Chapter 3: 3. A Second Playthrough Should Act Like One – Accelerate! Accelerate Hard!

Aboard the Stellar, in the Captain's Quarters.

Noah looked at the servo-skull floating in the air and calmly asked,

"Can you contact Lady Theodora? I have urgent matters to discuss with her."

Amid mechanical creaks, the servo-skull emitted a voice tinged with static:"Audio-array communication frequency is being jammed… Adjusting settings… Establishing connection… Connection failed..."

The servo-skull fell into a prolonged silence as relays clicked away. Time ticked by, and finally, the skull responded: "Warning: Unknown mutiny detected aboard the ship. For the safety of the family heir, please do not leave the Captain's Quarters!"

"Unknown mutiny?"

Noah seemed to understand. Nono, who wasn't supposed to appear until later in the story, was now showing up early. Something was definitely off.

According to the original plot, a mutiny indeed occurs aboard the ship, and the one leading it would be none other than Voigtvir.

But Noah felt this was unlikely. If Voigtvir had initiated the mutiny, Lady Theodora would undoubtedly return to the Captain's Quarters to ensure her safety.

Since she hadn't returned, there were only two possibilities:

1. Lady Theodora was surrounded by the rebels and unable to escape.

2. Lady Theodora was already dead.

Thus, there was a strong likelihood that this mutiny wasn't solely Voigtvir's doing, if he was involved at all.

As for who else it could be…

Noah stared at the servo-skull in front of him. The answer was self-evident.

Even if Nono showed up earlier than expected, she shouldn't be treated as his ally—after all, he had only just boarded the ship and had no prior interaction with her.

Unless...

Nono, like him, also possessed memories of the "first playthrough."

That would explain why Nono was identified as an ally and why this seemingly random mutiny occurred.

If this was true, then the order for him to stay in the Captain's Quarters likely wasn't issued by Lady Theodora but was instead Nono's own decision to bring him there for protection.

And why protection instead of harm?

On one hand, if Nono wanted to harm him, there was no need to go through all this trouble.

On the other hand, during the first playthrough, Nono had essentially been treated as his "wife." If this Nono had memories of that time, it was unlikely she'd kill him right out of the gate, right?

Clack!

The sound of armored footsteps echoed through the corridor leading to the Captain's Quarters, breaking the room's tense silence.

Noah cautiously drew his plasma pistol, aiming it at the door to the Captain's Quarters.

Before the figure entered, the footsteps stopped. A calm female voice spoke from outside: "Lord Noah, I am Sister Argenta, sent here to ensure your safety."

"Whose orders?"

Noah raised an eyebrow but maintained his caution.

"Lady Theodora's," Sister Argenta replied.

"Come in, then."

With Noah's response, a young, white-haired nun clad in black power armor stepped into the Captain's Quarters, wielding a bolter rifle. The golden fleur-de-lis insignia adorned her armor and weapon.

Just as he remembered, this young nun had a beautiful face. Her dark eyes gleamed as she stared intently at Noah with a fiery gaze.

"What's the situation outside?" Noah asked.

"It's nothing serious. Voigtvir has led a group of heretics in a rebellion. Lady Theodora is personally leading the enforcers to suppress them."

Sister Argenta's expression remained calm, as though this truly was a trivial matter.

Noah maintained his composure, analyzing the situation. He asked: "And Lady Theodora?"

"Before I came here, Lady Theodora was at the observation deck—the heart of the rebellion. So…"

Noah lowered his head in silence, seemingly grieving—though in truth, he wasn't.

Theodora's death was inevitable. If Voigtvir didn't kill her, the Inquisition would, and if the Inquisition didn't, someone else would. As long as Theodora was alive, he, as the designated heir, could never truly become a Rogue Trader.

The answer was clear: Theodora was only useful when dead.

As for why Sister Argenta had shown up here, it certainly wasn't on Theodora's orders. Even if Theodora could command Argenta, her priority would be to protect herself, not him.

The most obvious evidence?

Noah glanced at the party roster, where Sister Argenta's name had suddenly appeared. The silence was deafening.

If he'd only been suspicious before, now he had irrefutable proof: Sister Argenta also retained memories of the first playthrough!

Otherwise, why would she bother protecting a stranger like him? They had no prior interaction whatsoever.

In the game, Noah had pursued the romance route with this nun—even though the base game didn't have it, the mods did.

And Noah wasn't one to refuse—

If Vandire could do it, why couldn't he?

After all, he treated Stellar like a dating sim while playing it. Why not do the same with Warhammer?

Besides, some of the characters he designed… well, they were "a little bit" wife material.

At this thought, Noah felt a sudden pang of guilt—

Could it be that neither Tzeentch nor the Yellow King were watching him, but rather, Slaanesh?

No way, right?

Flirting shouldn't be that big of a deal. The game didn't let him do anything but enjoy a sweet romance.

Was that enough to attract attention?

Never mind. Whatever happens, happens.

Resigned to his fate, Noah looked up at Argenta and asked: "Sister Argenta, Lady Theodora is in combat. I can't hide here like a coward. Will you join me in eradicating the heretics?"

"Of course, Lord Noah. It would be my honor."

Argenta answered without hesitation, though her brow furrowed slightly, as if displeased by him appending "Sister" to her name.

"Then let us fight for the God-Emperor!"

Noah gripped his plasma pistol tightly. His decision to join the battle wasn't because he had a death wish or was emboldened by Argenta's presence. It was practical.

Though Theodora had likely fallen to Tzeentch, Noah, as the dynasty's sole heir, was poised to ascend as a Rogue Trader.

But simply inheriting the position wasn't enough. He needed to earn respect and establish his authority.

He also needed to ensure Theodora's loyalists conveniently perished in this mutiny.

If they didn't, he'd make sure they did.
