"Minamoto no Yoshitsune?"

Fang Li suddenly stopped in his tracks.

He was, of course, familiar with this name.

In fact, anyone who has lived in this country for a while should have at least heard of it.

**Minamoto no Yoshitsune** was one of the most famous heroes of this country, a legendary figure from the late Heian Period. He came from a samurai family, one that produced great warriors for generations, culminating in this hero of the late Heian era.

In this country, Minamoto no Yoshitsune is one of the most revered heroes.

Not only because he was an outstanding military commander but also because his life was marked by a tragic and legendary narrative that captivated the public.

His story was so moving that two major theories emerged, both suggesting that Minamoto no Yoshitsune did not actually die.

One theory posited that Yoshitsune fled to Mongolia, where he started from scratch and eventually rose to become Genghis Khan, almost uniting the entire continent.

Of course, that theory has long been disproven and rejected by scholars. These days, no one seriously believes it anymore.

Nevertheless, Minamoto no Yoshitsune remains one of the most famous military commanders, which is an undeniable fact.

Could it really be that Reki is a descendant of Minamoto no Yoshitsune?

In this world, many extraordinary people from the past have left behind their bloodlines, resulting in the existence of many superhuman individuals today—a fact Fang Li was well aware of.

Thus, he wasn't entirely surprised.

However, what Shirayuki said next truly shocked Fang Li.

"In fact, the historical Genghis Khan really was Minamoto no Yoshitsune," Shirayuki said. "Back then, Yoshitsune's supposed death in tragedy was merely a ruse. The Minamoto family, with the help of various figures, escaped to Mongolia, where they became the future Genghis Khan. It was all hidden for political reasons, manipulated by those helping them, which is why it became regarded as just a theory."

"What?" Fang Li was stunned.

Is that really true?

"It's true," Shirayuki quickly added. "At that time, one of the forces that helped the Minamoto family escape was the Hotogi Shrine. The idea that Yoshitsune was Genghis Khan, presented as just a theory, was actually orchestrated by Hotogi Shrine behind the scenes."

In other words, Reki was actually a descendant of Genghis Khan?

"I only learned about this after the I-U incident when Hotogi Shrine informed me that Reki was a descendant of Genghis Khan," Shirayuki explained somewhat apologetically. "Since I'm in charge of domestic affairs at the shrine, not foreign relations, I had never paid attention to this before."

This was indeed a bit of a lapse.

After all, the Hotogi Shrine had been involved in Minamoto no Yoshitsune's escape, concealment, and the eventual swap of identities.

As the Head Miko of Hotogi Shrine, it was no wonder Shirayuki felt embarrassed for not knowing this sooner.

"Today, the descendants of Genghis Khan live secluded along the border between Russia and Mongolia, as a small ethnic group on the high plains south of Lake Baikal, known as the **Ulus** tribe."

Shirayuki continued her explanation.

"Because their ancestor, Genghis Khan, was famed for conquering all of Asia with his bow and arrow, the Ulus tribe, as his descendants, inherited his combat skills. They excel in archery and marksmanship. Though they are a closed-off clan, they are feared as a people of mercenaries."

Archery and marksmanship, huh?

No wonder Reki's sniping skills are so exceptional. It was all inherited from Genghis Khan's natural talents.

"However, the Ulus tribe's population is dwindling and is now on the verge of extinction," Shirayuki said softly. "According to information from Hotogi, the Ulus tribe has only forty-seven members left. That's the price they've paid for being so isolated from the world."

At this point, Shirayuki's expression suddenly changed, becoming fierce and angry.

"I think the reason Reki is trying to sabotage your relationship with Aria by claiming to be your fiancée is because she wants to take you back to her tribe to… to bear children and continue the bloodline. That is simply unforgivable!"

Fang Li immediately fell silent.

Unforgivable?

**"If their tribe goes extinct, wouldn't that be the real unforgivable sin?"**

Also, Shirayuki, you've already stopped using the term "student" when referring to Reki, haven't you?

"Her tribe, huh?" Fang Li murmured. "So that's why she said she would take me back to her tribe after we got married. Now I understand."

It seems that Reki's declaration in the infirmary about claiming Fang Li was serious.

In some ancient, small ethnic groups, there were indeed customs of bride kidnapping, where one would have to forcibly take their desired partner.

As a member of the Ulus tribe, which only has forty-seven people left, it's not surprising that Reki would resort to such means for the sake of preserving the bloodline.

"Then why does Reki want to break up my relationship with Aria?" Fang Li asked. "That shouldn't have anything to do with continuing the bloodline, right?"

Perhaps Reki considered the issue of passing on her lineage when planning to make Fang Li her husband, thus breaking his relationship with Aria.

However, before that, Reki's sole intent was to separate Fang Li and Aria, even to the point of wanting to kill Aria. In the beginning, she didn't mention anything about marriage or continuing the family line.

In other words, at least before last night, Reki didn't approach Fang Li with the intent of producing offspring; her goal was simply to break up Fang Li and Aria.

There must be another reason for all this.

At that moment, Shirayuki hesitated slightly.

Then, gathering her courage, she said to Fang Li, "Li Kun, you've already heard about the Irokane from Sir Sherlock, haven't you?"

"Irokane?" Fang Li blinked in surprise and hesitated for a moment before replying, "Are you referring to the 'Hihiirokane'?"

"No, not just 'Hihiirokane'," Shirayuki shook her head and continued, "Li Kun may not know, but in this world, there isn't only one kind of Irokane, like the Hihiirokane. There are also two other kinds."

"Two other types?" Fang Li was startled.

Besides the Hihiirokane, there are two more types of Irokane in this world?

"The Irokane in this world are divided into three types."

Shirayuki began explaining to Fang Li.

"Hihiirokane."

"Ruruirokane."

"Ririirokane."

"These three types of Irokane are all special metals that can grant their holders immensely powerful supernatural abilities. They are regarded as being more dangerous than nuclear weapons, rare crystals that could potentially influence the world."

With an unprecedentedly serious expression, Shirayuki revealed this information to Fang Li.

"And the Ulus tribe possesses the third type— Ririirokane. They are the guardians of the Ririirokane."
