Chapter 48: Chapter 48: Tremble before your creator
[An extra chap to make up for yesterday]
=========================================================
In the vast expanse of the Axis Mundi Universe, a sudden and powerful energy pulse reverberated through every corner, from the highest heavens to the deepest hells. Across all realities, time seemed to halt for a brief moment as the very fabric of the universe was touched by a presence of immeasurable power.
High above the multiverse, where the very laws of existence were mere guidelines, a portal of golden light tore open.
From this portal emerged a figure of divine radiance, clad in armor that shimmered with the light of a thousand suns, and wings that spanned galaxies. His presence was both awe-inspiring and terrifying, a true testament to the power of Eternus.
This was Seraphis, the Voice of Eternus, a being created to carry the messages of the supreme entity to all corners of creation.
As he emerged, his booming voice echoed across the stars, his words laced with the authority of the creator himself.
"Beings of the DCxMarvel Universe, hear me and tremble!" Seraphis' voice rang out, transcending the boundaries of time and space.
"I am Seraphis, the Voice of Eternus, sent forth to deliver the decree of the One who stands above all! The supreme Eternus, creator of all that is and ever will be, has ordained a grand tournament, the likes of which has never been seen and will never be seen again!"
His words resounded across planets, striking fear, awe, and excitement into the hearts of all who heard them. On Earth, heroes and villains alike paused, their attention drawn to the heavens.
On Asgard, the gods listened with bated breath. In the darkest corners of the universe, where only the foulest creatures resided, even they were not immune to the overwhelming power of the announcement.
"The fate of your worlds, your realities, your very existence hangs in the balance! For the next ten years, you are granted time to prepare, to gather your champions, to sharpen your skills and fortify your powers.
When the time comes, your best will be pitted against one another in a battle that will decide the fate of your universe! Fight, and victory will secure your place in the cosmos. Fail, and your universe will be wiped from existence, erased from the annals of time itself!"
As Seraphis spoke, a massive clock appeared in the skies above every planet and civilization. It ticked down from ten years, a constant reminder of the impending tournament and the stakes that lay ahead.
"Let it be known that this is the will of Eternus, and his will is absolute!" Seraphis proclaimed, his voice growing even more intense. "Prepare yourselves, mortals and immortals alike!
The greatest tournament in the history of creation is upon you! This is your chance to prove your worth, to secure your place in the great tapestry of existence! May the best prevail, and may the unworthy be cast into oblivion!"
With those final words, Seraphis' presence began to fade, the golden light that had accompanied him slowly dissipating. The echo of his voice lingered in the minds of all who heard it, a chilling reminder of the magnitude of what was to come.
And with that, the countdown had begun. Across the universe, preparations were already being made. Heroes and villains alike knew that the next decade would be the most crucial of their lives.
The tournament would be their ultimate test, their chance to secure the future of their universe. The clock was ticking, and the fate of everything they knew depended on the outcome.

Location: Stark Industries, New York City
The bustling sounds of the city below had been a mere hum to Tony Stark, who was busy tinkering with a new project in his lab. Suddenly, the voice of Seraphis reverberated through the walls, cutting through the noise like a knife.
Tony's hand froze mid-air, the tool he was holding clattering to the floor. "J.A.R.V.I.S.," he muttered, his voice tinged with disbelief, "what the hell was that?"
"I'm afraid I can't provide an analysis, sir," J.A.R.V.I.S. replied, his normally calm tone now laced with unease. "It appears to be something beyond our understanding."
Tony's gaze shifted to the window, where he could see the massive clock now hanging ominously in the sky. His mind raced as he considered the implications. "Bring up my the arc project. Now."
Location: Gotham City, The Batcave
In the dimly lit Batcave, Bruce Wayne stood alone, his eyes locked on the massive screen displaying surveillance footage from across Gotham. The voice of Seraphis echoed through the cave, causing Bruce to pause and listen intently.
As the announcement concluded, Bruce's jaw tightened. The clock appeared in the sky above Gotham, casting a shadow over the city he had sworn to protect.
Alfred approached, his footsteps soft on the cold stone floor. "Master Wayne, what do you make of this?"
Bruce didn't answer immediately. His mind was already working through the possibilities, the dangers, and the strategies that would be needed. Finally, he spoke, his voice low and determined. "We don't have much time. Inform the League. We need to be ready."
Location: New York City ,The Sanctum Sanctorum...
Doctor Stephen Strange was deep in meditation within the Sanctum Sanctorum, his astral form drifting through the dimensions. But the voice of Seraphis pulled him back, breaking his concentration.
His eyes snapped open, and he found himself back in his physical body, the room around him suddenly feeling too small. The presence of Seraphis had been undeniable, and the message was clear.
Wong entered the room, his expression troubled. "Did you hear it too?"
Strange nodded, his mind already working through the arcane texts that could help him prepare. "This is bigger than anything we've faced, Wong. The balance of the universe is at stake."
Wong glanced out the window at the ominous clock in the sky. "Then we must prepare, Doctor. For all our sakes."
Location: Apokolips
On the fiery world of Apokolips, the tyrant Darkseid stood on his throne, overseeing the suffering of his enslaved people. But even he could not ignore the voice of Seraphis, which echoed across his world with divine authority.
As the message concluded, Darkseid's red eyes glowed with a fierce light. His lips curled into a dark smile as he considered the tournament and the opportunity it presented.
"Prepare my forces," he commanded his loyal servant, Desaad. "This universe will soon kneel before Darkseid."
Desaad bowed deeply, his voice trembling with both fear and excitement. "It will be done, my lord."
Location: The X-Mansion, Westchester County
At the X-Mansion, the X-Men gathered in the courtyard, their eyes fixed on the sky. The voice of Seraphis had faded, but its impact lingered in the air, heavy and ominous.
Professor Charles Xavier wheeled himself to the front of the group, his expression unreadable. He could sense the anxiety in his students, the fear of the unknown that now loomed over them.
"We will face this challenge together," he said, his voice calm and reassuring. "We have ten years to prepare, and we will use that time wisely. The X-Men will be ready."
Nearby, Ororo Munroe, also known as Storm, glanced at the sky, her thoughts drifting to Darius. She knew he would play a crucial role in what was to come, and the thought both comforted and concerned her.
Location: The White House, Washington D.C.
In the Oval Office, the President of the United States had just finished a briefing when the voice of Seraphis filled the room. The sudden presence of such overwhelming power left everyone in the room stunned and speechless.
As the announcement ended and the clock appeared in the sky, the President turned to his advisors, his face pale. "What in God's name was that?"
No one had an answer. The gravity of the situation was clear, and the room erupted into chaos as they began to process the implications.
Location: The Watchtower, Earth's Orbit
In the Watchtower, high above the Earth, the Justice League gathered in their main hall. The tension was palpable as they replayed the message from Seraphis, the weight of the tournament hanging over them.
Superman stood at the forefront, his gaze resolute. "We've faced impossible odds before, but this… this is unlike anything we've ever encountered."
Batman, ever the strategist, nodded in agreement. "We need to start planning immediately. Every moment counts."
Wonder Woman placed a hand on Superman's shoulder. "We will face this together, as we always have. The world depends on us."
As they began to strategize, the clock in the sky ticked down, a constant reminder of the challenges that lay ahead.
Location: Latveria
In the darkened throne room of Castle Doom, Doctor Doom sat upon his iron throne, his mind already calculating the possibilities that the tournament presented. The voice of Seraphis had intrigued him, and the idea of universal power was something Doom had always sought.
"Ten years," he mused aloud, his voice echoing through the empty chamber. "Ten years to prepare for the greatest conquest of all."
His eyes flicked to the clock now visible outside the castle's windows. A slow, confident smile spread across his face.
"Let the universe tremble. For when the time comes, they shall know the name of Doom."
...
Across the universe, the message of Seraphis sparked reactions of fear, excitement, and determination. The greatest minds and most powerful beings began their preparations, knowing that the next ten years would be the most critical in their existence. The tournament was coming, and with it, the fate of all creation would be decided.

Mr. Nobody sat lounging on an old, creaky armchair. The walls around him were covered in bizarre, ever-changing graffiti, and the furniture was a mismatched assortment of junk from across dimensions.
He was in the middle of his latest absurd scheme, gleefully planning his next move, when Seraphis' booming announcement filled the air.
The voice, mighty and majestic, slammed into Mr. Nobody like a freight train, knocking him out of his chair and sending him tumbling across the floor.
The overwhelming pressure bore down on him, making every atom in his body feel like it was being squashed under the weight of a thousand realities.
"Holy hellfire and brimstone!" Mr. Nobody gasped, clawing at the floor as if it would help him escape the crushing force. "This is all my fault, isn't it? Damn it to the nth dimension!"
He scrambled to his feet, only to be knocked down again by another wave of Seraphis' power. "Son of a goddamn multiverse! That stinging, celestial prick! Just had to go and ruin my fun with all his *righteous, booming voice* and *mystical, universal clocks*, didn't he?"
He rolled onto his back, staring up at the shifting, psychedelic ceiling of his lair. "And that's not even the worst of it," he muttered, feeling the cold, judgmental gaze of Eternus upon him. It was a sensation like being stared at by the universe's most disappointed parent, and it made Mr. Nobody's skin crawl.
"Great. Just bloody fantastic," he growled, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "First, I get stomped on by a cosmic windbag, and now I've got Eternus, the Grand Cosmic Buzzkill himself, giving me the evil eye. As if I'm the one who decided to stir up this mess! Well, okay, maybe I did—but they didn't have to react like that! Fucking drama queens, the lot of them!"
Mr. Nobody pulled himself up, wobbling slightly as he stood. "I knew this was a bad idea. I knew Life was a ticking time bomb of chaos, but noooo, I just had to go and get involved. 'It'll be fun,' they said. 'It'll be entertaining,' they said. Well, screw them all with a goddamn *reality-warping* pitchfork!"
He kicked a random object across the room—an old, squeaky rubber duck that quacked ominously when it hit the wall. "Why is it always me? I'm the one who gets squashed, I'm the one who gets scolded, and now I've got to figure out how to survive this clusterfuck of a situation without being erased by some high-and-mighty cosmic entity."
Mr. Nobody paced back and forth, his mind racing. "Okay, okay, think, you lunatic. Seraphis is out to kill the vibe, Eternus wants my head on a silver platter, and Darius… well, that bastard is probably laughing his omnipotent ass off right now."
He paused, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "Still, I'm not out of tricks yet. There's always a way out, always a way to flip the script. I just need to stay one step ahead of those cosmic clowns."
With a manic grin, Mr. Nobody snapped his fingers, causing the lair to shift and warp around him. "Time to kick things into high gear. I've got a universe to mess with, and I'm not about to let some omnipotent asshats steal the spotlight."
As he prepared to dive back into the chaos, a sudden chill ran down his spine. He shivered, glancing around warily. "And if Eternus is still watching… well, screw you too, you overgrown space dad. Let's see if you can keep up with Mr. Nobody!"
With that, Mr. Nobody vanished into the shadows, cursing under his breath and plotting his next move, all while feeling the unshakable weight of the cosmic forces closing in on him.
