Interlude: Terra – Mother Nature
"So, this is it, huh?", a booming voice grumbled, "No more fun for me."
"Quite correct, reptile.", another laughed, "You managed to get yourself outdone~! What a fantastic ending!"
In the very center of Earth, two beings sat as their mind slowly crumbled away, merging into one.
One is a giant Black Dragon with eight limbs lying down, four arms, two legs, and a pair of wings, it lazily curls up and stares at the person opposite of it beyond the veil it wears. Tiamat Abzu the Black Dragon of Conflict.
That person took the form of a black primate covered in burning fur with a long tail wagging left and right, sitting down with their legs crossed. Their eyes are a burning crimson glow. Crackling in joy of the Black Dragon's blunder. Theia Khaos the Primate of Destruction.
"This is what The Pale Court hoped for, isn't it?", Theia laughed, staring at Tiamat.
"For Life to Surpass the World? Yes, but that doesn't mean I would like it!! THAT CUNT CHEATED!!!", the Black Dragon screamed, roaring at the monkey the size of its claw.
"Loser~!! Hehehehe... so, when will the new us wake up?", the monkey tilts its head and rocking left and right.
Tiamat screamed in frustration, "ARRGGGHHH!! I don't fucking know, that cunt used something made by one of those Star fuckers Dad hang out with!! So two thousand years? Three? This is the first time I'm going to SLEEP ever since I gained consciousness!! I'm going to miss out a fuck load of content!!"
"And too bad, you are going to miss our destruction.", Theia bloomed a sinister smile, "The four—"
"Three.", Tiamat cut them off, "One died in a ditch so only three remaining."
The Primate went silent, their tail stood still, and they gauged the expression of the faceless dragon... it was useless.
"Damn, but alas, that is only a minor setback—"
"There are currently six Juries on Earth and the remaining fifty-eight Juries in the Garden.", the Dragon smirked, "I know they hate me, but think about it, would they want their World, me, to be destroyed over some fucking monkeys?"
"...", they just stare at each other, even if one of them is missing eyes.
"You really planned for everything.", Theia broke the silence.
"Apparently not enough!! How the fuck am I supposed to know that cunt chose mutual destruction when backed into a corner?!", Tiamat spat.
"Couldn't you have guessed that from the eon of observation~?", Theia teased, "In this system of take and take, a cycle of violence, couldn't you think of what type of creatures this would produce?"
They stood up, facing the Dragon with a smile.
"I may have been stuck on the Moon for over three billion years, but I am still a part of this World~ the moment I connected with a large chunk of myself in Africa, I learned all of the history that Life on this body of ours experienced."
They raised two hands in front of Tiamat, "The weak and the brave dies, the strong and the coward survives. That one has both elements of the strong and the coward. What does a coward do when there is no way to escape?"
"Ah fuck these twisty riddles.", Tiamat grumbled, "I know, I know. I should've fucking seen it sooner, backed into a corner, with that cunt's petty and violent tendency... I should've planned better!!"
"Hehe... so what is going to happen to us once we merge?", they look at their hand, slowly fading away.
"I don't fucking know! I was just winging it when I ate you!! It was a desperate situation!!", Tiamat screamed in frustration, "Hah... whatever comes after, comes. I don't give a shit anymore."
Tiamat curled up, looking away from Theia.
"There is nothing I could do except hope for those four— ehem, those three to make their moves.", the Primate looked at the Dragon, tilting their head, "I have something to ask, reptile.", Theia began to question, their voice carrying a sense of confusion, "You don't care about what will happen to humanity, no, you seem like you don't care about humanity at all, but I want to know something."
"You have the capability to make life start over from the beginning, to remove my essence from our body, The Pale Court won't do anything against it, Dad is just that kind, why didn't you?"
Tiamat raised its head, "We are directly connected to each other now, you already know the reason."
With a bit of thinking, Theia shrugged with a smile, "True."
"There is a reason why I didn't take back that piece of myself from Akasha." it huffed in annoyance then laid down once again.
Their conversation fell into silence for a while, with Theia wagging their tail around playfully while Tiamat rolled around on the ground. They only have each other, the person they hated the most.
"How about we make peace with each other?", Theia suddenly spoke.
Tiamat stares at the hand, then at the Theia. There was another moment of silence between them, looking into each other's minds as they were connected.
A conflict over 3 billion years from those 13 hours.
A disdain for each other for the majority of their existence.
A game where there is only one winner time and time again.
Can eons of hatred end like this? For the two parts of the World to hold each other's hands and make peace? To acknowledge one another with no hate involved?
The answer...
"Fuck no, why would I ever want to make PEACE with YOU specifically!? YOU tried to fuck me and the entire system over by SUMMONING THE ORIGINAL ONE!!!"
Theia burst out in laughter, "Hehehe~!! Aww, I thought you would fall for that~ you stupid lizard! THIS HATRED FOR YOU WILL NEVER BE QUENCH!!!"
Their crimson eyes glow bright with hate, "I hope Terra will be a self-destructive bitch!! So when we awaken again, WE WILL IMPLODE!!!"
"Bitch, I am the dominant personality! There is no chance I will end myself!!"
"You can never tell~"
As the two Egos of Earth kept on bickering, a black embryo was forming somewhere else...
Eventually, Tiamat and Theia would cease to exist, their Minds would merge into one and birth an entirely new Ego in the far future.
Terra, the Ego of Earth.
