Chapter 231.1
Bathed in the sunlight, I gradually snapped out of my drowsiness.
I felt like I was dreaming. Dreaming of my childhood.
Then I heard someone knock.
“Anos? I’m coming in.” (Sasha)
Sasha’s voice called me out.
When I opened my eyes, I was met with silver hair.
The girl who was resting her forehead against mine, breathing softly in her sleep, was Arcana the Selection God.
“Arcana,” I called out, and she opened her eyes with a start.
“When did you crawl into my bed?” (Anos)
“After you fell asleep.” (Arcana)
I heard the door to my room open with a click.
And two sets of footsteps approach.
“Still sleeping?” (Misha)
Misha’s voice echoed.
“Anos? Wake up. You said you wanted to talk, so I stayed up all night to avoid oversleeping,” Sasha said while shaking my body.
Arcana moved and woke up.
“…Eh?” (Sasha)
The blanket slipped off Arcana as she sat on the bed.
Revealing her bare, divine body, emitting a pure glow.
“Wha…Wha…” (Sasha)
Sasha’s eyes widened in surprise.
“Why are you sleeping with Anos?!” (Sasha)
Arcana gave her a listless look.
“Is it a sin in this country for gods and demons to sleep together…?” (Arcana)
“Y-You slept together?!” Sasha shouted in panic, despite being the one to ask.
“Hmm. Since you two came over, it must be quite late now. Sorry. It seems I actually overslept for once.” (Anos)
“It’s my fault. I put too much strain on you.” Arcana replies, still naked, facing me.
“How was it?” (Arcana)
“What do you mean?” (Anos)
“It was my first time, so I don’t know if I did well.” (Arcana)
Sasha turned pale and clunged to Misha.
She seemed confused.
“…D-D-D… Did you take advantage of Anos’ kindness to make demands on him?! Even gods have things they should and shouldn’t do…!” (Sasha)
“Demands?” (Arcana)
Arcana turned to me, looking clueless about Sasha’s question.
“…Th-Then… Was it Anos who asked…?” Sasha asked fearfully.
Arcana shook her head.
“I did it with good intentions. I thought that’s what he wanted.” (Arcana)
Taking her word for it, Sasha snapped.
“A-Anos would never wish for that!” (Sasha)
“This is what everybody desires. As a god, I wanted to grant him salvation.” (Arcana)
“I-If you think all men are the same… Then too bad for you!” (Sasha)
Sasha hesitated for a moment but then glared sharply at Arcana.
“My Demon King has no interest in such things at all!” (Sasha)
Arcana looked back at Sasha with clear, pure eyes.
“What do you know, I guess even gods can be depraved! If you think this can bring salvation, then you’re sorely mistaken!” (Sasha)
“Why do you think so?” Arcana asked innocently.
“…B-Because… He’s never even… asked me to do that…” (Sasha)
Arcana gazes at Sasha inquiringly.
“W-What I’m saying is… If Anos was going to ask you for something like that even though you just met, he would’ve asked me first instead…” (Sasha)
“This isn’t something you can do. That’s why I did it.” (Arcana)
Sasha blushed hard.
“I-I can do it too! If Anos asked, I’d do anything he wanted…! There’s nothing I couldn’t do” (Sasha)
“Filling his void isn’t easy. Even the body of a god couldn’t handle it.” (Arcana)
“Y-You couldn’t?! It’s that bad…?!” (Sasha)
Sasha glanced at me with a mix of embarrassment and shock.
Then she quickly averted her eyes and glared at Arcana.
“W-What? You think that scares me? I’m not scared. I don’t mind if he messes me up. I’d be happy with anything Anos does to me. Besides, Misha can make me stronger with her Magic Eyes of Creation!” (Sasha)
Misha tilted her head and murmured, “What are we talking about?”
“A-Anyway, Anos would never wish for this! Right, Misha?” (Sasha)
Sasha clung to Misha, seeking affirmation.
Misha blinked and looked at me while slightly tilting her head, seemingly wanting to question this misunderstanding.
I nodded in response.
“Arcana, what did you do to Anos?” Misha asked.
“Exactly what I just said. I tried to restore his lost memories.” Arcana replied.
“He told me that he lost them during his reincarnation. One of the gods I’ve consumed is the one that governs memories, Lyeno Ga Roaz. I tried to use his order to tap into Anos’ memories, but recovering those form before his reincarnation isn’t easy.” (Arcana)
And that put a strain on my body, something even Arcana’s body couldn’t handle.
“…D… Don’t do something so misleading…” Sasha murmured, blushing.
“Also, if that was all, then you didn’t have to crawl into Anos’ bed for that!” (Sasha)
“Memories drift in dreams. Lyeno Ga Roaz is the Keeper of Dreams, where his order is most effective.” (Arcana)
“A-At least put some clothes on!” (Sasha)
“Direct contact free of all interference is the best way for a god and a mortal to benefit from order.” (Arcana)
