Chapter 7: What a gamer does best
Gimmick's excitement quickly died down when he realized he started getting really fatigued. "Food...ugh." He groaned. He was clear of the trees, which started to make him dizzy after running much faster than he ever could. He walked into a bright green open field of grass. There were white sheep with rectangular wool, walking around. A few baby pigs trotted behind their loving mother pig. A familiar path of dirt was etched below his feet. He continued following the path, walking in the direction it went. The path eventually led to a village in the plains. The sky was sunny with a few clouds, and the air felt nice and warm. He didn't understand why the village seemed deserted.
He approached the first small shack. The walls were lined with oak logs, while the house was made of oak planks entirely. A stone stair was on the ground leading to a large brown wooden door that could fit his new self. He knocked on the door, and stood for a while waiting for someone to open the door. When he got tired of waiting, he knocked on a few other doors. Still, nobody answered.
At the end, there was a citadel inspired small building that was made up of stone. He knocked on the door. An old bald man with a unibrow, green rectangular eyes, and a nose that looked incredibly funny opened the door. He had a long white beard and a few lines etched on his face that showed his exhaustion, and a long green robe.
"Uh hello old dude, what happened here? Why is nobody opening their doors?" Gim asked the old man.
He sighed tiredly and looked at Gim. "The majority of people migrated towards the north after our hero was captured." He walked into the small tower-like building. Gimmick followed him inside.
"Who's your hero?" Gim asked the old man.
"Steve, The Great. He was known all across the realm for his strength, his valiance and his kindness." The old man said.
Gim raised a brow in surprise. Steve from Minecraft getting captured was not something he believed was possible. He believed he knew what needed to be done. He looked at the old man and rested his hand on his own chest.
"Don't worry old dude, I'll bring him back to this realm."
Gim grinned. It was time to do what a gamer did best.
