I Reincarnated as a Shinai

Stella and the three others weren't officially part of the army. 

Though they could participate in the battle, it isn't the right time yet.

The soldiers and knights have battle formations and it's not something they can follow. They could only watch from afar as the Knights fought with practiced movement.

"Where's Diether and the Knight Champion?" Yasmin asked as she squinted her eyes. She had just recently learned from Stella and Lyrei how to use her Spiritual Energy on her eyes to boost her sight.

Unfortunately, she didn't have a proper education so her control with her Spiritual Energy is extremely limited. She only knows to strengthen her weapons and activate her Arcana before…

Luckily, Lyrei and Stella were good friends as they taught her some complex Spiritual Energy uses.

"There… They're using a magical cloak. I almost missed them… If I hadn't been watching them from the start, I might've missed their group." Aria muttered as she pointed in the direction at the eastern side of the Fortress.

Since she already knows the direction, Yasmin managed to find Diether and his group after a while.

"I see them now… I guess they're waiting until the Dark Elves sent most of their warriors?"

"Yes… It seems that the Knight Champion is capable of sensing the leader of the Dark Elf. He keeps looking in a certain direction."

"Hmm… Sun Fire Knights are sensitive to the aura of life. The Champion might be capable of sensing the Dark Elf's powerful life aura." Aria guessed as she learned all of this from Diether. 

The Knights Order was capable of controlling this Fire Essence that they needed to in order to activate their Hazy Flash Step. 

However, the origin of this fire essence is actually the aura of the Knights which is related to Life Energy!

Aria wasn't sure of the exact details but because of the hints she got from Diether, she can piece them together.

"They're charging!" Stella said and sure enough, the cloaked Knights bolted at the wall of the fortress as they made quick use of their Hazy Flash Step and appeared above the walls!

However, as if they are expected to arrive there, more than a dozen of Treants appeared to welcome them!

A battle immediately ensued creating noise and explosions everywhere.

But because of the natural trait of the Sun Fire Knights, the Evil Beasts were incapable of putting a challenge on them! They didn't last long before they turned to ashes!

The heavy cavalry knights are truly impressive!

Besides, it wasn't even night yet and the power of the Solar Swords was at its peak with the sun glaring at them from the sky!

The power of the Sun Fire Knights was indeed too much against Evil Beasts at daytime… They are even more capable than the Hunters at this point!

"Incredible! If we fought against them during the Eastern Territory's War, the Grand Duke's forces might've been defeated before the reinforcements came…"

Lyrei muttered softly seeing the mighty force of the Sun Fire Knights. She's referring to the previous war between the kingdom and the dukedom.

During that time, the Dukedom's Vanguard only fought against a few soldiers and small units of Chaos Knights. This allowed them to easily gain a foothold within Greiner's County and the surrounding plains.

For sure, if they fought against these knights, they wouldn't have easily won at that time.

Stella just nodded at these remarks since she already knows that the Dukedom couldn't really win against the Kingdom if they fought fair and square on the battlefield.

The Dukedom relies too much on the power of their Beast Tamers and Beast Arts instead of creating a disciplined force like the Knights of the Kingdom.

She shifted her gaze and noticed the path left behind by the Knight Champion…

"Alright… Let's move!"

Stella said as they already planned to follow the Knight Champion. They all have their own agenda for doing this.

Aria wanted to ensure Diether's safety.

Stella wanted to see Reiji.

Lyrei wanted to see the Knight Champion Fight.

Lastly, Yasmin does not want to be left behind.

In the end, they all moved according to their plan and followed the path they've used.

Of course, the Knight Champion might be able to notice their movement so they already informed Diether about this so they would no longer have to explain themselves and be treated as enemies. 

Bang! Clang!

The battle inside the fortress was also fierce. All the Knights who have joined in this mission are powerful and the Dark Elves that were left here had similar strength.

Nevertheless, because of the Knight Champion's presence, the fight only lasted for a moment.

The four ladies saw it clearly, Sayel used two of his fingers to form an invisible sword to cut off the 20 or so Dark Elves who blocked their path!

"What was that?!"

"This strength… It doesn't seem to be Arcane Magic though."

Aria and Lyrei gaped after seeing Sayel's performance. 

Stella was similarly surprised but she clearly understood what had just happened…

"Sword Intent…" 

She muttered. 

She had similarly formed her Sword Intent but it is obviously not to this degree that could kill strong Dark Elves with a wave of her hand!

That's wishful thinking!

At most, her Sword Intent could increase the power of her sword and even affect the heart of her enemy like formless intimidation.

"Incredible… I wonder how long did he train to achieve this level." Stella bitterly smiled at this thought.

She doesn't possess an incredible talent with the sword and only achieved her current level through her hard work and participation in many battles that endangered her life. Advancing her swordsmanship is extremely difficult now that she no longer has a teacher that will guide her.

Sigh~

Stella could only admire on the side as she continued watching the battle.

Soon, they heard someone walking out of the main building of the fortress.

The knights and the four hiding ladies immediately felt suffocated by the aura of the incoming enemy…

A red-haired Dark Elf, who seemed like a scholar wearing a gray robe, appeared in front of everyone. In his hands was something extremely familiar with Diether and Stella.
