Isekai Hotel

Chapter 61 – Yuki.

Nahida returned to his hotel to start preparing for the opening of his market. He first wrote down everything he was going to sell because he needed to get suppliers.

Of course, Nahida asked Rimuru for financial help to start his business, as he needed money to pay the suppliers. Rimuru gave him a large amount of money.

"Also, Rimuru has already started building the market. It will be a market made entirely of wood, unlike the markets in Japan. There are many wooden houses here, but the convenience stores like 7-Eleven are made of bricks."

Building using bricks and concrete would be very difficult and time-consuming.

"Should I ask the manager of the convenience store for help?" The convenience store manager would undoubtedly have contacts for suppliers, especially if you consider that the store close to Nahida's hotel doesn't belong to a famous company.

"After the building is built and I've dealt with the suppliers, I should hire someone to look after the market. Probably monsters since the first market will be in Tempest."

"What are you writing there, Nahida?" Nazuna approached.

"I plan to open a market in Tempest to sell things from my world. I'm writing down everything I need to do." Nahida showed Nazuna his notebook.

"You've just started writing everything down, haven't you?"

"I'm getting old. I'd better write everything down, or I might forget."

"Hahaha. But that's a good idea, this idea of building a market. Do you intend to sell those protections you told me about?"

"Condoms? Probably. I intend to sell everything. Cleaning products, drinks, sweets, snacks, food, condoms, and all sorts of things that sell in my world."

"That's sure to be a success. But won't it be difficult to explain everything? People in my world might be scared of these unknown things. Especially the church."

"I'm a bit worried about that too. But I need the money, so... In the worst case, Rimuru will handle everything."

"Rimuru-sama is certainly strong, but..."

Nahida smiled at Nazuna and calmed her down. He was sure that everything would be fine.

As soon as he had finished writing down everything he wanted to sell (not everything, as there were too many things), Nahida went to the convenience store opposite the hotel. He left Nazuna to look after the hotel alone.

When he arrived at the convenience store, the man behind the counter greeted him.

The man there wasn't the manager. He was just an employee. Only two employees work in that store: the man at the counter and the manager who owns the store.

The man across from Nahida also restocked shelves and took care of cleaning. He was paid much more than normal because of this.

"Excuse me, is Mr. Matsunada here?" Nahida asked. Matsunada was the store's owner and one of Nahida's other neighbors. The man at the counter smiled and answered Nahida.

"He left this morning and doesn't intend to return until evening. I'll look after the store all day by myself. Well, that's usually what happens..." The man called Yuki ran the store on his own almost every day.

He was also one of the only people who had seen everything strange that was going on in Nahida's hotel since he was there all day. As the store had large glass windows, he could see everything.

He saw the changes in the hotel, and he also saw Rimuru when Nahida opened the door so that Rimuru could see outside. And Yuki knew Rimuru, as he was also an otaku like Nahida. Despite being curious, Yuki never went to the hotel. He had a very anti-social personality.

And also because he wasn't sure what he had seen. He wanted to ask Nahida but was too nervous to do so. They had never appropriately talked. He dared not ask about Nahida's hotel.

"I see. Can you leave him a message? I want him to give me the contact details of all his suppliers."

"Hm? His suppliers?" Yuki fiddled with his long bangs that covered his eyes. He was surprised. Nahida intended to open a convenience store there?! There was no point in doing that.

That store already didn't get many customers because of its location; putting another store there could...

"But don't worry, I don't want to put a store here. I'll open it somewhere else."

"Somewhere else? Are you planning to move?"

"That's not it. I'm going to carry on living here, but I'm going to put the store somewhere else. Probably in a big city." Nahida meant Tempest, but he said it that way to make Yuki think he was talking about Tokyo or another big city.

"I see." Yuki sighed with relief. "Do you want me to tell him to come to your hotel when he arrives?"

"No need, just send me a message." Nahida passed his contact details to Yuki.

"That's fine. Your name is Nahida, right?"

"That's right. And yours is Yuki. We never talk much, do we? It's a pleasure."

"It's a pleasure." Yuki smiled embarrassedly. He didn't have any social skills.

"Well, I need to get back now. I need to take care of the land and the construction of the market."

"So it's a market, not a convenience store?"

"That's right."

"But wouldn't it be better if you rented it? Building everything from scratch can be a bit expensive."

"Don't worry, I've already dealt with that."

"I see..." Yuki smiled bitterly.

Nahida then said goodbye and went back to his hotel. He went to Tempest to look and saw that everything was going well. It wouldn't be long before the market was ready. Nahida then went back to his hotel and stayed there until the evening.

Rias arrived for work, Nahida received a message from Yuki, and then Rudeus arrived at the hotel before Nahida could leave to meet the convenience store manager.

And so we come to the present moment.
