Invincible System in ATG

You’re not worthy….

Cang Yue anxiously darted to her father's chamber.

(Royal Chamber)

An old man was resting on the bed who seemed to be about 70 years but is actually only 64 years. His body looked so weak and fragile as if he was undernourished for many years. He was the Emperor of the Blue Wind Empire.

Emperor Cang Wanhe, was in good health until he suddenly fell sick and could not recover. He was diagnosed by Gu Qiuhong to have many hidden ailments due to overwork and damaged life veins.

He only expected to live five more years at most. The emperor's declining health caused a power struggle for succession between Crown Prince Cang Lin and Third Prince Cang Shuo. Only his daughter, Cang Yue, remained loyal to him.

He was extremely disturbed at the two princes for acquiring power from Xiao Sect and the Burning Heaven Clan in their power struggle as this would decrease the power and influence of the Blue Wind Imperial Family.

Hearing the footsteps approaching him, the old man couldn't even force his eyes open and called out.

"Cang Yue, You've come! We have been waiting for your arrival for a long time" spoke Cang Wanhe in a hoarse voice with his face exhibiting a blend of delight and relief that could be clearly seen on his pale face.

"Yes, father" Cang Yue bowed to her father with tears welling up in her eyes but she hastily wiped them off not wanting her father to notice them.

Her father's shape became much more critical than the previous visit. And it ached her heart.

Cang Wahne with Cang Yue's help tried to make himself sit up. After sitting up, Cang Wanhe weakly opened his eyes and glanced at Cang Yue and gave a nod.

"Cang Yue, you've grown up. Seems like you've been through a lot since the last time we've seen you." As an Emperor, Cang Wanhe's eyes were very sharp and he could easily point out the differences from the previous Cang Yue.

Before the one who looked very sweet and tender now had an ethereal temperament and something in him said that she completely transformed from what she had been.

Cang Yue sat down beside her father and described the entire incident saving for some important points here and there.

"Hmm... May we take a look at this Yun Che you talk about?" asked Cang Wanhe curiously.

His daughter has been bestowed with Monarch Heart Secret Art which was passed down for many generations in the Imperial family and the emperor was also assured of his daughter's choice. He craved to meet his supposed son-in-law soon.

Cang Yue's face instantly flushed. She could figure out why her father wanted to meet Yun Che. She understood her father the most.

"T-that-t ..." She stammered.

"Sigh! Looks like you haven't exposed your feelings to him yet. Don't delay it. We want to play with our grandchild soon..." Cang Wanhe moved his hands visualizing a child in his hands and had a dejected look as he said that.

Looking at Cang Yue whose former calm temperament vanished and her face ripening like a red tomato, Cang Wanhe verified his findings and a smile surfaced on his aged face. He just teased his daughter and was satisfied.

The harmonious scene came to a standstill when the door to the throne room was suddenly forcibly opened.

Cang Shuo, the Third Prince came into the room with his eyebrows pulled closer together, eyelids squinted and lips curled inwards.

Third Prince Cang Shuo had ambitions for the throne for a very long time. He competed against Crown Prince Cang Lin openly after Emperor Cang Wanhe fell gravely ill. He was supported by the Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Prince.

Crown Prince Cang Lin borrowed the power of the Xiao Sect in order to suppress the Third Prince. As a counter, the Third Price allied with the Burning Heaven Clan.

One of the reasons Burning Heaven Clan supported Cang Shuo was due to Burning Heaven Clan Young Master Fen Juecheng. Fen Juecheng wanted to marry Prince Cang Yue and Third Prince Cang Shuo would regularly invite Fen Juecheng to the imperial palace so that Fen Juecheng can meet Cang Yue.

Crown Prince Cang Lin and Third Prince Cang Shuo had many spies spread around the Palace. When they pointed Cang Yue appearing together with a man of unknown origin, rumors began to spring up and they quickly notified their respective sides.

Cang Shuo was infuriated by hearing it and swiftly came to ask Cang Yue to stop whatever is happening between them. He can't allow this piece of news to reach Fen Jecheng's ears and to nullify his support. He was scared of that.

"Royal Sister, Fen Juecheng was asking for you all these days. He wanted me to let him know about your arrival and wanted to meet you soon. I will arrange a place for the two love birds to meet up for a while." Disseminating his previous anger, Cang Shuo said with a smirk.

Cang Shuo knew the ways to make Cang Yue offended. He was waiting for Cang Yue's outburst but all he received was a fierce glare which made his body quiver in fear. He couldn't believe this was his same Royal Sister who was always very docile not long back.

"Royal Sister, Can I know the.... person who arrived with you?" asked Cang Shuo choosing his words wisely. He was about to call Yun Che something but stopped himself in the midway as he felt Cang Yue's glare intensify.

"You're not worthy..." Cang Yue's bearing took a 180-degree turn from earlier. The aura which she now emitted sent chills through Cang Shuo's spine.

"I'm your brother and I have the right to know about your well-being," said Cang Shuo proudly as if it was an accomplishment.

"I am ashamed to be called Sister from you who would trade his 'dear' sister for his own selfish desires" Cang Yue deadpanned with a mocking smile plastered on her face as she looked at her fellow Royal Brother.

The words that came out of Cang Yue were a tight slap for Cang Shuo. His face turned red with anger but he had no way to refute Cang Yue.

'Something is definitely not right!' Cang Shuo gritted his teeth and quickly went back to the way he came from.

Cang Shuo then sent information to Fen Juecheng stating that Cang Yue fell in love with someone before the latter received any rumors. He wanted to be on the good side of the Burning Heaven Clan.

Receiving the letter, Fen Juecheng scowled and made his preparations to head to the Blue Wind Palace. He wanted to exert his dominance over Cang Yue and make their relationship public.

(Night Time)

After Cang Shuo left, Cang Yue returned to her usual demeanor and continued to talk with her father.

Cang Wanhe felt better as time passed and he soon dozed off. Covering him with the blanket, Cang Yue took her leave.

Walking on the veranda, she continued to ponder on what her father said about expressing her feelings to Yun Che and blushed. Settling all those thoughts at the back of her back, she slowly walked to the room Yun Che currently is staying in.

Just as Cang Yue was about to open the door, the door opened by itself.

Yun Che had just woken up from his nap and planned to head out. Opening the door, Cang Yue's figure revealed before himself with a smile.

"Brother Che, I want to tell you a thing," said Cang Yue solemnly.

Cang Yue decided to disclose her identity as a princess now.
