Chapter 112.7 - Map
Map (with Fan Art)
This is a rough map of Chapter One.
Note:
The sizes and number of buildings are for the atmosphere.
Use it as a rough reference.
The Grand Midal Map
As you can see, the Grand Midal continent is quite large.
If asked how large, I can’t give a quick answer, but it’s about twice the size of Hokkaido… I think…
It will expand and contract as needed for the story, lol.
The brown band running through the center is the Midal Mountain Range.
In the illustration, it looks like a wall, but in reality, it’s a range of several mountains.
Many places have towering peaks.
Overall, the elevation is high and full of difficult terrain, making crossing the Midal Mountains a life-threatening endeavor.
There are few routes that large caravans can pass through, with three famous ones.
The route at the southernmost tip of the Midal Mountains connects to the Kingdom of Meisedes.
However, this route is rarely used due to its lack of advantage in reaching the north.
The most used route connects the Karman Empire and Lakelel.
This route is the most challenging for large wagons but is the most profitable for trade, so it’s the most used.
Another route connects Atlantia and Cordea, but there are rumors that the toll is very high (hey).
Recently, more merchants have started using shift rooms.
Piratus is exactly to the west.
There are no proper states west of Lake Mazul. Most are city-states.
The Cordea Union in the upper right and Palon in the lower right are not fully developed settings (sweat).
They might disappear if I forget about them, lol.
Have any of the other countries been mentioned by name?
The destination for Chapter Two is Lakelel, but will it be…
City-State Pilatus
This is also a very rough map, but feel free to use it as a reference.
Maybe Whale Inn could be on another back street…
The relationship between the dungeon and the courtyard might have been hard to explain with my writing skills, so if anyone was confused, please check the positional relationships here.
I originally planned to show the revolutionary routes, but I ran out of time (sweat).
When the rogue buffalo appeared in the wood area, someone tried to escape along the river to the slums, and looking at the map, you can see why.
In reality, the city walls extend slightly to the river, making it difficult…
I forgot to mention, there’s an unauthorized dock near the slums and the city wall.
The lighthouse and the Velliero Trading Company seem a bit too close (sweat).
Please imagine them a bit further apart.
That’s it for the map episode.
