It a good day for junpei he was talking about movies with his 2 club members and it was a good time that was until 4 bullies came in to the room.

Bully leader: what the hell are you doing here this room is ours.

Junpei: well you haven't been using for a while so I thought it would okay to use it.

As a response the leader kicked off some movies cases that junpei and his club members organized.

Bully leader: so you think you can just waltz up in here?

Junpei: no but.

But he was cut off when leader kicked the table as a sign to tell him to shut up.

Bully leader: I suggest you get out of here before we have to hurt you.

Junpei's club members grabbed there bags and the told junpei to hurry he was reluctant but he got to walk away but he noticed that one of bullies was stepping on a movie case that was a favorite of his.

Bully: what?

Junpei: your stepping on my movie case.

Bully: yeah so what?

Junpei couched down and grabbed the crushed case.

Junpei: so move your foot.

His club mates tried to tell him to let it go but before junpei could respond he got kicked in the face breaking his nose.

The bully who kicked him got down and patted his shoulder as a mock comfort.

Bully: close the door.

Bully 2: Roger that.

With the junpei was alone with 4 bullies about beat him up all because he stood up.

He had the look of fear at first but he remembered about his power he was to upset to remember but that he remembered he had a chance to make them pay.

Junpei got up and he let go of his broken nose and took an untrained fighting stance.

And the bullies looked at him and they started to laugh.

Bully: look at this clown he thinks he can fight us.

Junpei:[ I've never been in a fight before so my chances of winning are close to zero but thanks to this spiritual energy I have a Chance]

One of the bullies tried to attack him but he dodged him but since he is untrained he almost lost his balance but he took that to his advantage and delivered a spiritual energy enhanced kick that sent him flying.

And all the bullies were shocked at this and they were looking at there knocked out partner.

Junpei took advantage of him and sucker punched the one who stepped on his movie case.

But he unfortunately for junpei since his body wasn't trained he getting tired fast and the bullies saw this.

Bully: this scrawny punk is just getting lucky get him.

Junpei was getting tired but he isn't going down with out a fight.

In the end junpei was beaten but unlike the other times when he was beaten he felt like at least this time he actually fought back instead of just sitting in a corner taking the beating.

At the end of school junpei had bandages around his body but this time he was actually determined to learn more from max and the others junpei had to use his phone to find the address and he found the house which looked better than before but that aside he got inside.

And he saw that nobody was in here but he looked at the open window and saw max who had a wodden sword and squigly who was blindfolded.

Junpei decided to watch this because he knows that from animes and action movies that this is training method to train your senses and he saw how squigly was dodging max's attacks but he saw that she didn't master this.

Max sensed a familiar presence and he looked to see junpei looking at him in the window.

Max: oh hey junpei.

Squigly was distracted by this and max took this as a chance to knocked her off her balance and this time he succeeded.

Squigly: ow.

Max: looks like I got you this time.

Squigly: no fair you tricked me.

Max: if you are saying that I said hey junpei to distract you well look at the window.

Squigly looked at the window and she saw that junpei was indeed there.

Squigly: oh

The two got inside the house and started talking.

Max: woah bad day huh?

Junpei: yeah but at least I actually fought back instead of wimpering in a corner.

Max: well that's good here let me heal you.

Max made small whips and junpei felt his injuries fading but he still felt a bit of pain but junpei noticed the black whips.

Junpei: what's with those whips?

Max: huh? Oh right you don't know every person who have spiritual energy has an ability that can be utilized.

Max made a black hand from his shoulder and did motion to demonstrate.

Max: my allows me to make black arms that can absorb energy and I can utilize it to give me back up energy or use sertant elements like for example I use a necklace that my little sister gave me to heal myself and others it absorbed the energy in the air and I absorb it in case I don't have time to take it out.

Junpei: wow what about squigly?

Squigly: I have leviathan's fire.

She demonstrated by making a small spark of fire and playing with it.

Junpei: wow do I have an ability?

Max: yeah but you have to look deep within yourself to figure that out sertant abilities have triggers so try looking deep within your soul.

Junpei closed his eyes and he focused on his own soul and when he did he felt like a poisonous feeling and he felt like a swarm of jellyfish were around his soul like bees protecting there queen.

He focused on that feeling and he felt something floating around so he opened his eyes to see a small jellyfish floating around

It was small enough to fit in his hand.

Squigly: oh my goddess that's adorable.

Max: yeah and kinda new.

Squigly: what do you mean?

Max: normally when spiritual energy users don't have a spiritual partner early usually they have to find a pure soul and if they agree to make a contract then they cane lend their power we call them guides

Max looked at the jellyfish fish in junpei's hands.

Max: and actually i think people in this world have there own guides like personal ghosts.

Junpei: this kinda thing is exclusive to people in this world?

Max: looks like it and it looks like it has complete loyalty to you.

Junpei was looking at the jellyfish with stars in his eyes and he came up with a name to call it.

Junpei: I'll call this little guy moon dregs.

Max: why that well he is colored like a bright moon and he has little tentacles on the neck part.

Squigly: I think it's pretty cute.

Junpei: then looked around and noticed that Peter and Sonia weren't around.

Junpei: were are the other two?

Max: oh they went for a stroll this there first time here in Japan so they want a feel for the place.

Junpei: max can I ask you for a favor?

Max: what is it?

Junpei: can you train me?

Max: sure.

Junpei: huh just like that?

Max: you just unlocked your spiritual energy so naturally you don't know how to use it so I will make you push your body to the limit.

Junpei was a little nervous but he steeled his resolve.

Junpei: I'll do it.

With Peter and Sonia it was raining so they were outside under a movie theater entrance.

Sonia: why the hell did it rain all of the sudden?

Peter: you do realize that we don't have a tv so we couldn't see the wheather report.

Sonia: man this sucks.

Peter: so what do you think of Japan so far?

Sonia: well even though it's not our world's Japan it's okay but hate that weirdos tried to give me a modeling job and how they had those wierd smiles on them that really pissed me off.

Peter: yeah can't blame you….mmmm?

Peter and Sonia sensed that wierd energy again but this time it felt more controlled.

Sonia: should we look?

Peter: well the rain has calmed down a little so I think it would be fine.

The two jumped up to the roof tops and they saw a blonde man in a suit with a wrapped up weapon fighting one of the creatures and a pink haired boy in a black uniform with a red hoodie fighting another one of the creatures.

Peter: wow these guys are good.

Sonia: yeah and they are using that negative energy thing.

Peter: hey Sonia.

Sonia: yeah?

Peter: those creatures focus your senses on them.

Sonia did as Peter asked and when she did she was shocked.

Sonia: holy shit those things are human!

Peter: yeah it looks like what ever did that to them they died due to the shock in their system.

Sonia: should we stop them?

Peter: there is no point I doubt that we can save them after there bodies are this deformed.

Peter got up and was about to walk away.

Nanami: you two who are you!

Peter and Sonia stopped in there tracks they turned and saw the blonde man was looking at them with suspicion.

Nanami: did you send theses curses to observe our our fighting style or were you just watching for fun.

Peter: listen man we had nothing to do with this we were just watching the show we didn't came for a fight.

Nanami didn't feel like he was lying but he still wasn't convinced.

Nanami: if you were just watching then why did you came?

Sonia: we sensed that wierd energy thing so we came to inspect.

Nanami: I'll have to ask to come down let me see you.

Peter: sorry man but we are kinda by standards so yeah we don't to get in what ever business you have.

Peter and Sonia ran away from the sorceress.

Yuji: hey get back-

Nanami: let them go I don't think they have anything to do with this.

Yuji: how could you tell?

Nanami: I could tell that they sounded genuine. So I don't think they are the culprits of the murders of those 3 students.

(Back with at the house)

Junpei threw a punch and max grabbed it and he threw him over his shoulder making fall into the ground.

Junpei: ow.

Max: you okay?

Junpei: I'm fine but that hurt.

Max: well you know the saying no pain no gain.

Junpei got up and took a stance.

As for max he just had his hands in his pockets.

Junpei rushed at max and he threw punches and kicks some were sloppy but over the course of the training he got better.

Max was countering junpei's strikes and decided to test his reaction ability.

Max threw a punch no enhancement just a single punch with very little power but a fast one.

Junpei saw it and he ducked it and went for a punch in the gut but his fist hit a palm and his feet were knocked off balance and he was pinned to the ground with his arm grabbed.

Max let go and Junpei got up to stretch his sore body he wasn't a body builder so he this the first time he pushed his body.

Junpei: when i said training I meant in that spiritual energy thing not physical training.

Max: well if you use spiritual energy the back lash will tire you out more so you need a step body to need get as tired and once your body adapts you won't feel tired anymore.

Junpei: this my first time pushing my body I feel like I ran for days.

Max: don't worry soon this will get used to this.

Junpei: hey back at school I fought back against those assholes and I managed to knock one of them out it felt good to fight back.

Max: yeah I feel you but you didn't get too much attention did you.

Junpei: no I didn't last long because you know my body is kinda weak so I tired myself out.

Max: well the only problem is that your body isn't strong enough and you don't have much in combat experience.

Max extend his fist for a fist bump to Junpei.

Max: I do my best to not push you too hard.

Junpei smiled at this a genuine smile about having people that care and not just his mom.

Junpei: thanks.

There first made contact and Junpei remembered.

Junpei: oh right I forgot my mom wants to meet you and she wanted to invite you for dinner.

Max: really? But isn't inviting someone who you never met a bad thing?

Junpei: my mom it's the kind of person that if they heard someone good about people she would want them around especially since I don't exactly have friends.

Max: well I suppose I can come.

Max decided to take off his jacket and go with Junpei to his house.

He told squigly to wait for him and tell the others that he is at Junpei's.

Of course he could have invited squigly to come too but that will start one massive can of worms so it was better if she stayed here.

While max was going to Junpei's house Peter and Sonia got back.

Squigly: there you are I heard it rained you guys okay?

Peter: well got a little wet but we are fine overall.

Sonia: yeah but we meet some guys that were using that negative energy and they were fighting something that was originally human.

Squigly: what happened?

Peter: well the blonde man called it a curse no clue why but at least we got a name for it.
