In Fairy Tail, starts with a Super Mega Gengar

Chapter 22: Gildarts: I Am Not Human... I Am Guilty...

At this moment, Gildarts' brain was buzzing.

A sense of indescribable panic swept over him.

His... daughter???

Daughter...

What on earth is going on!

Gildarts grabbed Gaal by the collar and shook him wildly, "Speak up! What is going on!!!"

Gaal's magic power was depleted, and after just splitting into so many little figures to fight, he had exhausted a lot of mental energy. He quickly raised his hand to stop him, "Wait! I'm a little dizzy; let go of me first. Let go first."

Gildarts finally stopped, but his eyes were already somewhat vacant, probably due to his brain being in chaos.

Seeing that Gildarts had released him, Gaal took out a potion and drank it down, letting out a long breath.

Having restored some magic power, he activated magic, causing a silver-white magic circle to light up on the distant hillside.

Bringing Gray back from afar.

Seeing Gray appear, Gildarts came back to his senses, with his focus in his eyes gradually returning. He took a few deep breaths and regained a bit of calm as he turned to Gaal and asked, "Can you tell me now?"

Upon hearing Gildarts' words and seeing his serious expression, Gray was a bit confused about what had happened.

However, Gaal remained silent, not daring to speak. He merely glanced around at the massive crater stretching thousands of meters wide, utterly shocked.

Seeing it up close was far more overwhelming than when viewed through binoculars.

Gaal raised his hand and touched the ground lightly.

The rocks on the ground began to shift, quickly growing three stone pillars.

Gaal sat down directly, and Gildarts and Gray followed suit. Then Gaal spoke, "The little girl's name is 'Cana Alberona.'"

As he spoke, he raised his palm and waved it in front of him.

A three-dimensional projection appeared before the three of them, the perspective showing the scene from when Gaal first met Cana.

At the open door of the guild hall, everyone curiously looked at little Cana walking in.

Little Cana was holding a small white dog. Seeing so many people looking at her, she shyly asked, "Um... Excuse me, is this Fairy Tail?"

Hearing little Cana's voice, Gildarts' whole body trembled.

Gaal's magic not only projected the scene but also perfectly restored the sound.

Gildarts stared blankly at the little girl, lifting his hand as if to touch her but passing through instead. Noticing this, Gaal asked, "Do you remember who her mother is?"

Gildarts looked at little Cana's face, which seemed to overlap with someone from his memories, murmuring, "Sara? Naomi? Kreia? No, the hair color is wrong. Fina? Marie? No, the timing doesn't add up. Could it be Eliza? No, Eliza just turned eighteen... Aima, Sheila? Or Gwendolyn? Not them either..."

Gaal, listening by the side, turned dark-faced, his brows twitching. He silently stood up and then directly used magic power to propel himself forward, kicking out, "You idiot, why don't you just die!"

Gildarts was sent flying back, crashing to the ground, immediately getting up straight, "How dare you! You stole another attack; it seems I'm going to have to teach you a lesson properly!"

Gaal's face turned dark as he coldly smiled, "That's exactly my intention."

The two exchanged glances.

Swish!

They disappeared from their spot, and the next second, they were in a fierce battle.

Gray watched in bewilderment as these two powerful mages fought like street thugs, going all out in a brawl...

Moments later, the two of them smoothly stopped fighting and returned to sit on the stone pillars.

However, they were both covered in dirt and bore bruises on their faces.

But after this encounter, Gildarts had completely calmed down, sitting on the stone pillar, looking at the projection of little Cana before him, his gaze softening.

"She is Cornelia's child. There's no mistake."

The face of little Cana before him completely overlapped with that of the woman he loved most from his memories.

Seeing this, Gaal asked, "Do you remember now? Which girlfriend was it?"

Gaal quietly released an Emotion Magic.

The fairy Poké Ball shot out a faint red light, and Gengar quietly landed behind the several people present. It reached inside its belly and pulled out a magic camera.

Turning it on!

Gray widened his eyes, staring at Gengar's appearance.

His head turned back and forth between Gildarts and Gengar.

But Gildarts was lost in his memories.

He didn't notice this at all.

Gildarts gazed at little Cana's illusion, a hint of nostalgia flowing in his eyes as he spoke with a tone of regret and pain, "No. Cornelia... she was the only woman I ever married. Back then, I was often out on missions. Which led me to overlook her love. One day when I returned from a mission, I heard nothing but news of her death. I couldn't believe she died just like that. I went to search for her, but found nothing."

Gildarts raised his hand, gently stroking the little Cana in the illusion, unconsciously shedding tears, "Looking back now. She must have accumulated disappointment in me before leaving. I..."

Gildarts didn't know how to continue.

If it weren't for building up so much disappointment, how could she leave while pregnant?

He didn't even know his daughter had grown this big.

Gray stood there in a daze, while Gaal nodded in satisfaction, realizing how effective Emotion Magic was.

Beside them, Gengar snickered, its figure along with the magic camera turning transparent.

It floated towards the front of Gildarts, wanting to take a shot of his face.

Gildarts watched Little Cana's projection, his tone softening again, "When did Cana join? What is she like now? Does she have a place to live? Is anyone bullying her? What kind of magic is she learning?"

Although it was phrased as questions, they were all unnecessary inquiries.

Gaal knew it was his daughter; how could he not take care of Cana?

However...

Gaal sighed, making Gildarts feel a sudden alarm, and he quickly exclaimed, "Hey?! Why are you sighing?! Damn it! By the way, you came to find me! Did something happen to Cana?! Quick, tell me! What's going on! Who is it! Damn it! Don't you know that's my daughter, Gildarts?!"

Gaal quickly raised his hand, stopping Gildarts' barrage of questions, "Stop, stop, stop. One at a time. Cana is fine, but she has some psychological issues."

Gildarts was immediately surprised, "What psychological issues?!"

Gaal sighed again, "Isn't it because of a certain irresponsible father?"

Gildarts' face froze, as if struck by an arrow.

Gaal continued, "The little girl traveled a long way to find her father, worn and weary along the way. And during that time, her father might have been preoccupied with other things."

A painful mask formed on Gildarts' face as he clutched his chest.

Gaal spoke with a gloomy expression, "With your reputation, Gildarts, you're a top talking point in the guild. For a little girl, filled with expectations to find her father, how great a shock could that be?"

Gildarts seemed to be penetrated by a negative spirit as he knelt down on the ground, his face turning pale and gray, "I am not human... I am guilty... I am not human... I am guilty..."
