chapter 18
18 – Reversal (1)
It was our first weekend in Heoden. Here, except for the three-hour lecture every day, from Monday to Friday, everything is autonomous. In other words, it means that there is nothing particularly busy on a day off. Kite doesn’t send letters well. The last thing I sent was:
「Since you are working hard, I will try to fix it too. But sometimes you can *pig?」
She must have tried to write everything down on a small piece of stationery. The size of the letters on the front and back pages was striking.
Since it was a long-awaited weekend, I wanted to do some hiking and meditation. It was something I often did at Pong. Even here, at the academy, there was a mountain that could be climbed in a canter. I kept running into the northern woods, and after about four hours, I thought I’d be just right.
“Where are you going? Did you read the seal correctly?”
Since the morning, Trey-senpai has been quarreling. Still, I tend to take good care of me these days.
“My senior knows my schedule better.”
“Don’t raise your job, go home quickly.”
I don’t know who Ein Kamphund is, much less know where the address is stamped. The senior gave away her irritation and told her where the annex was in her neutral voice. Seeing that she had to go in for a while even in the dormitory.
“Isn’t this the area where the sons of great nobles live?”
“It’s fortunate that you have that kind of notice. If you understand, don’t procrastinate and start.”
She packed a decent amount of toiletries and went to her bath. Her beard grew a bit. How old am I and already have such a thick beard? I’m already afraid that I’ll become furry like Uncle Yvor. She returned, asked for directions once more, and headed towards the district where the outbuildings were clustered. This was another space inside the protective gear.
“Even after this, equality!”
From our dormitory, the place we reached after walking for half an hour was a real different world. The building was gorgeous enough to be called the villa of nobles, and the landscaping was well done. I want to set up a development prohibited area, and shamelessly built all of this.
“What are you here for?”
A man who looked like the manager of the mansion to anyone’s eyes asked a question.
“I’ve been looking for Baron Hardt in Ein Kamphund.”
Let’s say it lightly, he asks if he has a reservation. Deman von Pong. When I tell him that I have received the seal, he nods and guides me to the largest of the many mansions.
When I opened the door, the maids were full. The corridors, as well as the courtyard, were decorated cleanly, leaving your mouth open. It is said that Heoden was built with the contributions of rich nobles, so it must be true.
“Who are you looking for?”
“Ein Kamphund.”
A woman who looks like a maid, she is surprised and tells the owner. I was called to a drawing room or a tea room. He nodded, saying that if he was sitting here, he would come out soon. She asked what kind of tea the younger maid likes.
“Whatever, it doesn’t matter.”
Soon, green tea and Baumkuchen were served. Both are beyond high-end, top-notch. If Kite ate it, she would scream that it was delicious. Swallowing food down my throat, I felt myself getting f*cked. Since I don’t have contact with aristocrats who can enjoy such a luxurious life, the one who called me must be.
“As expected.”
It was Perku Dai Frau.
“You look very happy, right?”
Looking at her carefree attitude and the majesty of this mansion, she was unmistakably the daughter of a powerful man. She doesn’t know who she really is, but she just bows her head to show that she won’t go against it. I don’t want to fight more and make things worse.
“Baumkuchen, can I buy this?”
I was about to ask if it would work, but I managed to keep my pride.
“Do you know who I am?”
“I don’t know.”
“How old is this baby, how rural?”
Her guards around her opened their eyes more than her. At this point, I should have stepped back, but I was about to let out my temper.
After all, if she is that good, why don’t you reveal her identity and ask her to show the right attitude? Instead of answering, I took care of the Baumkuchen and asked the maid to wrap it.
“I know what a noble noble you are.”
Perku Dai Frau looked at me intently. Somehow, I liked it much more than Rita-senpai’s eyes.
“If you entered here, you shouldn’t think of being treated like a noble lady. If you really have to, I’ll get down on my knees.”
Fishik, she laughed, but anger and strife erupted from her side.
“Yes, this guy is rude!”
“How dare you say such nonsense in front of the princess?”
─You mean royalty?
“All right, everyone go away. Anyway, I also entered Heoden. All cadets here are equal. No?”
I got down on my knees right away. No matter how ignorant and stubborn I am, I’m not an idiot enough to stretch out at times like this.
“What are you doing?”
“No, I just got my knees on the ground…… Yo. This.”
Ein Kamphunt. I’ve never heard of such a name. Baron Hart. I have no idea. No matter how old I am, I don’t even know the name of the royal family. I know roughly the names of the five princes and two princesses, starting with the crown prince. However.
“Because she is a princess, her power might have seemed light. Anyway, everyone goes out. We have a story to tell just the two of us. Oh, there Robland. Also bring two wooden swords and two pairs of leather gloves from my arsenal. No, if you bring it, bring it. What are you talking about? Also, do you want to hear nagging from the maids because I was squeamish?”
I don’t know if it’s a threat or a solicitation. While I was kneeling on the floor, a maid approached me. Shall we tie a ribbon to the packaging of the Baumkuchen? When asked, she said that it was okay, so let’s do whatever we want.
“Wake up.”
“Hey, what should I call it?”
“Perku Die Frauzi. I hate the name Ein Kamphund, too.”
It’s stupid, it’s funny, it doesn’t fit.
“No, Princess, is that a very cool name that suits you well?”
“Your bastard’s tone is like sh*t. Shall we really blow it up and pull out all the corn?”
─Can you contact me?
No, if you think about it, what did I do wrong? Heoden’s cadets are all equal, equal enough to keep a mansion like this and so many hirelings apart, so Cevaal is doomed. Somehow, I wondered why no one went against it. The student council members, Trey and Rita, must have known everything, but did they pretend they didn’t know?
“I, no, I am.”
“You’re annoying. Hey, wake up?”
“Oh, four!”
I got up right away and gave a salute without even realizing it. Taller than expected It comes up to my chin. The princess came close enough to touch her breath and touched my body without permission.
“Are you going to fight?”
Are you mumbling, tap your stomach. Cool, I pretended to be sick on purpose.
“You have enough muscles. I know you have a temper to the point of being angry with me, but you have that kind of skill.”
“I don’t even know!”
His discipline is upright, and his face frowns even more when he shouts like that. Absolutely, it’s an expression of disgust.
“If you speak respectfully from now on, I will really kill you, so do it in short language. Whenever you say you’re equal, you’re an asshole.”
—I just have to shut up.
“I don’t need anything else, just stick with it.”
If you win in sparring, I’ll let you go. I wanted to ask what would happen if I lost, but I thought it would be better not to ask.
“If you win, everything will be put on fire, right?”
“Yes, you little bastard. I’ll take the leftover food and let you go.”
b*tch, you talk so damn pretty. Mash the thrush with a wooden sword, my damn princess. That’s not what I was thinking. It was done by Deman von Pong. I’m cancer Like a dog, I’ll take good food and go.
“By the way, do you have anything to ask me?”
Nodded.
“That’s strange. If I had known I was a princess, I would have asked many questions, but none of them. Everyone begged for it, but if it was that kind of guy, I wouldn’t have been so upset. Hey Deman von Pong. The illegitimate son of Ruben de Norden.”
“Yes, that is me.”
“f*ck, I told you not to say honorifics. Are you going to come to your senses if you get hit so f*cking hard?”
“I’m sorry.”
“I don’t like this bastard. You’re doing this on purpose to scratch me. It’s really, really bad luck.”
“You must be wrong.”
“Ugh, I want to be a b*tch. Hey, wear a wooden sword and gloves when they come in. Let’s start right away.”
─Forgive me.
“If I win, will you let me go?”
“Have you lived only by being deceived? Don’t you know what happens when the royal family doesn’t take responsibility for their words?”
“I don’t know, no I don’t know.”
“Nothing’s wrong, bastard. You’re called again and you’re f*cking beaten by me. Isn’t it obvious?”
The way he speaks is dirty enough to make me wonder if he’s a woman. Well, it feels like I’m facing old Ivor’s gang. How can a person like this kind of barber, who speaks like a man, even more so, be a princess? She’s freaking out
If you want to ask right now, I have it. Anyway, what is Bernhard? Why did you come here If it is a real princess, is it a direct descendant or a collateral descendant of the grand duke?
“Princess!”
“Since you are a princess, when will you continue to be called a princess?”
I heard the door open. A wooden sword and two gloves were thrown out, but none of the employees entered.
“Listen.”
“Are you really going to do it?”
“Even gloves. Don’t make excuses after losing.”
“You can solve it with words. There seems to be a misunderstanding, but we should talk first.”
“Hayden Academy Rules, Article 4, Article 8.”
Throws the booklet on the bedside table at me. Reading the text below, it is clear that in case of a dispute between siblings, the party who has lost honor can apply for a ‘duel’. This is a legitimate right, and once the consent of both parties is established, it is the beginning.
“I didn’t agree?”
“I agreed, you bastard.”
The chairs in the room are knocked over one after another to create a space where they can point their knives at each other. Very barbaric, but rather comfortable. If it’s a formal duel, you can win. He would be stigmatized for punching the princess, but this was justified.
─You crazy bastard, you just have to lose.
“What if I lose?”
“It’s funny that you thought you would beat me.”
I was sarcastically asking if he could defeat him with swordsmanship, but he said he thought there should be at least a safety device.
“I don’t fight with women.”
“What?”
His expression became more stern than before. Something like steam rises from his back, and he shouts at once. She was ignoring that she was a woman. She had to say yes or no. It was not possible to injure the body of the royal family and receive unexpected punishment.
“Then, you can’t fight with a weapon.”
Ein Kamphund put the leather gloves in front of him up to his fingertips and said.
“Come on.”
I also put down my wooden sword. She put on her leather gloves, which were kept warm, and crossed guards as she practiced her taijutsu. The princess laughed. It was a happy expression. Sharp fangs were exposed, and passion as big as the flames of Enboza Menci shimmered in his eyes.
“I will never look at you, so don’t cry after being hit.”
