Isn’t the wannabe Villain too cute?

His taste in women!

Smiling while gawking at the device which the system provided him, was the blond-haired youth who was the hot topic of conversation in the kingdom these days.

It's been two days since the memorable brawl between Charles and Austin took place and resulted in something which no one even dared to think of as a possibility.

After the shocking announcement Charles made about the engagement of Venessa and Austin, he disappeared in thin air before anyone could have objected to his decision.

Austin simply did not consent to the announcement, as in his heart there was only one woman, and the thought of having multiple wives didn't give him a good vibe.

But what he was completely unaware about, was that the woman he confessed his love to almost a week ago, would never even entertain the idea of Austin having a harem in the first place.

Until he was oblivious about that side of hers, he made a mental note to not think anything otherwise and focus on his single goal at the moment.

And that was to meet Luna.

His anxiety slightly increased when he received a mana mail from Luna which had mere three lines written in it, but it was enough for him to assume what Luna meant by those words.

So after that, he made a quick plan and the first step was for him to get involved with the northern kingdom as soon as possible.

"Ah, she looks so peaceful."

Currently, he was looking contently at the girl who by appearance looked to be in her late teens even though her skin was pale and her body mostly looked malnourished.

Strangely, after the duel ended Austin saw that the weekly requirement of his Villain's point was not only fulfilled but also, because of the heavy surplus, Austin was gifted with Mystic Ranked Artifact.

Since he didn't have the option to study any of the artifacts right at the moment due to the unavailability of the test subjects, he decided to postpone the idea.

Now he had almost two days before the Weekly Requirement resets, and more than nine days for him to attain the points so he could help his dear sister.

'Hmmm?'

Suddenly he heard a pair of footsteps approaching his room before he unhurriedly put the Tablet back in the inventory.

**Knock* *Knock**

Knowing full well who this person was, given the unique mana signature that she was emitting due to any overwhelming emotion of hers, Austin sighed in weariness.

Walking at a steady pace towards the door, Austin heaved a sigh again as he finally opened the door, his eyes landed on the pair of amber orbs of a particular woman.

It was none other than the prideful warrior of the Hero's Party, Venessa Charles who currently had a very complicated look on her face.

Austin stared at her with an expressionless face, and he was patiently waiting for her to speak about the purpose of her visit, but he more or less had a hunch regarding what it was.

Vanessa first glared at Austin due to his lack of etiquette, but soon she came back to herself and said in a heavy yet embarrassed tone.

"Can I come in? I have to talk about something."

She said in a voice that told that she was secretly doing all these which led Austin to ask his first query.

"You got your permission from your Hero-sama, to come here?

Without any particular kind of emotion blended in his voice unlike in the past when he spoke with a shrill tone that majorly irritated Venessa, he clearly spoke what was on his mind which made the latter mentioned glare at him even more intently.

"Do I look like a dog leashed to anyone? I love Kyouki-san but I am not a slave of him."

The grumble of Venessa didn't affect Austin as he continued staring at the girl while waiting for the conversation to end so he could enjoy the memories of Luna in solitary.

Vanessa finally understood that it was impossible to pursue the current Austin who has changed completely, from the previous arrogant bastard to someone fearsome and cold. So in defeat, she finally sighed heavily as she calmed her anxious mind.

Turning her eyes gentler than before she asked him politely this time.

"Can you please spare some of your time? I need to clear out something."

Vanessa respects strong people. Even though she wasn't applying such a principle of hers to Austin who still had her doubts, she wasn't foolish enough to dare shout at him.

Austin contemplated for a second and soon affirmed that indeed he also needs to be cleared out of this whole engagement situation before he leaves Gram, so with a nod he gave Venessa permission to enter inside.

Venessa sighed in relief and tried to enter his dorm room but before she could even land her single foot, suddenly a strange spell activated and because of its glow that blinded her vision she was forced to shut her eyes.

"Huh?"

**BOOOOOM**

A heavy explosion-like sound erupted where Venessa was standing before she was sent flying back into the corridor like a broken kite.

Austin's eyes went wide as for the first time he saw such an advanced magic circle, not to talk about, it was conjured in his own room!

He instantly darted to the place where Venessa hit her back before he knelt down beside her.

Without any word of concern, he decided to change their locations as it was better than trespassing the spell which was strangely placed on his doorstep without his awareness.

"Let's go to a different place. I don't think it's safe to talk in my room."

Saying so he held Venenssa's right hand before he pulled her up.

The receiver of such a terrifying blow, became senseless enough that she never realized it when she nodded to Austin's proposal and started to follow him too.

On the way to the place where Austin decided to have a chat with the amber-haired girl, he was continuously contemplating who possibly could have managed to build such a high-level spell without him noticing.

And in the first place, was there anyone around him who had such a level of skills that could deceive Austin's heightened senses?

There were only two people he knew and his mind was leaning upon a certain someone, really bad.

'Well, I will ask her the next time we meet.'

A smile was brought up on Austin's face as he walked toward the library with Venessa at his left.

When the red-headed beauty saw him smiling with such a gentle expression, for a second she became curious to ask what he was thinking. But as soon as the thought came, it also went away in an instant.

'Seriously what even am I thinking...'

Reprimanding herself, Venessa followed the blonde haired man towards the direction of the public library which was nearer than the central library built inside the school premise.

The unmatched duo naturally attracted many gazes as the rumors flared even more, with Venessa's engagement with Austin as the major backing of those baseless chatters.

Neither Austin nor Venessa heed a single mind about such rumors as they finally arrived at a place that was far from reception and was quite empty.

Soon both of them were seated while facing each other as Austin stared at Venessa solemnly, waiting to hear the words which were prolonged for so long.

Vanessa looked at the blond man's aloof approach towards the matter so she decided to end it as soon as possible.

Crossing her arms under her bosom which mostly gets covered by the armor she wears, was now giving away the completely healthy texture of her round breast.

Her figure indeed was a waste being hidden, given the sinful body she carries but Austin's interest in her body was completely negligible.

It wasn't because it was Venessa in front that he wasn't looking at her immoderately. For Austin, the only person he could enrage his lust with, was now thousands of miles away from him. And if not here, Austin had enough willpower to restrain himself.

"The announcement which my papa made after the event, don't take it seriously. I can't be with anyone except for Kyouki-san in this life so sorry but I am breaking the engagement."

Confessed honestly was the young beauty, as she expected even a slight change of expression from Austin. But to her utter perplexion, he just nodded like he actually wasn't able to hear it at all.

With wide-eyes, Venessa again reaffirmed so she doesn't leave any doubts behind.

"You heard me correctly right? I can't get engaged with you, since I love Kyouki-san."

Repeating the same thing Austin nodded twice this time, completely signifying that he heard her correctly and accurately.

But his actions slightly made the woman who indirectly got rejected so front-on, pissed enough that she extended the conversation which she planned to end at this point.

"You don't really care or you are just pretending to be calm?"

Since Venessa knew how perverted Austin was in the past, the thought of him leaving her without any complaint bothered her.

She never compared her beauty to Luna and Sicily since she knew how above they were in the field of appearance. But it doesn't mean, Venessa was under-evaluating herself.

She also received a dozen proposals in the past which she flatly rejected, so getting the same treatment for the first time from Austin that she used for the men in the past, made her quite unsettled.

On the other hand, Austin felt that the conversation was leading needlessly but from the teachings of his sensei, he has resolved to not let the matter get over him, so he decided to better resolve it here, right now.

"Two things, which made me accept this annulment of baseless engagement, without a single ounce of worry. First, I am already into someone. And second, you are not my type."

Thick veins popped on Venessa's forehead as she heard the second reasoning of Austin, as her womanly instincts flared in an instant.

Her aura started getting shrouded by her thick mana, as she glared daggers at Austin before a heavy voice leaked in between her gritted teeth.

"Say that again!"

Being glared like that, or feeling the heavy mana approaching him, Austin felt....nothing more than tickles.

Knowing full well what Venessa warned him to repeat, Austin rested his chin on his intervened fingers, before his cold eyes stared into the very soul of Venessa, as he spoke in a life-threatening tone.

"I said. You. Are. Not. My. Type. Since I know you heard me, get lost."

Feeling death scythe nearing her nape as a quick memory of the battle arena flashed in her mind, she retracted her aura and stood up in a fluster.

Turning on her heel, she hid her face as a low yet audible plea left her lips before she dashed away from the sight.

"I am sorry for troubling you."

At the same time when Venessa went to meet Austin, a raven-haired handsome youth was swinging his blade alone in a garden-like background.

His thick veins which were protruding at different spots of his lean yet sturdy arms, coupled with the bare shredded upper body he was exposing could have made various maiden collapse because of blood loss.

It was not only today, but Kyouki has increased his training since the day he faced the slap of reality of where he stands.

But this was still far from enough...

He hasn't gone to lairs until now because of the absence of a healer from the team, which was making Kyouki anxious day after day. He knew Venessa and Lilia never said anything but just like Sicily, they were equally concerned about the future.

'Where are you, Luna....'

Suddenly Kyouki's senses received someone approaching him from behind. He didn't have to turn around to see the person as a familiar yet irritating voice reached his auditories.

"Isn't it the Hero-sama? Quite surprising to see you hyped up this early in the morning."

Spoke in a flat yet flowery tone, was the youngest court magician of the Gram Empire, Alex Nuèye.

"You need me for something?".

Kyouki without pausing his swings spoke in a clear tone.

A wide grin formed on Alex's lips as he spoke something which made the previously solemn expression on the hero's face interchange with complete shock.

"It's about Luna-sama~"

Only a mere four-worded sentence left Alex's mouth before a huge gust of wind erupted from Kyouki's blade as he turned on his feet toward the unbothered Alex.

Pointing his tip right in the middle of the bespectacled Mage's eyes, Kyouki's aura changed significantly as a heavy voice leaked from him.

"What do you know about her?"

Alex, who even after being at the end point of the legendary sword, was smiling playfully as he spoke without minding the rudeness at all.

"Well, I heard from the boy's dorm that someone would be using the teleportation portal this upcoming Weekend. I thought you might find your destination if you sail the unknown ship too."

Alex turned on his feet and before the baffled hero could have asked something, Alex already began to respond to it.

"Don't ask me how I found such information. We both have our secrets, after all."

Saying so Alex started stepping on the fresh grass as his feet moved forward with a satisfactory smile on his face.

Alex only walked some steps after he spoke the parting words, but suddenly the pleading voice from his back halted Alex's steps.

"Why did you help me?"

Hearing such a question from him, Alex couldn't help but sigh indifferently. He then turned and looked over his shoulder towards the perplexed hero as he quelled the hero's worries and concluded the conversation too.

"I am not helping you Kyouki, but the Hero I trust in. So act before it's too late~"
