ALL NOVEL New Translation Site and Improved Model
Hello everyone,
I'm pleased to announce the launch of a new and improved translation model at Geriatric Translations. What began as a hobby project to improve machine translations of web novels has now evolved into a platform offering higher quality and more reliable translations for the community.
After moving from a local LLaMa model to GPT-4o, we’ve significantly enhanced translation quality. Our system also includes consistency features for entity naming, and other improvements that bring our output up to modern machine translation standards.
Inspired by Keetarin from Scribblehub, we’ve integrated options for corrections and chapter quality flagging, allowing us to refine translations with input from the community. This approach helps ensure a higher standard of accuracy and relevance. (Still WIP )
To sustain the project and cover costs such as API usage and hosting and earn some pocket money, we’ve adopted a donation model via Patreon. For every $50 raised, we release a full novel translation, enabling community-driven content generation.
