Chapter 1: Chapter 1: The Trouble Sparked by a Bowl of Ramen
"From now on, let the world know pain!"
"Shinra Tensei!"
A man with orange hair hovered mid-air, his deep voice resounding as a dazzling light exploded in the heart of Konoha Village. Like a massive stone crashing into a calm lake, the village's structures crumbled at a speed visible to the naked eye.
In less than thirty seconds, the vast Konoha Village was reduced to a heap of ruins.
"What… what's happening…?"
"This can't be real. How could anyone do something like this?"
"The sheer power… it's overwhelming!"
"It's a god—this must be the work of a god!"
The villagers who had narrowly escaped death pushed aside the debris covering their bodies. But as they stood and took in the scene, they were stunned.
The village they had lived in for so many years was leveled to the ground. For many, this was the first time they had witnessed such devastating power from a single jutsu.
Some managed to crawl out of the rubble, only to collapse again, their pupils dilating with despair.
This kind of destruction wasn't something an ordinary person could achieve. Pain had destroyed not only the village but also the last shred of hope many had of winning this battle.
Hovering in the sky, Tendo Pain gazed coldly at the flattened remains of Konoha. His rigid face betrayed no emotion. As he scanned the scene below, his eyes suddenly narrowed.
Amid the desolate landscape, one small structure stood intact, glaringly out of place among the ruins. While every other building had been reduced to dust by his Shinra Tensei, this one remained completely untouched.
On the curtain hanging over the door of the building were four large characters: Ichiraku Ramen!
"Can't even eat a bowl of ramen in peace—this is infuriating!"
A faintly irritated voice came from within the Ichiraku Ramen shop. Though not loud, it inexplicably echoed throughout the entire village.
Inside the shop, the owner, Uncle Teuchi, had taken cover behind the counter during the earlier shockwave. Hearing the voice, he cautiously peeked out.
Sitting calmly at the counter was a young man. Uncle Teuchi's face filled with surprise. Though the shockwave had obliterated the village, he hadn't felt even the slightest tremor. Yet the deafening roar had made it clear that something monumental had happened.
Uncle Teuchi was just an ordinary person, not even a ninja. There was no way he could withstand such an attack. The only explanation was that the young man before him had somehow shielded them from the blast.
"Sir… are you all right?"
Ayame, Uncle Teuchi's daughter, hesitantly asked the young man.
Han Yu glanced at the bowl of ramen in front of him, now covered in dust, and let out a sigh. Pulling a few coins from his pocket, he laid them neatly on the counter. A faint smile graced his handsome face.
"Could you please make me another bowl of ramen? I'll be back shortly."
Before Uncle Teuchi or Ayame could respond, Han Yu stood and headed for the door.
"This damned system! Couldn't it have sent me here a little earlier? Is it too much to ask for a peaceful meal? And now someone has to come and ruin it?"
Han Yu muttered to himself as he walked out. His current mission had brought him to the world of Naruto, but instead of worrying about how to complete the task, the first thing he did was find a ramen shop.
After all, this was the legendary ramen that Uzumaki Naruto had eaten for most of his life. Han Yu had been curious about its taste for a long time and wasted no time tracking it down.
But as luck would have it, his arrival in the Naruto world coincided with one of Konoha's most significant events—the Six Paths of Pain's invasion.
He hadn't even taken a single bite of his freshly served ramen. All he had managed to do was catch a whiff of its tantalizing aroma before it was ruined by falling debris. How could he not be furious?
The moment he appeared, he immediately drew the attention of many.
Han Yu, however, ignored the gazes fixed on him and looked up at Tendo Pain, who stood against the sun like a god. A trace of displeasure crossed Han Yu's handsome face.
In his previous life as an avid fan of movies, comics, and anime, Han Yu had been deeply passionate about Naruto.
Pain had not only killed one of his favorite characters, Jiraiya, but had also single-handedly destroyed the entire Konoha Village.
"This was the essence of my youth! And you think you can just destroy it like that?"
Glancing around, Han Yu noticed that the familiar spiky blond-haired figure hadn't returned yet. At this moment, it seemed he was the only one who could stop this disaster.
"Hmph, interrupting my meal? You're courting death!"
In an instant, Han Yu, standing on the ground, vanished without a trace.
"What incredible speed! This might rival Minato and the Fourth Raikage!"
The Fifth Hokage, Tsunade, couldn't help but exclaim as she witnessed the scene.
The "Minato" and "Fourth Raikage" she referred to were two of the fastest shinobi in the ninja world: Konoha's Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, and the Fourth Raikage, A.
In the sky, Pain also noticed Han Yu's sudden disappearance. Turning his head to search the ground, he was interrupted by a playful voice from behind.
"How many floors can a bag of rice carry?"
Before Pain could fully turn his head, he felt a massive impact on his back.
Like a meteor, Pain plummeted from the sky and crashed heavily into the ground, causing even more destruction to the already devastated Konoha.
Han Yu scratched his head awkwardly. He hadn't expected that to happen, though luckily, the damage wasn't too widespread—just a large crater in the ground.
With his hands in his pockets, Han Yu landed gracefully on the ground amidst the shocked stares of those around him. Dusting off some debris from his clothes, he glanced toward the pit where Pain lay, unable to stand.
The dense, web-like cracks radiating from the pit illustrated just how devastating Han Yu's punch had been.
"Hey, Fifth Hokage, let's make a deal. I'll take care of this guy for you, and you give me a few things in return."
Han Yu didn't press the attack further. Instead, he turned his head toward a nearby spot and called out.
Hearing the shout, Tsunade emerged from the rubble. Maintaining a safe distance, she carefully assessed Han Yu.
There was nothing particularly striking about Han Yu's appearance—he seemed completely ordinary. His calm smile exuded an air of warmth and ease, like a gentle spring breeze.
Looking at him, it was almost impossible to believe that this man had just effortlessly sent Pain, the one who had destroyed Konoha, flying.
"Who are you? What do you want?"
Tsunade didn't lower her guard. The remnants of her chakra gathered in her hands and feet, ready for attack or retreat at a moment's notice.
The young man standing before her was incredibly enigmatic—his methods were bafflingly strange.
His strength was utterly astonishing.
"Who I am isn't important. What matters is that I want…"
"…your Yin Seal and Byakugō no Jutsu."
Gasp!
Everyone present sucked in a sharp breath. Couldn't he just say it all at once? That dramatic pause had everyone on edge! If he hadn't finished his sentence, they might have thought Han Yu had some bizarre intentions—though, to be fair, some of them wouldn't entirely dismiss such thoughts themselves.
"What should I do? Should I agree?"
Tsunade furrowed her brows in deep thought. The current situation left her with very few choices.
"This Pain clearly isn't someone we can handle, but this man managed to suppress him with ease. He seems like our best option for now. Naruto… who knows when he'll return? But to ask for my Yin Seal and Byakugō no Jutsu—those aren't techniques I can casually hand over to anyone."
She considered gathering her chakra in case she needed to fight, but she had already depleted most of it summoning Katsuyu to protect the villagers. The little chakra remaining in her body barely put her at the level of an ordinary jōnin.
Facing someone like Han Yu, Tsunade knew her current strength was far from sufficient.
As Tsunade's expression shifted between indecision and frustration, Han Yu didn't press her for an answer. Instead, he began humming a little tune, seemingly at ease while waiting for her response.
Suddenly, Han Yu's relaxed gaze turned razor-sharp. Tsunade, caught off guard, looked at him in confusion as his cold voice cut through the air.
"Did I say you could move?"
With a frigid snort, Tendo Pain—who had been attempting to stand and strike Han Yu—suddenly felt an invisible mountain weighing down on him.
The ground around him cracked and shattered, forcing Pain's body to sink further into the earth, rendering him completely immobile.
Tsunade's lips parted slightly in shock. Her astonishment had evolved into something far beyond mere surprise.
"With just a few words, he immobilized Pain… Who is this man?"
