Konoha, Just Like Kizaru

Chapter 76: 076 Hyuga Incident, Simu IS HERE!

The Hyuga Grand Elder stood with a beaming smile between the two newlyweds, holding the ceremonial scroll.

"Hyuga Hiashi, do you vow to marry Hyuga Lindy, to love her, protect her, and stand by her from this day forward?"

Without hesitation, Hyuga Hiashi confidently replied, "I do."

The Elder then turned to Hyuga Lindy.

"Hyuga Lindy, do you vow to marry Hyuga Hiashi, to become the Hyuga clan's patriarch's wife, support him, stay loyal, and bear his children?"

Lindy bit her lip hard, her hands clenched tightly together, trembling ever so slightly.

She knows she should say 'I do' now.

But she can't say it...

Lindy was silent.

The lively atmosphere at the scene suddenly calmed down.

The guests looked at Lindy one after another, as if they wanted to know what happened.

Was there anyone who would refuse the honor of becoming the patriarch's wife?

Hyuga Hiashi's expression darkened with growing discomfort, while the Grand Elder's face maintained a forced smile.

"It seems Miss Lindy is too nervous to speak," he announced smoothly, his voice carrying over the murmurs.

"After all, becoming the wife of a clan head is no small responsibility."

The Grand Elder then leaned in closer to Lindy, his tone dropping to an icy whisper that only she could hear:

"Say it now, or bear the consequences for defying the Hyuga clan."

"Don't forget, you bear the Caged Bird seal," the Great Elder whispered coldly.

"If you dare ruin the Hyuga clan's plans, not only will you pay with your life, but your precious Hanyu Simu won't escape either. Believe me, the Hyuga clan has the means to make this happen."

Lindy's body trembled as the weight of the threat settled over her.

She could endure the pain of the Caged Bird herself, but the thought of Simu suffering because of her was unbearable.

The Great Elder straightened himself, masking his intimidation with a composed demeanor, and asked again

"Hyuga Lindy, do you want to marry Hyuga Hiashi?"

"To become the wife of the Hyuga clan's patriarch, to support him, be loyal to him, and bear his children?"

All eyes were on Lindy.

Her lips quivered as she struggled to speak, and finally, with immense difficulty, she uttered:

"I…"

BOOM!

A deafening explosion erupted from the outskirts of the Hyuga clan grounds.

Lindy's head snapped up, her pale eyes widening.

In the distance, space distorted, and countless barrier seals shimmered before dissolving into nothingness—a sign the protective enchantments were under attack.

Before anyone could react, a flash of light streaked toward the square where the wedding ceremony was underway.

The defensive barrier erected by the Hyuga clan's Jōnin shattered in an instant.

The four Hyuga guards stationed at the entrance to collect invitations were now lay unconscious on the ground.

In the midst of the chaos, Lindy blinked through her blurred vision. A figure emerged, sharp and unmistakable.

It was him.

Just like that night, when he descended from the heavens to rescue her from the gold exchange. The memory and reality overlapped.

Hanyu Simu had come.

"Oh, what a grand event for the Hyuga clan,"

Simu said, lifting his sunglasses as he walked casually into the square with his hands in his pockets.

The guests, all renown figures in Konoha, turned their attention to him with puzzled expressions.

They recognized Simu. Despite being relatively young, he had made waves since graduating from the Ninja Academy a little over a year ago.

His performance had been outstanding, and he was known to be highly trusted by the Third Hokage.

However, there was an air of mystery around him.

The incident involving the Kumo Shinobi—connected to the Nine Tails Jinchūriki—had been suppressed by the Third Hokage. Simu's feat of instantly wiping out the Kumo Jōnin team had been buried, leaving his true strength a question mark to most.

So they don't know Simu's true strength.

This Jōnin assessment is just finished and because the clan's children haven't returned yet, leaving the situation unclear.

To them, Simu is just a junior who has gained a bit of fame recently.

Does Konoha lack geniuses?

Hardly. What Konoha truly lacks are geniuses who can grow and thrive.

If we're talking about talent, everyone present is either a family heir or even a clan leader.

Who here wasn't considered a genius in their youth?

But today is the matter of the Hyuga clan, even if someone comes to find a problem, of course the Hyuga clan will solve it themselves.

Simu stood there with his hands in his pockets.

"It's a shame the Hyuga clan didn't invite me to such a grand event,"

"Watch your tone!"

The nearby Hyuga people scolded.

Simu raised his eyebrows: "As expected of Konoha's great ninja clan, it's really scary."

Hyuga Teruchi recognized Simu's identity. Trouble had arrived after all.

What Teruchi feared wasn't Simu himself, but Simu's teacher, Jiraiya—who, in turn, was a student of Sarutobi Hiruzen.

Avoiding conflict would be the best outcome.

Their pride had been trampled. If the Hyuga clan let this go, they'd lose face in Konoha in the future.

"You trespassed on Hyuga clan territory and attacked our people," Hyuga Kota scolded sternly.

"Even as Jiraiya's apprentice, you can't act so recklessly."

He had to take a firm stand to avoid being looked down upon by the other ninjas present.

Simu casually plucked his ear and replied indifferently,

"I, Hanyu Simu, take full responsibility for my actions. Don't drag my teacher into this."

"You Hyuga love to rely on backers to pressure others, but I don't need that."

An elder from the Hyuga clan immediately erupted in anger.

"That insolent fool! Take him down!" commanded the elder angrily.

"Yes!"

The Hyuga ninjas surrounding the plaza swiftly charged at Simu.

"Oh, how terrifying," Simu remarked mockingly.

Under the cover of Observation Haki, Simu knows all their movements.

For a moment, dozens of pairs of Byakugan eyes fixed on Simu.

Not a single bit of Chakra flow in him escaped their eyes. It's a pity that Simu doesn't need to use Chakra.

"Why... why doesn't his Chakra flow at all?" one murmured in confusion.

The Byakugan could see through flesh, allowing them to predict movements by observing Chakra flow or pinpointing weaknesses in ninjutsu.

But Simu didn't rely on Chakra, rendering their insight useless.

Simu was using the power of his Devil Fruit, so he didn't need to use Chakra at all.

They were stupid to think otherwise.

A smirk appeared on Simu's face as he dodged the attacking palm with a swift sideways movement, then raised his finger.

"Finger Pistol!"

A bloody hole appeared on the Hyuga ninja's shoulder.

But more ninjas from the branch house rushed forward.

They had been taught since childhood to believe that the branch house was subservient to the main family, conditioned to accept their role as mere tools for the clan.

Of course, the main family always dressed up this idea with lofty words to make it seem more acceptable.

For example, they were told it was their duty to dedicate themselves to the family, to preserve the purest bloodline, and to shield the branch house from leaking outside.

But it still can't change the fact that the branch house is the dog of the clan.

As long as the main family wished, they could use the Caged Bird technique to torture the branch house at any time, even to the point of death.

This technique was the reason the main family's rule remained so unchallenged.

Despite the overwhelming assault, Simu seemed unusually calm.

The branch house could never learn the true secrets of the Hyuga clan. In other words, their Byakugan and Gentle Fist were inherently flawed.

However, their combat strength wasn't any weaker than that of the Main family.

Unable to see through Simu's actions, the Hyuga ninjas couldn't touch him.

Simu swiftly moved, slapping his palm and sweeping his foot to knock down three Hyuga ninjas in his path.

He then headed straight for the Hyuga clan's shrine.

"You're courting death!"

Hyuga Jōnin, standing near the patriarch, finally made his move.

One Jōnin caught the flying ninjas, while the other charged directly at Simu.

"Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms!"

A figure representing the Eight Trigrams appeared beneath the Jōnin's feet.

With the Byakugan, every movement of Simu was laid bare before him.

Hyuga Jōnin charged toward Simu.

One Palm.

Simu raised his foot to block it.

Two palms, three palms, four...

The Jōnin kept attacking with a total of sixty-four palms, but Simu effortlessly dodged each one.

Not only did Simu avoid having his acupuncture points sealed, he didn't even get touched.

At this point, everyone's perception of Simu shifted.

He was no longer just a talented genius ninja.

Now, he was a genius ninja who demanded careful attention.

The difference between the two was huge.

To remain so calm while facing a Hyuga Jōnin showed that Simu was already at the level of an Elite Jōnin.

What made it even more impressive was that Simu never once used his hands during the entire exchange.

"As expected of the Gentle Fist, the strongest technique in the ninja world. I almost got hit," Simu said, scratching his head with a look of mock distress.

Uchiha Patriarch with other clans watching from all directions, couldn't help but feel speechless.

As for the Hyuga clan, their faces turned an angry shade of green.

Not only had Simu provoked the Hyuga, but he had also taunted them right to their faces!

The Hyuga Jōnin, now thoroughly humiliated, charged at Simu once more, this time putting everything he had into the attack.

"Eight Trigrams One Hundred and Twenty-Eight Palms!"

But Simu had lost interest in playing this game.

He quickly dodged the attack.

"Once is enough. Twice is a bit tiring,"

Simu said, pushing his dark glasses up as he raised his leg.

"How about you try the feeling of being kicked by the speed of light?"

Just as Hyuga Jōnin turned around, Simu's foot struck his stomach with lightning speed.

"Boom!"

"Boom!"

"Boom!"

The powerful kick sent the seasoned branch house Jōnin flying, crashing through half a dozen houses before finally coming to a stop.

As six or seven houses turned to ruins in an instant, the scene fell deathly silent.

The elders of the Hyuga clan wore grim expressions.

When had Konoha produced such a frightening figure?

Uchiha Suzuki, watching Simu from every angle, wore a look of admiration.

Even Shimura Danzō couldn't hide his approval.

Simu tilted his head and stared at the leader of the Hyuga clan.

"I'm curious," he began. "Until now, most of the people I've fought have been from the branch house, right?"

"The ones sent on missions are from the branch house, and the ones who die on the battlefield are from the branch house."

"Why?"

"Why is the main family considered more noble than you?"

Simu's words left the ninjas of the branch house in stunned silence.

For years, the branch house has been under the strict rule of the main family. It's impossible to deny the deep grievances they feel.

The main family doesn't have to do much. They simply rely on the Hyuga clan's wealth and the earnings of the branch house ninjas to live comfortably.

Meanwhile, the branch house members risk their lives on dangerous missions.

When they return home, they are treated like servants, working endlessly for the main family.

Even their children and grandchildren are doomed to this same fate.

It's not that they haven't thought about resisting, but since childhood, they've been cursed with a seal.

They have no power to resist.

Just a single word from the main family can make them feel completely powerless.

Seeing Simu shake the morale of the Hyuga clan, Hyuga Teruchi finally couldn't take it anymore.

"Come with me!" he ordered.

The branch house Jōnin hesitated for a moment, but the Jōnin from the main family charged forward first.

Five Jōnin from the main family attacked Simu together.

"Eight Trigrams: Empty Wall Palm!"

Five blasts of chakra flew toward Simu at once, sealing off every possible escape route.

The huge force destroyed half of the square.

Meanwhile, the guests had already gathered around the area, watching the chaos unfold.

All eyes were on the smoke, wondering if the kid had been beaten to death.

This was the combined attack of five Jōnin, with power comparable to S-class ninjutsu.

Uchiha Suzuki activated his Sharingan, carefully watching the battlefield.

Suddenly, his Sharingan twitched.

A flash of light shot out of the smoke, and even with his advanced vision, all he could catch was Simu's shadow moving faster than he could follow.

"It's truly terrifying that the leader of the main family is fighting personally."

In the blink of an eye, Simu appeared in front of the five Hyuga Jōnin.

"Ever been kicked by the speed of light?" Simu said, his golden kick charging up.

Seeing this, one of the Hyuga Jōnin stepped forward to block.

"Eight Trigrams: Revolving Heaven!"

Using Gentle Fist, he spun rapidly, releasing a large amount of chakra around him, forming a massive semicircular barrier that whirled with intense force.

"This is known as Konoha's strongest defense—Revolving Heaven, with no weaknesses!"

Many people nearby recognized this technique, a trademark move of the Hyuga clan.

Since its creation, no one had ever been able to defeat it head-on.

The elders of the Hyuga clan smiled, confident that no matter how talented the kid was, he could never defeat this move.

Simu paused, a smile appeared on his face.

"Speed is power."

Breaking this technique was actually simple: all it took was speed faster than the rotation of the chakra.

Unfortunately, speed was Simu's specialty.

But Simu wasn't interested in simply countering the Hyuga clan's moves today.

He wanted to crush them.

A surge of Armament Haki flowed out, enveloping his feet.

Simu then changed direction, kicking against the Revolving Heaven in the opposite direction.

The moment Simu's foot touched Revolving Heaven, a massive golden light erupted, flooding everyone's field of vision like a golden aurora.

It was as if a steel bar had collided with a high-speed rotating grinder, sending sparks flying everywhere.

The outcome depended on which was stronger: the grinder's speed or the steel bar's hardness.

Simu's foot pressed down with great force, and amid the clash of countless lights and chakra,

"I'll show you what real power is!"

Revolving Heaven shattered!

The Revolving Heaven technique shattered into fine Chakra lines and dispersed into the air.

Simu's kick kept going, landing with immense force on the Jōnin.

There was a sickening crack, and the sound of broken bones echoed as the Jōnin was sent flying.

After the attack, Simu casually put his hands back into his trouser pockets.

He looked at Hyuga Lindy, who had tears in her eyes, and smiled.

"Lindy, just say you don't want to get married yet, and I'll take you away right now."

"No one can stop me, I mean it."
