Today, I went to school feeling better than usual. I was full of energy. I couldn’t wait to finish school and go play with pets after school. 

I took my seat, and a few minutes later, Ren arrived.

He came over to my desk as usual.

“Hey, what’s up? Huh? You seem happy today despite saying you ran out of money,” Ren said.

“Actually, I was able to land a good job yesterday.”

“I’m getting paid 2,000 yen per hour.”

“Taking care of pets.”
