I Reincarnated into High School DxD as a Random Guy

But how should I talk to her? We are strangers and honestly I have very limited experience with talking to girls but then again this is a normal conservation right? So I’ll just talk to her normally the same way I would talk to a random stranger guy.

 

I asked awkwardly, “ A-Are you a tourist?”.

 

She replied, “No, that’s not it. I was appointed to the Church in this town…… You must be a resident of this town. It’s a pleasure to meet you” and bowed her head.

 

Well that’s expected, she would be recruited this town’s church which is the base of the fallen angels as in canon. So that part’s the same, well that’s a relief that things are going according to canon, so my future predictions would be a success.

 

Also my conversation with her was a success too, I nailed it heh.

 

She then continued, “I have been in trouble since I got here. Ummm……I can’t speak Japanese that well……I was lost and other people couldn’t understand what I was saying……”

 

So she can’t speak Japanese, well that’s expected as she is from a foreign country.

 

Ah that reminds me, the reason why she can speak with me is because this is the power of a Devil. That’s what Buchou told me before.

 

Well this was her full description, “When you turn into a Devil, one of the unique ability you attain is “Language”. The moment you turn into a Devil, everyone in the world can understand what you are saying. People listening to you will hear it in the language they are most familiar with. If they are American, then they will hear it in English. If they are Spanish, then they will hear it in Spanish. And also the opposite. If they speak in a language besides Japanese, you will hear it in Japanese.”

 

This was one of things I learned after becoming a devil here, when seeing the anime this thing wasn’t shown so I always wondered how everyone can speak Japanese so fluently, so this was it.

 

It’s truly a wonderful ability to be honest, it reduces the language barrier between people and more importantly, I can understand if someone tries to curse me in a different language so I can give a befitting reply.

 

Anyway let’s stop thinking about useless things.

 

I replied to her, “I think I might know where the Church is”.

 

I mean there is only one church near here, which is an old church in the outer part of the town.

 

An abandoned church, a perfect place for fallen angles to make their base.

 

She replied with a smile and tears flowing from her eyes, “Y-You do! T-Thank you~! This is all thanks to God!”

 

She’s really cute, she looks much cuter in person that when I saw the anime.

 

Then my eyes suddenly went to the Rosario glowing on her chest, well I guess it was a natural hormonal reaction, well what can I do?

 

Anyway when my eyes fell on that I got an extremely negative reaction, well I guess that’s to be expected.

 

But this the first time I felt a reaction from devil’s instinct and it is really overwhelming.

 

I steeled my resolve so as to make sure I can escort her to the church without any problems.

 

So I showed her the way to the church.

 

On the way as we went past a part, we heard the cry of a little boy, ““Uwaaaaaah!”.

 

It seems that the boy tripped over.

Suddenly Asia walked towards the park. I quickly followed her.

 

She said , “hey” and went towards the boy.

 

She patted the boy’s head gently and said, “Are you okay? Boys shouldn’t cry with a minor injury like this”.

 

The boy probably didn't understand what she is saying, as he looked confused.

 

She then put her palm towards the boy’s injury and a green light glowed and the boy’s injury was gone.

 

Twilight Healing, this was the first time me seeing it’s effects in person. I felt it too, probably because of my sacred gear reacting to it I guess.

 

She’s a very kind person as expected, she risks revealing her power to heal someone.

 

She then told him, “Here, your wounds are healed. The pain should be gone now”.

 

She then patted his head and looked at me and said, “I’m sorry. But I had to” and then smiled and put her tongue out. How cute.

 

I could only smile in response.

 

The boy then said, “Thank you, Onee-chan!”, in a voice with gratitude before running off.

 

I translated it for her to which she smiled.

 

I then asked cautiously because I knew her sad past but had to ask something otherwise I would seem suspicious, “……That power……”.

 

She replied, “Yes, it’s the power to heal. It’s a wonderful power that God gave me”, with  smile even thought it looked sad.

 

Knowing her past I knew the reason for her sadness but decided to keep it to myself, there’s no way to gain her trust this early.

 

But I promised myself internally that I will rescue her from this predicament and I won’t let her die like in the original.

 

After that if she decides to become a devil that’s ok, but even if she doesn’t want to become one, I respect her decision.

 

It might reduce our team’s power but I prefer that people make their own choices instead of being forced into it.

 

The conversation ended there, and we continued walking towards the Church.
