it, so I just didn’t face reality.
I didn’t want to know.
I didn’t want to know.
Because if I admitted that she was different from the woman I knew, something inside me would collapse. Her hatred for her was all she had in her life ‘this time’. She shouldn’t change, but I could feel that I was still alive.
However, for some reason, ‘Vivian’ here was different. Instead of insulting ‘me’ here, they praised me, and instead of hitting ‘me’, they gave me a hug. Every time I see it, there is only one word that comes to my mind.
‘Why only me?’
If you were such a loveable person, why were you so mean to me? You insulted me instead of praising me, slapped me instead of petting me.
‘Why only me?’
Did I have a problem? Did i do something wrong? Isn’t it my fault that you insulted and persecuted me? Then, what the hell is the difference between that kid and me?
I had no choice but to give up because of the question that was biting my tail. It was already in the past, and the ‘Vivian’ I knew was already dead. It’s also futile and futile. Maybe that’s why it seemed more like that.
Every time I see that woman, my stomach boils and I get angry.
A woman who looks just like ‘that woman’ who died before even resolving the hatred accumulated inside me. However, what she does is a woman who is completely different. It was hard for me to handle the disgust that came from the gap.
So when I stood in front of that woman, my emotions took over.
Memories of the past run rampant, and unresolved lumps boil.
Even the magic she used to dress up as ‘Princess Fiona’ has now been overcome by emotion. I didn’t mean to do this originally. I didn’t mean this. I just came here to keep the princess from entering the fog.
Everything I had planned was ruined if I stood in front of that woman.
I wiped away my tears and looked up to see Vivian and Titania standing in front of me. Titania widened her eyes as if she hadn’t grasped the situation yet, and the mirror fairy also giggled. Vivian, like the mirror fairy, only smiled. It’s stupid.
As I sniffled and wiped away my tears, I heard small footsteps running towards me in the woods. A small ‘dwarf’ approached me from afar, perhaps noticing that my magic had been lifted.
-Master~~!!
A brownie with fluttering brown hair and green eyes was running towards me before I knew it. Then he opened his arms wide to protect me and growled at Vivian.
-Don’t bully the owner!! Naughty Baba Yaga!
