Chapter 7: Borrowing the strength of others
Eat this!!"
Laughing, he pulled out multiple explosive tags and attached them onto the body of the curse before he flipped once more, and hurled himself into the air.
Noticing movements from underground, he pulled out a kunai and hurled it into the wall of a tall building, before pulling on the metallic string wire attached to it, hurling himself just a hair's breath away from the massive jaws of the worm that erupted from the ground.
*BOOM!*
Despite the massive explosion behind him, he landed soundlessly on another building and calmed himself, watching the curse slowly fall to the ground with half of its body burnt to a crisp, though not completely exorcised.
He sighed, not having the heart nor the time to care about non sorcerers caught up in the cross fire. Not that he didn't want to, however with his level of strength, even saving himself was quite the hassle.
Realising the cursed spirit was already recovering , he sped off, rushing with all the speed he could muster, his arms pulled behind him, as he run atop the buildings like an arrow, in the Shinobi way.
Once the building he sped along was tackled by the injured curse, he hurled himself into the sky like a bird and landed on another, repeating this movement for a while, and keeping the curse directly on his heels.
Roaring in fury, the curse halted it's actions for a moment and bid it's time allowing Sasuke to jump off one building, and while he was in the air, it gathered every iota of cursed energy within its body and unleashed a beam of cursed energy into the sky, like a lasered beam from a cannon.
Noticing the incoming attack from the corner of his eyes, Sasuke was rather late to react, unable to evade the attack completely, therefore he wrapped himself in a protective film of cursed energy.
*BANG!*
His body was hurled into the distance, crashing through several structures, before he smashed into the ground skidding along the rocky path into a wall.
"Ughhh!"
Unable to even stagger to his feet, he puked out blood while on his knees, and looked into the distance, recognising the two monstrosities headed towards him.
He tried to move, dragging his injured body along, however he was a tad too late. In a few moments, the giant worm erupted from the soil, with his jaws wide opened ready to chomp down on him.
"Shit!"
He cursed as his Sharingan widened in shock, his arms automatically moving to shield him from the incoming assault.
*BANG!*
*CHOMP!*
Feeling a sticky liquid pouring onto his face, he opened his eyes, only to see his assailant, the worm like curse in the jaws of a large serpentine cursed spirit that was rapidly chomping on it's flesh, causing its blood to spray rapidly onto his figure.
He drew in deep breaths and calmed his rapid beating heart before looking in the distance only to see the figure of a tall handsome youth with long dark hair, dressed in a standard Jujutsu uniform gazing towards him from above on the body of a large sea gull cursed spirit.
*Woosh!*
Leaping from the body of the flying cursed spirit, Suguru landed on the ground gracefully and began making his way towards the injured youth, however even more so, there was something that attracted him about the boy.
His pair of eyes.
He had never seen a pair so enchanting yet so wicked at the same time, not since the six eyes. Aside from that, the boy's unusual cursed energy caused quite the storm in his mind. While it did not possess any unusual property, it felt extremely pure, as if it had been borne right from the heart of the devil itself.
Could he be the one they were looking for?
"Who are you?"
Suguru asked, unfazed by the annoyed looked from Sasuke's Sharingan, as he advanced towards him.
*£&£-#+#([©]$\¥[;[!!???*
The distorted mumblings of the massive furry curse erupted behind them, and Suguru turned around calmly, with his hand outstretched, ready to put an end to this monstrous being when he halted and rolled his eyes.
*BOOOOM!*
The next moment, space itself seemed to warp and distort, as an extremely powerful force of attraction ripped through matter in all directions, tearing apart the curse spirit from within and spraying blood everywhere.
Even Sasuke's Sharingan couldn't help but widen in shock, seeing the unnatural phenomenon that had just occured a moment ago.
How was a simple human being capable of wielding such a godly power? How was this possible?
He questioned deep down, strengthening his resolve. He did not lack the talent Gojo Satoru or Suguru Geto had, neither did he lack techniques. Currently they had headstarted the race and were ahead of him in terms of power, however he believed he was going to outclass them both in future, he just needed to grow.
"Gojo Satoru is here!!"
Slowly levitating to the ground like a saviour, a white haired, handsome, bespectacled and tall youth landed on the ground and cheered for himself noticing the destruction he had caused.
"Sigh..you fucker! You nearly destroyed everything in the vicinity! Can you be responsible in the very least?!"
Suguru angrily berated him, however the smile on the youth's face never left.
"Responsibility is for weaklings. Besides Ieiri and Utahime already evacuated everyone. There's nothing wrong with letting loose once in a while."
The white haired youth, heir to the Gojo clan laughed and stretched his waist ignoring the annoyed expression on the face of his best friend.
Ignoring his best friend and taking a deep breath, Suguru turned around to face the weird eyed youth behind him only to find nothing. He was gone without a trace.
"You scared away the boy.."
Suguru sighed and rubbed his temples in exhaustion.
"Which boy?"
Satoru looked behind Suguru and scratched his head in confusion.
"I think you need to get a good rest, Suguru, all the fighting is getting to your head"
Satoru laughed hysterically while Suguru fumed.
"This has nothing to do with this!!!
That boy, he had a pair of weird bloody eyes. I've never seen something like that before.."
Suguru burst out angrily for a moment and drew in deep breaths, remembering those weird shaped irises.
"Hmmm? I have weird eyes.."
Suguru ignored the comment, as his expression turned grave.
"His cursed energy, it was unlike anything I have ever felt.."
He looked solemnly towards the spot from which the youth had disappeared from.
"Hmmm? I did see that weird tendril of energy. It's the very reason why I chose this direction for us.."
Satoru commented and took off his glasses, examining his surroundings and finally looking into the distance.
"When I arrived here, he was being pursued by two third grades and almost died.."
Suguru walked beside him and spoke as Satoru nodded and smiled.
"Smart guy. It could be that he was being pursued by the curses or not, however, he led them right to us.."
Looking towards a particular direction, the blue eyed youth nodded in appreciation.
"What do you mean?"
"I can see tendrils of his cursed energy mixed up with those of the curses that were in pursuit, tracing a straight line from this point to about a kilometer away.
Every single building in that direction has been razed to the ground, evidence showing that a battle must've taken place between them.."
Suguru asked and Satoru explained what his eyes were seeing in detail.
"How disappointing.. to think every human in that vicinity could've been in potential danger had they not been evacuated.."
Shaking his head in distaste, Suguru scoffed.
"Disappointing? The right word is smart. From just this, I can tell how he thinks, Suguru. He's realistic, just like me, and unlike you. He knows he is weak, therefore did everything in his power to survive, not caring about those caught in the crossfire, and focusing on himself.
Man! I like him already.."
Satoru laughed and put his glasses back on..
"But why were the curses after him?"
Ignoring Satoru's selfish ideology Suguru asked after a bit of thought.
"Probably the same reason why we want him. It's not everyday you find someone with such flawless cursed energy, Suguru. The only individual I knew who possessed such energy passed away a while ago."
Satoru confirmed his doubts as he drew in a deep breath.
"He's the perfect Star Plasma Vessel for Master Tengen. With his body, Master Tengen can now hope to achieve perfect immortality and finally resolve the instabilities in his technique..
However, if he refuses the merger, then we have no option than to let him go.."
Suguru spoke with resolve and looked above him at the clear blue skies.

Meanwhile, within an abandoned warehouse, a figure staggered and dropped to his knees, before slowly taking a seat, resting his back against a wall.
His mind kept replaying the scenes of Satoru and Suguru exerting a bit of their power casually, with each time shocking him even more.
"That's what real power looks like isn't it?"
He spoke and laughed to himself in a bit. His resolve was strengthened. Unlike his previous selves, he was going to survive. He was going to ascend. His eyes had been opened to the reality of the world. He had tasted true power and he wanted more.

Gazing at the system interface, he smiled and relaxed his body.
"I am no longer a Zen'in, neither am I Virgil. From now on, I am Sasuke Uchiha, and I will survive.."
He solemnly swore, clenching his fists tightly before he relaxed and rested, closing his eyes in sleep.
