Chapter: 13
Chapter 13: I got stronger!
Before anyone could react, another figure suddenly leaped out.
It was Wang Ran, wielding the Tang knife!
“Quick! Close the door!” Tang Dahai signaled to Liu Qiang.
Although it was a pity that Lin Momo had died, there was still a long-legged beauty inside. As long as the door was locked and zombies were kept out, it would still be a paradise.
“Who dares to close the door!” Su Xiaoyu stood at the entrance, her voice icy.
“Yo, big girl, worried about your boyfriend?” Liu Qiang sneered. “I tell you, if he’s bitten or scratched by a zombie, he’s dead. You better find another boyfriend! How about me?”
Liu Qiang approached Su Xiaoyu with a wicked grin. Without a word, Su Xiaoyu kicked Liu Qiang’s knee.
“Crack…”
Liu Qiang’s left leg buckled, rendering it useless.
“Ah!! My leg! My leg!” Liu Qiang fell to the ground, crying in agony.
Tang Dahai, terrified, collapsed. This woman, with her perfect figure and stunning looks, possessed such strength! Who would dare to challenge her?
Su Xiaoyu blocked the door, waiting for Wang Ran. She couldn’t risk going out to help. If the people inside locked the door with chains as soon as she stepped out, they would be trapped outside. It would be nearly impossible to get back in.
As long as Wang Ran’s life wasn’t in immediate danger, Su Xiaoyu had to endure and not act rashly.
Outside, Lin Momo felt despair as the zombies dragged her away.
“Am I going to die? Will I become one of those horrible zombies? I haven’t even been in love yet…” Lin Momo closed her eyes, awaiting death.
Suddenly, a warm hand grabbed her, pulling her into an embrace.
“Um?” Lin Momo opened her eyes to find Wang Ran holding her.
“Brother Wang Ran! Why did you come out?” Lin Momo was shocked. Was he here to save her? In such a dangerous situation…
Tears welled up in Lin Momo’s eyes. This kind of life-and-death moment was the easiest to move a person.
“Puchi” “Puchi”
The zombies were close, several already biting Wang Ran.
“Brother Wang Ran!” Lin Momo cried, tears streaming down her face. She knew that being bitten by a zombie meant certain death. To save her, Wang Ran didn’t even care about his own life.
“Don’t be afraid,” Wang Ran reassured her, patting her back before drawing the Tang knife. With one hand protecting Lin Momo and the other wielding the knife, he fought the zombies.
Flesh and blood flew… A few minutes later, Wang Ran stabbed the ground with his knife, gasping for breath. The dozens of zombies around them had all fallen.
This time, fighting with one hand was indeed more challenging. Wang Ran had many wounds, but fortunately, he was immune to the zombie virus.
Not far away, more zombies were approaching, drawn by the commotion.
“Let’s go inside,” Wang Ran said, helping Lin Momo. They walked into the warehouse.
Su Xiaoyu sighed in relief, immediately helping them in and locking the door.
“He… he was bitten by a zombie! He’ll turn into a zombie! Are you trying to kill us?” Tang Dahai exclaimed in horror.
“Shut up! Do you have any right to speak here?” Su Xiaoyu glared at Tang Dahai, who immediately shrank back, not daring to say another word. He didn’t want to end up like Liu Qiang.
In this apocalypse, a broken limb was as good as death.
“Xiaoyu, help me to the corner,” Wang Ran said softly. He felt something was wrong. He had been bitten by at least seven or eight zombies. Could the virus be too strong, breaking through his immunity? If so, it was over.
Su Xiaoyu and Lin Momo helped Wang Ran to the home appliance area. Wang Ran lay in a tent, feeling like his body was on fire. Sweat drenched him instantly.
“Master, how are you?” Su Xiaoyu asked anxiously. When Wang Ran was bitten by her before, it hadn’t seemed this bad. Did he get too many bites?
“I’m fine… It just feels a little weird,” Wang Ran replied, calming down as he got used to the reaction in his body. Although he hadn’t turned into a zombie, he felt a force expanding and erupting within him. This wasn’t typical of zombies.
After a few minutes, Wang Ran let out a long breath. He felt better. His body seemed full of power.
“I was bitten by zombies, and I can become stronger!” Wang Ran concluded quickly.
“Xiaoyu, help me move that refrigerator over,” Wang Ran ordered. Su Xiaoyu quickly pushed a double-door refrigerator over.
Wang Ran stood up, took a deep breath, and punched the refrigerator door. “Boom…” The door dented from the impact. Wang Ran retracted his fist, unscathed. It was exactly as he expected!
“Master! You’ve become stronger!” Su Xiaoyu exclaimed happily. Wang Ran was now as strong as her mutant zombie form!
“Yes, now I can protect myself outside,” Wang Ran said, satisfied. If he hadn’t risked rescuing Lin Momo, he wouldn’t have discovered this. When Su Xiaoyu bit him before, he had become a little stronger, but the change was too subtle to notice. This time, being bitten by seven or eight zombies had significantly improved his strength.
“Master, if you become stronger…” Su Xiaoyu blushed and lowered her head. Wang Ran knew what she was thinking. Fortunately, his physique had become stronger; otherwise, he wouldn’t survive long in Su Xiaoyu’s hands.
“Hey, where’s Momo?” Wang Ran looked around, realizing Lin Momo was missing. She must have been frightened.
“Master, she’s in the tent,” Su Xiaoyu pointed. Wang Ran had a bad feeling. When Lin Momo was taken by the zombies, she might have been infected.
“Crack…squeak…” Teeth grinding came from the tent. Wang Ran knew Lin Momo had turned into a zombie.
“Xiaoyu, watch over for me,” Wang Ran instructed, entering the tent.
