North of Divine Dragon Island—The swarm of snakes were still gathered on the northern shore.

Meanwhile, Wang Ke and the Demon Sovereign stood on the Snake King's head.

"Contraband items?" The Snake King was in a daze.

"Why? Are you trying to argue? It took me so much effort to convince my boss and clear you of any guilt on the matter! Do you want to explain things to my boss on your own?" Wang Ke shot the snake a stare.

The Snake King's face froze. "No, no. There's no need; just let it be!"

"And another thing: stay low! You went around robbing others, and everyone heard about it. Can't you move on your own and do it in secret? Do you know how many out there are jealous of you? Do you know how many accusations about your actions have been sent to my boss? Had I not realized it in time and asked my boss to come personally to interrogate you, it wouldn’t have been us but a bunch of demonic disciples instead. By then, not just the possessions you plundered, even you and your snake babies would be overthrown in one go!" said Wang Ke with a stare.

The Snake King was shocked. I… Everyone knows about it?

"Humph. You must learn to be more careful! Now go back!" Wang Ke sighed, then moved closer to where the Demon Sovereign was. The Snake King returned to the north shore and started organizing his snake underlings to send the Demon Sovereign off.

The latter turned around and looked at the distant shore. It felt so bizarre when she saw that all the snakes were sending her off respectfully.

"Okay, let's descend the mountain quickly. We have an hour to reach Zhu Hongyi's palace; we’ll be safe there!" Wang Ke explained.

Wang Ke found a place by the foot of the mountain. Long Yu then took off her mask and black robe, revealing her white dress and straight hair, glowing in beauty.

"Time is short, and you’re too slow. We can get away faster this way!" Wang Ke explained. Long Yu frowned a little but didn’t object.

"Didn't we have an agreement? Whatever treasures were inside the snake den, you would get two-tenths. Your act was on point today! You deserve it! Although I'm frugal, I will never delay my worker's pay!" Wang Ke explained.

Long Yu was perplexed; it was her first time getting a salary. Why does it feel so strange?
