It Seems I’m Not The Only One Who Reincarnated

Chapter 36.1: Moving

Class leader Ye Guang was well-respected and popular among his classmates.

Everyone saw him as a friend and naturally dispersed when he spoke.

Shi Hai didn’t feel particularly troubled, but he appreciated Ye Guang’s help and thanked him.

“Thank you.”

“Sorry for taking up your time.”

“No worries, I didn’t have any plans.”

Shi Hai had a lunch appointment with Jian Sichun and her friends at noon.

After the first class, it was still not even ten o’clock, and there was plenty of time until noon.

Shi Hai originally wanted to find a place to kill some time and think about how to get along with them.

“Really? I rarely see you except during our major courses. I thought you were quite busy. Since you have time, why not participate more in class activities?”

During his freshman year, Shi Hai only participated in mandatory activities like military training, collecting books and meal cards, and some data entry tasks.

He didn’t join any of the other class-organized activities.

He attended a welcome dinner to get to know classmates from different regions, but he left midway without joining the singing.

Such unsociable behavior made him a background figure in the class.

Shi Hai had previously mocked Tian Shui for being aloof, but he realized he wasn’t much different himself.

“One more or one less doesn’t make a difference.”

This wasn’t Ye Guang’s first invitation to Shi Hai, but Shi Hai always brushed it off with various excuses.

Eventually, Shi Hai stopped pretending and openly showed he didn’t want to go.

Classmates, especially the boys, respected Ye Guang and called him “Big Brother Ye,” but Shi Hai and Chu Chen were like orphans, never responding to any call.

“Alright, at least visit the dorm occasionally.”

“Uh…”

Shi Hai scratched the back of his head awkwardly.

He didn’t even know where his dorm was now.

Ye Guang, seeing through him, smiled and said, “Shi Hai, you’re in the same dorm as me.”

“Really?”

Shi Hai remembered Ye Guang sharing a dorm with Gao Xiangyang and a few others.

How did he end up with Ye Guang?

“And Chu Chen is also in our dorm.”

Chu Chen, who had been silently observing, was ready to help Shi Hai if anyone gave him trouble.

Unexpectedly, Ye Guang resolved the situation.

“Hmm?”

Shi Hai was surprised to see Chu Chen.

He had helped move to a new dorm last year, but Shi Hai didn’t recall Chu Chen being his dorm mate.

Ye Guang explained, “You might not know this, but we moved from an eight-person dorm to a four-person dorm just a few days before school started.”

“Oh… So, sophomores can move to four-person dorms.”

Shi Hai vaguely remembered this but hadn’t applied for the transfer.

Even if he had, getting the assignment was uncertain without good relations with the class advisor.

Ye Guang, as class leader and socially adept, naturally got priority, along with his friends.

But Shi Hai and Chu Chen… Their class advisor barely saw them last year.

Getting a four-person dorm allocation seemed impossible.

“I requested it, and we had one spot left, so I put your name down.”

“Why not ask Little Gao and the others?”

Shi Hai was surprised.

He thought Ye Guang would share a dorm with close friends like Gao Xiangyang and Jin Huiyou.

Why choose two marginal figures like Chu Chen and himself?

Was it to match appearances, forming a “Tech Institute F4”?

Shi Hai felt he barely fit in with them but was flattered by the thought.

Among male students eyeing other departments’ beauties, girls in other departments admired Tech Institute’s handsome guys, especially Chu Chen and Ye Guang.

They were often topics of conversation in the girls’ dorms.

“They wanted to maintain the brotherly dorm feeling and stayed in the eight-person dorm. I moved out alone.”

“I see. Didn’t they mind?”

“We’re all guys; who cares about such things? Plus, we’re in the same building, easy to visit. They know I often study in the library, so having a desk in a four-person dorm is convenient.”

“Good brothers indeed.”

“Yeah, we can be good brothers too, right?”

Ye Guang gave his trademark, positive-energy smile.
