Chapter 434: 434 The End of Bleach: Universe-Ender Box, Finished Seireitei, Hugs and Tears of Consolation and a Mystery Deal with Kurostsuchi Mayuri.
(Seireitei)
There's nothing more out of place in this city, modeled after ancient Japan than a man in futuristic armor.
Tony Stark, the alcoholic billionaire who went from selling weapons to becoming a superhero, sat next to Rick Sanchez, the smartest man or entity of his multiverse… it's complicated to explain. Rick had isolated part of the multiverse where he was the smartest just so he could make the claim. However, it's possible that Rick's multiverse isn't even the one to which Allen's world belongs.
It's complicated.
Currently, the two men were seated at a table inside someone's house; one they had entered without permission. You can't really blame the Shinigami for calling them invaders.
Tony removed his helmet, which dissolved and reintegrated with the rest of his armor.
Rick squinted as he grabbed a skewer from a plate brought in by one of his drones, which he had also stolen from the house's kitchen.
"Nanotechnology? Congratulations, you're the one-millionth person to achieve it!" Rick said with sarcastic disdain while chewing on a skewer. "I guess it's impressive, given the limitations of your era. That is unless we count that one village in Africa monopolizing technology."
"Are you talking about Wakanda?" Tony asked, unfazed by Rick's tone.
After enduring Rick's constant mockery, Tony realized Rick was like a force of nature; he could love or hate you for any reason, and it was beyond your control. It was better not to take it personally and simply roll with it. This mindset had made him immune to Rick's jabs.
"Wakanda, yeah, sure… if you wanna waste your time on something like that, go ahead!"
"What's wrong with the Bleeding Edge armor?" Tony frowned. Even if he wasn't as bothered by Rick's comments anymore, it still annoyed him when Rick mocked his creations.
"Nothing, except you already have your Prime Armor. Just make it replicate the Bleeding Edge's features, and bam! You can be a LEGO Iron Man and turn into Hulkbuster at will."
Tony shook his head. "The Prime Armor is in autopilot mode so Jarvis can control it while I'm not around."
Rick slammed the table, spitting out his food. "That's the goddamn problem! You leave your best armor at home for Vision to use while you walk around here like nobody's gonna slice you in half at any moment!"
"Vision? Don't you mean Jarvis? And that's not gonna happen. I've analyzed the spirits' speeds; nothing the automated reaction system can't handle," Tony replied, crossing his arms.
"Tsk, you only think that because you've only seen mid-level Shinigami. Captain-level speed is a whole other ballgame. You know what? Do whatever you want! You're gonna get resurrected as Doom in the future anyway… shit!"
"What?" Tony looked at Rick like he'd lost his mind, which seemed increasingly plausible.
Rick felt frustrated. He hated spoilers, especially when he was the one making them. He hated himself for doing it twice in one sitting, but since he already hated himself anyway, he quickly forgave himself and kept talking.
"Whatever. Just don't blame me if you end up—" Rick paused as a device vibrated, showing a red dot approaching. "Ah, finally *burp*"
Rick poured some sake for their incoming guest.
...
Allen landed, creating a small gust of air. Tony stood up, startled. He hadn't realized he'd been wandering the Seireitei without fighting or doing much of anything.
"Oh, come on, have a drink with us!" Rick shouted exuberantly at Allen, in stark contrast to Tony's nervousness.
"..." Allen observed the two men in silence with Yoruichi sitting on his shoulder.
"Wait! Don't hit me!" Tony raised his palms defensively. Seeing that Allen didn't immediately attack, he added, "In my defense, I didn't find anyone who wanted to fight."
*Burp*
"Of course, you didn't try too hard to find opponents either, haha!"
"Shut up, Rick! I don't want to hear that from you!"
Allen placed a hand on Tony's shoulder and pointed at Rick. "Don't worry, you've done enough."
Just keeping Rick under control and watched was an achievement in itself. Tony sighed in relief. They had indeed encountered several Shinigami, but Rick had either frozen them or scared them off. Also, being a superhero, Tony preferred fighting villains rather than Shinigami, who technically had no idea what was happening.
"Thanks, Tony…"
"Huh? Haha, no problem. You know me; if you need my help fighting villains, rescuing a princess, or getting drunk at some crazy party that ends in a bear fight, count me in!"
Allen chuckled and opened a portal to the Marvel universe. However, before Tony stepped through, Allen removed two trackers stuck to him.
"Tsk!" Rick, who had been in a good mood while sipping sake, clicked his tongue. "You have no idea how hurtful it is that you don't want me in your world! Come on, man, we'd just party a little—you'd love it!"
"..."
Allen snorted and made a pile of gadgets appear on the table, all belonging to Rick and capable of ending the world under the right circumstances.
"What? They're just simple trinkets!"
"..." Allen picked up what looked like a laser pistol.
[Molecular Plasma Cannon:
Description: A powerful weapon capable of disintegrating planets by striking their cores.
Functionality: Uses a dark energy reactor to fire supercharged plasma bursts that alter molecular structures.]
"Molecular Plasma Cannon…" Allen raised an eyebrow at Rick.
"That's out of context! Sure, I made it more compact, but I didn't disguise it as a laser pistol!"
Allen squinted and picked up another device—a mysterious box.
[Universe-Ender Box:
Description: A device capable of collapsing the universe into a singularity.
Functionality: Employs a chain reaction of compressed antimatter, annihilating all nearby particles and expanding exponentially.]
"Universe-Ender Box."
Rick froze for a moment. "That… I don't know how that got into my pocket. I definitely mistook it for a gift for you!"
Knowing Rick, he probably packed it while drunk.
Allen grabbed a lunchbox and carefully inspected it to ensure it wasn't an immediate threat. When it seemed safe, he opened it and found what appeared to be a watch—but Allen knew it was just another crude disguise.
[Chrono-Destruction Bomb:
Description: A device capable of destroying not just the world but the entire associated timeline.
Functionality: Manipulates time flow and creates temporal paradoxes that disintegrate reality itself.]
Hearing the system's explanation, Allen's mood darkened. This guy carried a world-ending bomb disguised as a Batman lunchbox.
"Do you think I'm stupid?! You brought a world-destroying bomb in a damn lunchbox!."
The building was shaken by Allen's anger, but he barely managed to control himself.
"Okay… the bomb's my bad, I admit it. I'm not the most cautious person, but let's put this into perspective…"
Allen's dark gaze deepened as he grabbed a glowing vial and directly disintegrated it.
[Intergalactic Virus:
Description: An artificial pathogen created by Rick capable of spreading throughout the universe.
Functionality: Designed to infect all life forms, causing catastrophic mutations leading to extinction.]
Allen said nothing but made his dissatisfaction clear. He wanted help, but having Rick around was more dangerous than anything he might face.
Rick raised his hands. "Okay, okay, I give up. Look, I know it's my fault… I just wanted to be prepared for anything. You know, in case we needed to blow up the universe while riding off into the sunset."
Tony raised his hand. "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, 1989."
Allen blinked, surprised Tony was still here.
"No, dammit! What are you, twenty?! I was talking about Shane riding off into the sunset while young Joey yelled for him to come back. Now that's good shit."
Allen's dark aura intensified. "Rick, I know you tend to destroy universes and move on to others. But if you ever do that to mine or any universe I'm in... I'll never forgive you."
Noticing Allen's seriousness, Rick recalled how things had ended with Bird Person. He scratched his head and used his portal gun to create a green hole, disposing of the gadgets on the table.
"You don't have to repeat it. Fine, no universe-destroying devices next time…"
Rick opened a portal and left, looking a little down. However, before he crossed through, he turned back.
"Hey, I'll call you for a weekend hangout... just the two of us. I'll show you the best sauce in existence!"
"Goodbye, Rick…" Allen replied, expression unchanged.
"Fine, another day then." Rick lowered his head and disappeared, only to return moments later. "Oh, by the way, I have a granddaughter. She's not the prettiest, but she's desperate—the difficulty level's zero!"
"..."
"Well… see ya." Rick's portal closed again.
...
Tony smiled awkwardly and tried to leave discreetly, but clumsily tripped and fell heavily to the ground. Since he was still wearing his armor, the impact cracked the tatami floor.
"Tony…"
He stood up, embarrassed. "I'll pay for it!"
"Tony… we're in the afterlife. Human money is useless."
"So… what should I do? Spray some ectoplasm on the bills or…"
"…"
"Okay, okay… I'll just leave my contact info on this shelf and let the insurance handle it…"
Tony stepped through the portal and disappeared.
Nokotan appeared, sitting on Allen's shoulder with a puzzled expression. "Nun, rich people's way of thinking is always absurd~"
When even Nokotan finds you strange, everything becomes surreal. What did those two even come here for?
---
Allen had almost finished clearing the battlefield. The only one left was a slippery Deadpool, who was hiding behind a building.
Peeking around a corner, Deadpool muttered, "That was close!"
"Intruder!" shouted a Shinigami who had spotted him.
"Idiot!" Deadpool grabbed the man and pulled him into an alleyway. "Do you want that guy to find us?"
The Shinigami was too bewildered to understand what was happening, but Deadpool's serious tone scared him.
At that moment, Allen passed overhead.
"Hide!" Deadpool pulled the stunned man further into the alley.
"That's…"
"That's right! He's the widow-maker, the waifu-snatcher, the stealer of beauties! Neither your wife, your daughters, nor even your mother are safe with him around!"
The Shinigami's heart clenched, and his body trembled. He had heard that the invaders were terrifying, but he hadn't thought they were this kind of degenerate.
The man clung to Deadpool desperately. "What do we do?!" He might not have a wife, daughters, or even a mother, but those were just minor details now.
Deadpool looked at the man, then nodded and patted his shoulder. "Don't worry! Don Pool has got your back!~"
"And who's got your back?"
Turning mechanically, Deadpool found himself face-to-face with the one person he didn't want to see. Allen said nothing, grabbed Deadpool, and threw him through a portal.
On the other side, Deadpool crashed into a dumpster and fell inside.
"That wasn't very nice. Ugh… although, totally worth it." Grinning, Deadpool drew two katanas, which turned out to be two Asauchi (the form before a zanpakuto.) "I call this… strategy!~"
Deadpool stood up, gripping his two Asauchi. "Bankai!"
Nothing happened.
It was to be expected since Deadpool had no spiritual energy. Not only that, he was the least qualified person to wield an Asauchi since he was immortal, and being a spirit was a requirement.
"Oh well, at least I've got two invisible katanas now."
The system had granted some characters the ability to see spirits, but for ordinary people, Asauchi were invisible—making Deadpool, the Merc with a Mouth, even more dangerous.
---
Angelica returned to the group, frustrated. Her opponent had been weak, and facing such a creature was boring. It lacked the will of a respectable warrior.
"No matter, my goal wasn't anything like that…" she smirked. From the start, she had desired to meet Allen, but more than that, she wanted to "befriend" him and perhaps spend a few days at his home—something Allen didn't refuse.
Unohana glanced at Angelica with her arms crossed, a playful smile on her face. Angelica noticed and frowned.
"What is it?"
Angelica had a personality that reflected her dignity as a King and her prowess as a mage. To come to this world, she had temporarily become a heroic spirit. It wasn't necessary since Allen could bring her physical body, but she wanted to try it.
"I was just thinking how terrifyingly popular my dear is~"
"Tsk, indeed… Unfortunately, Allen has this tendency to be surrounded by women, something nonsensical in my opinion… but it's his decision, and I won't question it."
Unohana's eyes narrowed. "Oh, I see~"
She had noticed the jealousy in Angelica's words, though Angelica herself hadn't realized it... something Unohana found highly amusing.
---
Orihime finished using her powers to restore Rukia to her prime state.
"This is amazing, Inoue!"
Rukia, who had felt weak before, was now stretching her arms without difficulty.
"Hehe, thanks~"
Orihime hadn't known she possessed such power, but she was grateful to be useful; otherwise, there would've been no point in her coming.
"I told you Rukia, Hime is an amazing girl."
"…!"
Rukia opened her mouth in surprise when she saw Allen standing behind Orihime. She was curious about his hair color, but it didn't matter; she was simply glad to see him well.
Orihime bit her lip, holding back her tears. Allen knew this girl often kept her emotions bottled up to avoid worrying others and because she knew she couldn't afford to be vulnerable.
Allen pulled her into a hug, and she couldn't fake a smile anymore, breaking into tears. Allen nodded at Chad and gave a subtle greeting to Isane, who blushed, being a shy girl around Allen.
After a moment, Orihime wiped her tears, and Allen handed her a handkerchief, which she used to blow her nose.
"Thank you, and sorry about your clothes…" Orihime felt embarrassed for crying so much, but Allen snapped his fingers, making the stains disappear.
"Oh!" Orihime clapped her hands at the trick.
Allen chuckled and turned his attention to Rukia, who flinched as if knowing his intentions. Her rational mind screamed at her to run, but her body refused to move.
Allen hugged Rukia. She resisted at first but eventually gave in. Her heart warmed with an unfamiliar sense of comfort. Rukia knew that if she kept sharing intimate moments with Allen, she'd end up falling for him, but a voice in her head whispered, "It doesn't matter…"
"You're dangerous…" Rukia said, puffing her cheek.
"That depends on what you consider dangerous." Allen ruffled her hair, making her heart race.
Ahem.
"I'm glad you're okay…" Chad approached, giving Allen a thumbs-up.
Allen turned to see Unohana approaching. She had given him space to console the younger girls, knowing they must've faced moments of uncertainty.
Allen glanced at the other girls, his eyes landing on Isane, silently asking if she wanted a hug too.
"I'm fine!" Isane quickly declined, her face red.
Allen also looked at Angelica, but she averted her gaze, pretending not to care about Allen's intimacy with other girls.
Allen let go of Rukia and approached Unohana, who smiled warmly before throwing herself into his arms.
"I'm glad you're okay, dear~"
"I'm also happy that you are well."
Angelica mocked in her heart that seemingly mature woman who acted like a maiden in love as soon as she was in the arms of her love.
Moments later, Yoruichi appeared in her human form, fully dressed.
"Allen, we should go. This place is already a disaster…"
While casualties had been minimal, the structural damage was significant.
Still holding Unohana, Allen surveyed the scene. It was hard to say what the future held for the Seireitei. Yet they couldn't disappear; they were a necessary organization in this world.
"All right, let's go."
There were no further complications, but just as they were about to leave, a girl appeared.
"Lieutenant Kurotsuchi Nemu," Allen murmured, recognizing the expressionless woman.
"I'm sorry, but I have orders to stop you."
Her gaze didn't waver, even as she faced Allen, which was understandable.
Nemu is an artificial entity created using gigai technology and modified souls by Captain Kurotsuchi Mayuri. Despite being an experiment often belittled by her creator, in some deep way, they saw each other as a father and daughter—or something close to it.
"Nemu-san?!" Isane was the first to panic. For a lieutenant or even a captain to attempt to stop this group was futile. Even Unohana didn't want this girl to waste her life. However, before she could speak, Allen smiled.
"Nemu, don't worry. There's a way to buy you time while benefiting your father at the same time."
Nemu shuddered to hear someone link her to Kurostsuchi Mayuri as father and daughter.
Allen was taken to the Research and Development Division, where he met Mayuri and presented him with a proposal he couldn't refuse.
After that, the arc of Rukia's rescue concluded, and Allen took everyone back to the human world…

A/N: We finished the arc, there is only one and a half chapter epilogue left ;3
