"Who are you, demons, to dare steal peaches from Old Sun!"

Inside the Peach Garden, Sun Wukong's furious shout instantly frightened the seven beautiful celestial maidens to their knees.

One of the maidens hastily said, "Great Sage, please calm your anger. We are not demons. We are the Seven Fairies, sent by the Queen Mother of the West to pick celestial peaches for the grand banquet. When we arrived, we went to the God of the Earth but couldn’t find you, Great Sage. Fearing we would delay the Queen Mother's command, we began picking peaches. We plead for your forgiveness."

Hidden beneath the surface, Shi Yue was also startled by Sun Wukong’s thunderous voice, thinking, "Such lovely fairies, and to Sun Wukong's eyes, they became demons." He watched the scene unfold just as he knew it would.

Sun Wukong, having no reservations, was already comfortably gorging on peaches and sleeping in the garden. The mysterious Earth Deity, for reasons unknown, guarded the entrance diligently, allowing none to enter without Sun Wukong's permission.

Perhaps yearning for those delicious ripe peaches, Sun Wukong had turned into a peach in his dreams. The Seven Fairies, searching for ripe peaches, delightedly tried to pick the one they found, only to awaken Sun Wukong.

Upon hearing about the Peach Banquet, Sun Wukong's eyes gleamed with interest. His anger turned to delight as he casually asked, "Fair maidens, please rise. This banquet by the Queen Mother, who has been invited?"

Unaware of Sun Wukong’s intent, the Seven Fairies answered honestly, "Invited are Tathagata, Bodhisattvas, and Arhats from the West, Southern Extreme Guanyin, Sage Emperor of Supreme Grace in the East, Immortal Elder of Ten Continents and Three Islands, Northern Extreme Mysterious Spirit, Central Yellow Pole Grand Immortal Huangjiao, Ancestral Earth Immortal Zhenyuan Daxian. Also attending are the Five Elders of the Five Directions, Five Constellation Lords, Disciples of the Three Pure Ones of the Upper Eight Caves, Four Emperors of the Heavens, and many renowned Taiyi Celestial Immortals, Sacred Sovereigns of the Middle Eight Caves, Nine Ramparts, Ocean Mountain Immortals, Underworld Lords of the Lower Eight Caves, and Manifested Earth Immortals, among various distinguished deities."

Sun Wukong felt something was amiss, and asked, "But have they invited Old Sun?"

The Seven Fairies glanced at each other and shook their heads, "We haven't heard of such an invitation."

Hearing this, Sun Wukong felt a surge of dissatisfaction. He thought to himself, "The Jade Emperor appointed me as The Great Sage Equal to Heaven, yet now I am snubbed. What should Old Sun do? Shi Yue told me to follow my instincts, and now my heart is filled with anger."

His eyes darted around as he looked for Shi Yue, wondering if he was still there, but seeing nothing, he cunningly said, "In that case, wait a moment while I find out."

The implication was clear: if Old Sun wasn't invited, they couldn’t take his peaches.

Unexpectedly, Sun Wukong turned and tapped each of the Seven Fairies, rendering them immobile. With a leap, he vanished from sight.

Shi Yue knew this method—a spell from the Seventy-Two Earthly Fiends transformations. It only worked on those with weaker cultivation. Since the Seven Fairies were only at the True Immortal level, Sun Wukong easily immobilized them with a tap.

Simultaneously, Shi Yue knew that since events had progressed this far, everything would likely continue along its original path, even if something unexpected—like his involvement—caused a temporary diversion. Firmly resolved, Shi Yue thought that if the conclusion of The Heavenly Court's assault on Flower Fruit Mountain was inevitable, then they may as well make the journey thrilling and impactful. There was no point in letting the deities achieve their desires so easily.

After Sun Wukong departed, Shi Yue used the Measuring Sky Staff to transform into the form of Perfected Taiyi, appearing at a distance with a face full of resentment.

At this moment, although the Seven Fairies were immobilized, they were still conscious and saw Perfected Taiyi's fleeting form, which surprised them. However, the next scene filled them with terror!

Every peach tree vanished one by one along with an image of Perfected Taiyi, leaving large holes in the ground beneath what was left. Within moments, the once lush Peach Garden was barren save for the trees surrounding them, deepening the fear in their eyes.

These Peach Trees, treasures of spiritual origin since times immemorial, were suddenly gone, leaving the Queen Mother of the West surely furious, and the Seven Fairies filled with dread and despair.

Meanwhile, Sun Wukong, acting on his carefree instincts, sneaked into the Jade Pool Celestial Palace where the banquet was prepared. Disguised as an Immortal Elder, he boldly became the first to enter.

The scene dazzled with a banquet of heavenly aroma, resplendent clouds, swirling spiritual essences, and tables laden with dragon liver, phoenix marrow, bear paws, and exotic dishes and fruits. Sun Wukong could barely restrain his eagerness. In the eyes of the assembled deities, even creatures like dragons and phoenixes were just delicacies.

Seeing this, Sun Wukong thought, "Since The Jade Emperor and Queen Mother didn’t invite me, they can have my leftovers." He cast a spell, making the attendants fall into a deep slumber, then indulged himself freely, unaware of being watched from within the Jade Pool Celestial Palace.

After gorging himself, Sun Wukong, slightly drunk, remembered Shi Yue’s advice: follow his instincts and take advantage of opportunities. Wondering if he had taken enough, he thought of inviting Shi Yue and returning to Flower Fruit Mountain, wary of The Jade Emperor’s intentions disrupting their safety.

However, halfway back, he spotted Shi Yue flying toward a place on a cloud and called out, "Brother, wait for me!" and followed, eventually reaching the Jade Palace of Dhoushuai.

Inside the seemingly empty palace stood an eight-trigram furnace and several gourds emitting golden light. Enlightened by intuition, Sun Wukong said to himself, "Since my brother led me here, this treasure must also be my fate. Let’s try some."

In his drunken state, he consumed the contents without a second thought, failing to realize that, like him, Shi Yue had no idea of the palace’s location and couldn’t have led him there.

Savoring each of the glowing golden pills like beans, Sun Wukong quickly sobered up as their immense power dissolved the effects of the celestial spirits he had drunk.

With his mind cleared, Sun Wukong realized he had taken immense advantage, as Shi Yue had predicted, and joyfully returned to Flower Fruit Mountain. Subconsciously, his reliance on Shi Yue grew stronger, adopting an instinctual habit to seek his brother Shi Yue whenever in doubt.

Meanwhile, when the effect of Sun Wukong's immobilization spell faded, the panicked Seven Fairies rushed back to the Jade Pool Celestial Palace. Upon seeing the Queen Mother of the West, they immediately knelt and narrated the incident.

Before the tale was finished, the Queen Mother turned pale, her body trembled. Suppressing her fury, she processed the details before disappearing with a step, her departing voice filled with seething anger.

"Perfected Taiyi!"

The hatred and intense rage in that voice made the Seven Fairies tremble, shivering on their knees, too scared to rise.

It was not Shi Yue who led Sun Wukong to the Palace of the Daoist Lord of the Great Monad, but Perfected Taiyi. This move was fully aligned with The Jade Emperor's plan—to amplify the chaos Sun Wukong caused and to offend more people. He reasoned that if he lost his favorite disciple, others shouldn’t have it easy either.

In earlier times, he might have dealt with Sun Wukong himself, but since Sun Wukong had been granted the title of The Great Sage Equal to Heaven by The Jade Emperor's decree, killing him would result in immense karmic consequences. Only those with a celestial title like the Five Emperors might act against him without incurring karma, and there are always those who disregard karma entirely, like the Daoist Lord of the Great Monad, who doesn't care due to the Chaos Elixir.

This was precisely why Buddhism approached Sun Wukong—his heavenly title made it such that no one dared truly kill him, ensuring his protection on the Journey to the West, while his powers were substantial. But this, of course, is another story.

Meanwhile, the Queen Mother of the West searched across the Thirty-three Heavens, and in no time, found Perfected Taiyi, who harbored ill intentions, confronting him with a dark expression as she grit her words, "Taiyi! Hand over my Peach Trees immediately, and I might spare your life. Otherwise, not even your master, the Primordial Heavenly Venerable, can stop me!"

Perfected Taiyi was dumbfounded, asking, "What Peach Trees, Empress?"

By this time, the Queen Mother of the West's wrath had clouded her judgment. With a wave of her jade hand, a small flag appeared.

Seeing this, Perfected Taiyi's pupils shrank with fear, "Empress, please clarify! I truly don't know about these Peach Trees you speak of. I’ve just returned from visiting friends."

His evasive words only convinced the Queen Mother of the West further. She scoffed, "Today, I shall capture you. If you return my Peach Trees, fine. But otherwise, you know my methods."

With that, she waved her delicate hand, and the flag expanded infinitely, cloaking the sky and engulfing Perfected Taiyi, leaving him no escape, only his panicked cries echoing.

"Mercy, Empress! I truly know nothing about these Peach Trees. Please explain."

The Queen Mother of the West ignored him entirely, turning to fly back to her Jade Pool Celestial Palace.
