In Fairy Tail, starts with a Super Mega Gengar

Chapter 43: Chapter 43: Gaal: Let's Gather for a Team Battle Against the Grimoire heart

In the distance, Hades, cloaked in black robes, descended slowly, gazing at Gildarts.

"Why meddle in others' affairs?"

Behind him, four silhouettes emerged from the sky, representing four out of the future Purgatory Seven.

There was Azuma using the "Arc of the Great Tree."

Rustyrose was employing "Arc of Embodiment" magic.

Kain Hikaru was casting "Ushi no Koku Mairi."

And there was Zancrow wielding "God Slayer Magic."

Zoldeo was missing, along with the yet-to-mature Ultear and Meredy.

The four fell into a formation, surrounding Gaal and the others.

Gaal brushed his hand over the Poké Ball at his waist, a flash of light appearing as Dragonite materialized on the ground. Gaal instructed,

"Dragonite, take Lyon and leave."

Dragonite nodded, letting out a howl, indicating for Lyon to climb onto its back.

Lyon leaped onto Dragonite's back, and a faint blue psychic shield illuminated around Dragonite as it soared into the sky.

Hades remained expressionless, but the others furrowed their brows. Noting that Hades said nothing further, they focused back on the encircled Gaal, Ur, and Gildarts.

With a flip of his right hand, Gaal produced a staff embedded with large Elemental Crystals and grasped it tightly:

"This feels troublesome."

Gildarts locked eyes with Hades, his battle intent surging in his gaze:

"I don't have a habit of running away."

He looked at Hades, his tone eager:

"And...you almost killed my friend. That's not something small, you know."

Responding to Hades, Gildarts had long forgotten when he last fought at full power. Even the previous battle in the Northern Lands against Gaal had him holding back some strength.

Gaal glanced at Ur, who nodded in agreement, clearly ready for battle. Although she wasn't fond of fighting, being ambushed and nearly killed would ignite anger in anyone.

Seeing the determination in both of them, Gaal couldn't help but smirk, raising his hand in preparation:

"Let's get ready to team up."

He too had no inclination towards fleeing.

Five flashes of light appeared: Gengar, Urshifu, Greninja, Ninetales, and Alolan Ninetales landed beside Gaal. Gaal infused Galar Particles into them, enabling them to activate at will.

Hades scoffed,

"Fairy Tail.... They shouldn't have been left alive...."

Gildarts and Ur didn't understand Hades' words, nor did Hades seem inclined to explain.

With a wave of his hand, he unleashed a dark magic:

"Amaterasu Formula 100!"

A black magic circle condensed instantly, enveloping the group in a sevenfold magical array.

Gildarts grinned, confidently proclaiming:

"Same move. Won't work a second time!"

Magic surged violently from Gildarts as he pressed his hand into the ground:

"Comprehensive Disintegration!!!"

The ground shuddered violently.

Starting from beneath Gildarts, everything rapidly decomposed, including the enormous black magic array underfoot. The six surrounding black magic arrays trembled under the pressure too.

One was hailed as the strongest mage on the Western continent, while the other was the head of the most powerful dark guild on the Ishgar continent, Hades.

Supreme-level magic clashed with Hades' seemingly endless dark magic power.

Both sides had top-tier magic intensity, striving for dominance.

Gaal and Ur swiftly evaded the collision center.

Gaal produced a Gengar Mega Evolution Stone, and a beam of light enveloped Gengar.

With a maniacal grin, Gengar's form evolved into a levitating state, a new eye sprouting at the center of its forehead, moving about restlessly, its fists ablaze with red flames:

"Jek~"

Gengar cackled ominously, vanishing into another space.

Taking the initiative, Azuma raised his hand, a green magic circle glowing around him:

"Raging Buzzing Bee!"

The ground beneath Azuma's feet stirred with green sprouts, rapidly swelling and twisting into a forest of moving trees, crashing like waves towards Gaal and Ur.

Ur stepped forward, placing her right fist on her left palm, targeting the incoming forest:

"Ice Make: Rose Garden!"

The temperature around plummeted, the earth burgeoning with frigid ice, morphing into a sea of ice-white roses, clashing against the advancing forest tsunami.

Boom!

A mighty crash reverberated.

The collision point between the ice-white roses and the surging wave of trees twisted violently.

Crack crack crack—

The cold had begun to influence the surrounding environment, wearing down the towering trees while simultaneously spreading towards the forest, hindering its growth rate.

At this moment, Gaal warned:

"That guy's magic is 'Arc of the Great Tree.' It drains the magic from the earth to create concentrated fruits that can explode. The true source of this magic is the land beneath him."

Ur's expression turned serious upon hearing Gaal:

"Is that so.... And it can explode too."

From afar, Azuma's brow furrowed as he registered Gaal's words, recalling the title bestowed upon him:

"Scholar Gaal.... Damn it."

Realizing this, Azuma ceased his baiting and triggered a magical explosion directly.

Boom boom boom boom—

The icy white rose garden, which had just frozen half the forest waves, shattered into dust under the explosive force.

Azuma's expression darkened as he glanced at Gaal.

Surely this guy wasn't just a scholar, right?

One direction over, Zancrow mockingly remarked upon witnessing all this:

"How pathetic, Azuma. Just watch mine."

Taking a deep breath, Zancrow's voice crazed:

"Wrath of the Fire God!!!"

A roar erupted from his mouth, as an enormous black fireball, compressing an endless sea of black flames, materialized in front of Zancrow, visibly swelling, the atmosphere around quickly scorched, radiating fierce heat.

The massive fireball, filled with black flames, melted everything before it, surging toward Gaal and Ur.

Gaal raised his staff toward the oncoming behemoth, squinting at the towering fireball:

"Reflector - Prism."

A large silver magic circle appeared in front of the magic array.

The colossal fireball collided with the silver magic array.

Boom—

A deafening sound rang out.

Then, gripping his staff with both hands, Gaal redirected to the right.

The silver magic array carried the enormous black fireball, sharply turning to strike at Kain, who was using "Ushi no Koku Mairi."

Alarms blared in Zancrow's head as he saw the incoming magic, jumping up, panicking:

"Hey! Kain, watch it!"

Kain's bulky frame was not clumsy; he quickly pulled out a puppet, weaving his own hair into it:

"Self-Enhancement: Speed."

In the next moment, the immense black flaming fireball struck through, diving deep into the forest.

Boom—!!!

A ferocious explosion erupted, sending a black mushroom cloud soaring dozens of meters into the sky.

Zancrow scratched his ear.

"Huh? Is he dead?"

Kain's form appeared next to Zancrow, unable to hold back his complaints:

"How could that be?"

Zancrow sneered, eying Gaal across the way:

"Reflector magic, huh? Truly my first time seeing that. Interesting, very interesting."

Kain's face darkened as he added:

"Pay attention. If you can get their hair, make sure to give it to me."

Zancrow shot back, unimpressed:

"Who would pay attention to that kind of thing?"

Suddenly, a blinding light erupted ahead as Gaal's voice rang out:

"Stacking Magic: Layered Sunlight Beam."

Swish—

A piercing beam of golden light flashed.

Kain's expression froze as Zancrow vanished, leaving behind a trench that stretched for miles.

Boom!

A huge explosion sounded from afar, followed by Zancrow's furious roar:

"Damn it! Arrow of the Fire God!!!"

A hundred-meter gigantic arrow, ablaze with black flames, surged from the trench, rocketing straight at Gaal.

Without thinking, Kain instinctively pulled out his puppet:

"Self-Enhancement.... Reflector magic - Prism!"

The flaming arrow shot toward Gaal, speeding back even faster after being deflected.

Kain's hairs stood on end, cursing Zancrow in his mind.

Swish!

Vanishing from sight.

The silver magic circle redirected the flaming arrow away from Gaal, who lifted his staff, guiding the silver circle slightly to ensure the black flaming arrow shot towards the end of the trench where Zancrow stood.

Kain paused deep in the forest, sheltering behind a tree while wiping the cold sweat from his brow.

Zancrow's flames were no joke; once ignited, they were impossible to extinguish. It was best to keep a safe distance and provide support instead.

With that thought in mind, Kain retrieved a strand of hair, ready to affix it to the puppet.

His magic required a medium, and that medium was his own hair.

Just as he took out a hair strand to place on the puppet's head for "Self-Enhancement: Light Source Body," it suddenly turned to powder and dissipated.

Kain blinked in surprise:

"Huh?"

Turning his head, he saw no abnormalities around.

He pulled out another hair, preparing to attach it to the puppet's head.

At the top of the trees, Gengar's colossal figure emerged from another space, the third eye on its forehead glimmering, fixating on Kain's hair. As Gengar's gaze gathered, the hair in Kain's hand dissolved into dust again:

"Jek~"

Gengar chuckled mischievously, about to turn invisible.

Kain suddenly looked up:

"Powerful Flying Kick!"

Kicking off the ground, he launched skyward, his magic gathering in his legs, glowing with magic energy, aimed at the treetop Gengar.

Gengar raised its hands, covering its cheeks.

Then....

It made a face and vanished in an instant.

Kain missed, landing where Gengar had just been, seething:

"What the hell was that? A ghost?"

Rustyrose could manifest spirits, but not this kind of entity.

Kain descended, landing in a broad space, pulling out another strand of hair and scanning for any threats, ready to affix it to the puppet.

Gengar reappeared right in front of him:

"Jek, Jek—"

Gengar eyed Kain's hair again before vanishing.

As Kain stared at the emptiness in his fingers, his ashen complexion flushed with rage.

"Damn it! Come out!!! Powerful Flying Kick! Powerful Push! Powerful Impact! Show yourself—!!!!"

For Kain, the magic needed a medium, and without the hair, he could only resort to hitting something hard.

Elsewhere, Rustyrose employed "Arc of Embodiment" magic, observing the chaotic fight between Zancrow and Gaal, as well as between Ur and Azuma, before deciding to focus on Ur.

It seemed this woman would be easier to handle than that little punk.

He didn't want to get burned by Zancrow's God Slayer flames, nor did he possess Kain's speed.

Plus, this woman was a target; neutralizing her would guarantee Hades' appreciation.

Thinking thus, Rustyrose grinned wickedly, raising both hands toward Ur and Azuma.

A rift filled with a deep, sinister energy tore open, exuding a chilling aura:

"Show yourselves! Ghosts of Brittia!!!"

One, two, thousands upon thousands...

Countless white ghosts surged from the rift, like an overwhelming tide, crashing down towards Ur.

Turning around, Ur gasped in shock just as she was about to cast a defensive spell.

Pat pat!

Urshifu interposed before her, nodding towards Ur, then turned to face the menacing throng of ghosts.

A purple light flickered at Urshifu's chest, visibly amplifying its size until it swelled into a twenty-meter tall red-and-white giant beast, its fiery clouds circling around it. Drawing in a deep breath, it aimed forward:

"ROAR—!!!!"

Known as the embodiment of wrath, the colossal form of Gigantamax Urshifu unleashed a terrifying bellow, dispelling all forms of malevolence.

The encroaching tide of white ghosts visibly froze in shock under the impact of that terrifying roar.

They then crumbled like ash, dispersing into nothingness....
