Acknowledgement Of The Heaven
Brax has no clue as to what is going on. He looks around and sees some of the outer sect disciples suddenly assume the so-called lotus position and start cultivating.
But unlike them, Brax doesn't need to assume any cultivation position, he just needs to stand there as his body cultivates automatically.
As the golden sky continues to swirl, more Qi energy descends onto the continent. Almost all cultivators sense the sudden increase in the density of Qi energy causing them excitement.
Many cultivators take advantage of this situation and begin cultivating. You wouldn't find any cultivator of the Arzen continent not cultivating right now.
Many of them soon achieved breakthroughs because of the abundance of Qi energy that filled the continent, but the one who benefited the most was Brax.
As he stood there, his body crazily observed the Qi energy around him and made multiple breakthroughs.
Within five minutes, he reached the 5th stage of the Qi condensing realm. He would have broken through once again if not for the golden sky suddenly stopping releasing Qi and sucking back all the excess Qi energy before returning to normal.
The dense Qi lasted only five minutes, but it was enough for most cultivators as they made significant breakthroughs.
Brax is still confused as to what just happened so he decides to meet up with Peter to see if he knows anything.
Peter's house is very close by so it doesn't take Brax much time to get there. As he approaches Peter's house, he sees Peter sitting right outside his house, cultivating.
This is not weird to Brax as he saw the same scene everywhere as he made his way here. Because of the dense Qi dump, many cultivators started cultivating on the spot.
Seeing Peter was engrossed in his cultivation, Brax decided to wait. After a few minutes, Peter finally opened his eyes and saw Brax standing right in front of him.
He then instantly noticed that Brax had made a breakthrough as he was now in the 5th stage of the Qi condensing realm.
"You broke through!" he exclaims, not knowing that Brax made multiple breakthroughs within minutes. "Ya, I got lucky," Brax said.
"Me too. I broke through as well. Now I should be able to participate in the upcoming exam," Peter says with excitement.
"Do you know what just happened?" Not wanting to waste his time on petty chats, Brax got straight to the point.
"Oh, ya... fuck, I was so excited about my breakthrough that I totally forgot what just happened," Peter says and then starts explaining everything with excitement.
"That was the acknowledgment of the heaven," Peter says. "Acknowledgment of the heaven?" Brax asks with confusion, as his memories have no such thing in them. Well, the previous Brax didn't have anything significant in his memories other than the basic information that helped Brax blend in a little better. He was, after all, just a mortal who got lucky and entered a sect. He was not born in the world of cultivation to know the major of its ins and outs.
"Yes, when something perfect appears or is created, it causes this phenomenon. The last time this happened was a hundred thousand years ago, according to the stories I have read. But I don't know if it's true or not," Peter says.
Brax realizes that this phenomenon was caused because of him, luckily he wasn't exposed because of it. Now curious about this phenomenon, he wanted to learn a little more.
"What is this story about?" Brax asks. "It talks about an Immortal Realm Cultivator called the sword immortal who created a perfect level sword technique that gained the acknowledgment of the heaven," Peter explained.
"Does this only happen with matters related to cultivation?" Brax asked. "I don't think so. There are myths that sometimes special treasures and artifacts are born that are perfect which have gained acknowledgment of heaven, but I don't know much about it," Peter says. "By the way, are you free right now?" and then asks.
"No, why do you ask?" Brax asks. He has no interest in what Peter wants, but he still decides to fake interest to keep his cover.
"I want to buy some pills. Let's go to the alchemy hall," Peter says and gets back on his feet.
"Sure, let's go," Brax agrees as he is curious about alchemy. From his memories, he has learned that alchemy plays a huge role in a cultivator's life, as it will help them boost their cultivation speed or make a breakthrough when their progress has stagnated.
Alchemy is the practice of pill and elixir making, these pills that they make are made from spiritual plants and beast parts that have special abilities and effects which greatly help a cultivator on their path of cultivation.
Even if Brax hadn't chosen to be a cultivator, he would have still studied alchemy as he would have been very interested in the workings of alchemy, how the people of this world implement the various spiritual plants and beasts into consumable pills, and how these pills affect the human body? What changes do they bring? Do they cause any specific mutation in the body? Brax has so many questions.
The alchemy hall is located near the 5th mountain, so it took some time for them to get there, even with their speed.
Arriving in front of the alchemy hall, Brax notices that it is not as crowded as the manual hall back at the 11th Mountain, as not many cultivators try to become alchemists.
The study of alchemy requires time, and many cultivators don't want to waste their time learning alchemy and neglect their cultivation.
It is because of this reason that alchemists have low cultivation, but that doesn't mean they don't garner respect.
A renowned 3-star alchemist holds more influence and power in the cultivation world compared to a Soul-strengthening realm cultivator, as many of these powerful cultivators rely on these alchemists to acquire pills.
If you offend a renowned alchemist, you are as good as dead because you might get blacklisted by the alchemist guild, which would make sure that you can't ever buy a cultivation pill from them.
Another thing that alchemists hold over cultivators is that they are wealthy as fuck as selling pills is very lucrative.
Brax knows that to gain strength, he will require wealth. And the best way to make insane wealth in this world is by becoming an alchemist.
'I need to learn how to do alchemy,' Brax thinks to himself as he enters the alchemy hall alongside Peter.
