I’m Not a Saint, Not a Priest, Just a Healer

Chapter 35 - An Unexpected Event (3)

Although Yona was an adventurer, her physical abilities weren’t particularly outstanding.
She wasn’t the type of adventurer who engaged in physical fights or such, and until the Day of Judgment came, all she did was receive education quietly in the church, so she had no opportunity for physical training.
Because of this, Yona, while running, didn’t have the dynamic visual acuity to dodge Alec who was flying towards her.
“Kyaaaah-?!”
With a sharp scream, Yona collided head-on with Alec and rolled backwards, tangled together.
The first sensation Alec felt was softness.
Soft, and also smooth, and something squishy where his entire fingers sank in-
…Squishy?
Alec suddenly came to his senses.
When he regained consciousness, Alec realized that his fingers, which should have been touching the ground, were buried in something strange and squishy.
Someone was lying underneath.
That person was none other than Yona.
And Alec’s hand was grasping Yona’s breast quite splendidly.
‘…Ah.’
The sensation was so extraordinary that he almost forgot what the current situation was.
An incredible volume that not only filled his hand but seemed to overflow.
Soft and squishy, that-
“Get off, you bastard… You’re heavy…!”
At those words, Alec’s consciousness that had flown away instantly returned.
Yona’s golden eyes were glaring at Alec.
With a gaze that could have killed someone dozens of times if looks could kill, Alec awkwardly got off from on top of Yona.
“Ah, it hurts… This bastard, really, ow…”
Yona glanced behind Alec and then glared at him again.
Then she raised her hand and slapped Alec’s bald head with a loud smack.
“You crazy bastard, where do you think you’re jumping into? I almost died too!”
“So-sorry.”
“This ignorant bastard, really…”
Yona grumbled as she got up.
Only then did Alec get a good look at Yona’s face, and his eyes widened.
“Hey, hey… You, your face…”
“What about my face.”
Yona’s face was scraped and grazed in several places, looking quite terrible.
Whether it was from rolling around tangled with Alec, there was even a large scratch mark on her cheek where it had been grazed by a stone.
The blood trickling down indicated it was undoubtedly a deep wound.
“Ow, it stings… You bastard, this is because of you.”
Alec quickly turned around to look behind him.
The troll was lying far away with only its feet visible, but seeing that those feet were no longer moving, Kairoc had probably succeeded in beheading it.
If that’s taken care of, the current problem was Yona.
“Hey, are you okay!? Your face is badly hurt!”
“Ah, it’s fine. It’s just a face wound… Hey, let me look at you. Let’s see if you’re hurt anywhere.”
“You, your face first…”
“Oh, really!”
Alec didn’t know what to do with Yona who was getting angry.
Honestly, at that time, Alec had good intentions.
If he could shake the troll to make it lose balance, they could somehow use the rope to trip its legs and make it fall, and then Kairoc could behead the troll.
Alec had done what he thought was the best action he could take.
Although he didn’t expect to be struck by the troll’s hand and knocked away afterwards.
“Let me look at you first! Are you hurt anywhere!”
As Alec was hesitating, Yona, seemingly impatient, directly checked Alec with her hands, looking him over here and there.
Anyway, thanks to Yona acting as a cushion, Alec wasn’t particularly hurt anywhere, but there were some scrape marks from stones.
“You stupid fool, why did you rush in there? You idiot, what if you got hit wrong and died?”
“No… I…”
“Oh, enough! Stop making excuses! Is a man supposed to make excuses? How pathetic.”
Meanwhile, Kairoc approached the two with his axe slung over his shoulder.
Kairoc approached, and soon after, James also came up to the two.
“Kairoc, the troll?”
“Killed it. We managed to catch it somehow.”
Kairoc showed his thumb backwards.
The villagers were busily carrying various containers that could hold liquid, like wooden buckets and basins.
“Blood?”
“That’s right. I told them to collect the blood because it sells for a high price to the church.”
The main ingredient of potions is troll blood.
Since the basis of regenerative power is troll blood, if you catch one troll and collect its blood to sell to the church, it’s quite profitable.
Making potions is also the church’s job, after all.
“The church will come rushing here.”
“Well, that’s likely. It’s potion material after all.”
“Still, Miss Yona, you were amazing this time. Truly a manly spirit.”
James was smirking.
Apparently, James, who had been keeping a bit more distance than Kairoc who was directly facing the troll, had seen well what happened to Alec and Yona.
“I didn’t expect you to catch Alec like that, it was really impressive.”
“No, I didn’t try to catch him. He just rushed in on his own and flew into me.”
“More importantly, Yona, is your face okay?”
“Is it badly hurt?”
Looking at Kairoc’s face, it was hard to tell his expression.
With a face that looked like a shark’s head, you could only tell when he was smiling, so it was hard to know what expression he was making.
But even without Kairoc saying so, judging by the pain that was gradually rising and throbbing, it seemed more badly hurt than she thought.
“…Well, it’ll heal if left alone.”
“Can’t you heal yourself?”
“Uh, no.”
While she was inwardly complaining about not understanding why healers couldn’t heal themselves-
“Excuse me, but…”
It was a man in his early old age with sparse graying hair on both sides and a cleanly bald center.
Still, he had more hair than Alec.
“I, I am the chief of this village. Per-perhaps…”
“We’re just passing adventurers.”
It was a rather blunt answer.
Honestly, Yona didn’t like the villagers much either.
While Kairoc, Alec, James, and Yona were fighting hard, weren’t the villagers just watching?
They hadn’t received a request and were just passing by when a little girl-
‘Ah.’
“There was a little girl, wasn’t there?”
“A little girl…?”
The man asked back with an awkward expression.
He was about to express gratitude and talk about compensation, but Yona suddenly talking about a little girl seemed strange to him.
“We were just going to pass by, but… you know, that black-haired girl about ten years old…”
“Ah… Do you mean Rubina?”
“I don’t know her name, but we decided to help because of her… Ah, but we’ll still take compensation.”
We should take what we should take.
“But what about that face? It’ll leave a scar.”
“Oh, who cares. A scar or two makes you look more like an adventurer, so it’s good.”
“Alec looks like he’s going to cry.”
“Why are you bringing up Alec?!”
Kairoc chuckled as he watched Yona shouting.
The mattress they lay down on after unpacking their luggage was truly peaceful.
It was a poor mattress far from being fluffy or comfortable, but it was still several times better than the hard bare ground.
The original inhabitant of this house must have been quite meticulous, as the house itself was very old, but the interior was neatly organized. However, it was all for naught since both the house owners had died.
“They said they’d call us when dinner is ready, right?”
“Yeah. It’s probably best to rest for now.”
Yona was lying on the mattress, enjoying its coziness with her whole body.
The mattress, filled tightly with well-dried leaves instead of straw, made a little noise every time she moved, but its softness and comfort were far better than a straw mattress.
After moving the beds from other rooms, they placed four beds in one large room, and the group was all gathered in one room.
At Yona’s suggestion that there was no need to split up into separate rooms, everyone agreed without complaint, even though there wasn’t really a reason for them all to sleep together either.
It was an ownerless house anyway.
“Man, I wish we could carry this mattress around with us.”
“Wouldn’t we need a dedicated porter for that?”
“Carrying four mattresses? Maybe if we hired an ogre it would be possible.”
“Then food expenses would be a problem. Aren’t ogres carnivorous?”
“Can’t we somehow manage with Yona’s milk?”
“You crazy bastard.”
The conversation flows seriously.
“Come to think of it, Alec, you groped Yona’s breasts earlier, didn’t you?”
At Kairoc’s words, Yona, who had been lying down, sat up abruptly.
Although it was hectic, she definitely remembered.
When she was rolling around tangled with Alec, Alec had clearly groped Yona’s breasts.
“Ah, right. That did happen. Alec, you bastard.”
“Uh, uh…”
Alec was surprised when Yona reacted.
Alec, who had been chuckling while half-lying down, sat up on the bed with a tense expression.
“Hey, Alec. You groped my breasts earlier.”
“Th-that… Yeah… I did.”
Alec, with a bright red face, half lowered his head, not knowing what to do.
Yona glared at him, while Kairoc and James were chuckling and laughing at Alec from the side.
In fact, as in life, while the parties involved are serious, those watching from the side just find it amusing.
“Did you like it?”
“Uh-”
Alec recalled that sensation.
Honestly, well.
He couldn’t say he didn’t.
In fact, even now, he felt that sensation, that squishiness and bounciness reviving at his fingertips.
And if possible, he wanted to grope them just once more.
“…I liked it.”
“Oh really?”
Yona grinned with a mischievous expression.
“I’ll count that as using the ticket, you bald bastard.”
“Huh, hey! Th-that’s a bit unfair, isn’t it?”
“What’s unfair? After touching all you want. I didn’t specify in what situation you’d get to touch them. Besides, you did grope them.”
When Yona said that, Alec had nothing more to say.
It was true that he touched them, true that he groped them, and true that the situation wasn’t specified.
He had groped Yona’s breasts one way or another.
But if possible, he wanted to grope them to his heart’s content in a more proper situation.

-Knock knock.
And Alec’s reverie was interrupted by the sound of knocking.
“Who is it?”

-Um, di-dinner is ready, so…
It was a young voice.
Since it was a bit awkward to send out the three visibly unusual people – bald Alec, lizardman Kairoc, and orc James – Yona had no choice but to get up and open the door.
In front of the door stood a black-haired girl.
It was the very girl who had made Yona decide to catch that troll.
