Chapter 50: Chapter 49

Bisky silently observed the tools scattered on the ground.

"These tools all have unique effects. For instance, this Cuckoo Egg," Morin explained, holding it up for her to see. "Its effect is that it makes others perceive me as a family member."

He demonstrated by pointing the egg at Bisky.

A green shimmer swept over her, and immediately, Bisky felt an overwhelming sense of familiarity toward Morin, as though he were her actual family.

The moment Morin put the Cuckoo Egg away, however, Bisky snapped back to her senses.

"A subconscious effect that even Nen can't resist?" she muttered, a trace of unease on her face. "Good thing you didn't do anything else to me. That could've been... dangerous."

Morin, with a subtle smile, thought to himself: You're a bit too self-absorbed, aren't you?

Besides, if he really wanted to try something, it wasn't certain who'd be in more danger.

"Quite a devious tool," Bisky remarked, locking eyes with Morin. "Why didn't you use it on me right away? If you had, I'd have seen you as family and easily taught you about Nen, wouldn't I?"

"That's true," Morin admitted, his tone earnest. "But to me, respect and sincerity are mutual."

Of course, the real reason was that deception wouldn't last forever, and the potential risks were too significant. After careful thought, Morin had decided against it.

Bisky seemed pleased with his response, her expression softening. She then glanced curiously at the tools Morin had put away.

"So your ability lets you manifest tools with unique effects?" she asked. "That fits your conjurer personality quite well."

As she spoke, a thought appeared to excite her. "Do any of your tools include beautiful gemstones?"

"Gemstones?" Morin tilted his head. "Not at the moment."

In Doraemon, gemstone-like tools were rare, and those that did exist often came with negative side effects.

"Ah, no matter," Bisky said, not overly disappointed. "How about anything for skincare or beauty?"

She touched her face with a sigh. "Aging really takes a toll on the skin."

Aging? Morin thought, resisting the urge to roll his eyes. Plenty of women in their teens and twenties would kill for your flawless complexion.

"Skincare tools? None yet," Morin replied with a smile. "But…"

He reached into his arsenal and pulled out something else.

"I do happen to have something that works on age itself."

Among the tools Morin had acquired over the past three days, aside from the Treasure Map Paper, two others had turned out to be unexpectedly powerful.

"This," he said, holding up a vivid red rope, "is the Age Fountain Rope."

The rope was crimson, with a button on each end—one red, the other blue.

Tool: Age Fountain Rope

Effect: Connect the two ends of the rope to form a circle. Pressing the red button produces red water, which increases the drinker's age by one year per cup. Pressing the blue button produces blue water, which decreases the drinker's age by one year per cup.

The ability to freely alter physical age was nothing short of miraculous—a tool that bordered on manipulating the flow of time itself.

Morin reminisced about his childhood when he had wished for a similar tool to skip exams, homework, and parental rules. But as he grew older, he realized that childhood was the happiest, most carefree time of life.

For older adults, though, the blue water's promise of youth was likely irresistible.

Sure enough, as Morin explained the Age Fountain Rope's effect to Bisky, her eyes gleamed with an almost blinding light.

Both Morin and Pakunoda instinctively took a step back, overwhelmed by her sudden intensity.

"You're saying... drinking this can really make me younger?!"

Her voice trembled with emotion, carrying a strange energy that sent shivers down Pakunoda's spine. It was the yearning of a middle-aged woman desperately longing for youth.

"Guaranteed results," Morin said confidently, throwing in a couple of idioms for flair.

"And the effect is permanent, not temporary?" Bisky pressed.

Currently, Bisky maintained her youthful, petite appearance using her Nen ability, Magic Beautician: Cookie-chan. However, this only altered her external appearance—internally, she was still her original, muscular self.

In battle, especially during intense fights, she would inevitably revert to her true form. It was a reality she loathed and a reason she avoided fighting whenever possible.

If the Age Fountain Rope could permanently reverse her age, it would solve her biggest frustration and grant her the youth she'd longed for over the years.
