Marvel : Godly Lottery System

Chapter 358: Merlin

"I don't mind heading down to the universe below to drag you back and lock you up in the *Cosmic Prison*," the Living Tribunal said coldly, all three heads speaking in unison.

"Alright, Little Tribunal, I was just joking with you… hehehe…"

The shadowy figure let out a series of bell-like laughs, but the laughter abruptly stopped. A bloodthirsty madness flashed in its tone as it said playfully:

"Believe it or not, I had nothing to do with the deaths of your subordinates…"

"(Indeed) Of course, I wouldn't mind helping you deal with this trouble," it added.

The Living Tribunal responded indifferently, "Do as you please."

At that moment, another shadowy figure, still hidden in the darkness, interjected:

"Living Tribunal, are you suggesting that this Earthling, Zane Sy, comes from that place?"

"After all, he bears too many similarities to that other one from before."

Hearing this, the Living Tribunal slightly nodded the head facing the speaker and said,

"The question is, is he merely another plaything, or one of their kind sent in secret?"

"That's why we must act before that mischievous one reaches him. And more importantly, we cannot allow his kind to establish contact with him."

"Where's the old man?" another shadow suddenly asked.

"I don't know where that esteemed one has gone."

"After his brief appearance last time, I didn't even get a chance to greet him before he vanished again."

"Perhaps he's gone to the *Outer Realm* again," the Living Tribunal said with a soft sigh, adding:

"Such a carefree individual, dumping all the big and small matters onto me."

An awkward silence suddenly filled the crystalline interior.

"Alright then, dear brothers and sisters, if there's nothing else, I'll take my leave now."

The shadow that had remained silent finally broke the tension, speaking nonchalantly.

"Fine. You may all disperse," said the three heads of the Living Tribunal as they looked around.

As the words fell, the four shadowy figures and all the heads reflected on the crystal surface instantly vanished.

The vast crystalline space became empty again, leaving only the enormous figure of the Living Tribunal.

At that moment, the Living Tribunal suddenly reached into the void and grabbed something.

In an instant, a gem radiating infinite light, its colors shifting in a mesmerizing display, was pulled forth.

The gem was no larger than one of the Tribunal's fingers.

All three heads of the Living Tribunal gazed intently at the dazzling gem.

Their eyes, reflecting the same multicolored brilliance, uttered with deep significance:

"Let's hope we won't need you this time, Heart of the Cosmos…"

The Living Tribunal then stood upright, instantly appearing at the edge of the crystal. Lifting the *Heart of the Cosmos*, it illuminated the endless expanse of darkness parallel to the crystal.

Occasionally, nebula-like shadowy forms would swirl past, exuding terrifying, sinister laughter that echoed faintly in the void.

Zane followed the Watcher aboard their ship, the "Observatory", and entered a kaleidoscopic wormhole.

He wasn't sure how long it had been, but when the dazzling lights of the wormhole subsided, Zane found himself in a brand-new world.

Looking around, the entire landscape resembled an immense, endless chessboard of alternating black and white squares.

At the intersections of the board hovered countless massive, vibrant planets.

At the very center of the chessboard, a shimmering, ethereal spired castle floated high above all the planets.

Zane had a distinct feeling that the Domain of Watcher's might truly be a pocket universe.

This meant it was very likely that he was no longer in the original Marvel Prime Universe.

The Watcher then led Zane off the "Observatory", which Zane now realized resembled a giant telescope. Only now did he notice how towering the bald-headed Watchers truly were.

Upon entering their domain, it was as though the scene had been magnified. All the Watchers' forms naturally became much larger, though still not as imposing as the Celestials, who could tower over entire worlds.

The Watchers were about 100 meters tall, their gleaming bald heads remaining remarkably eye-catching.

"Welcome, Earthling Zane Sy, to the Domain of Watcher's" said one of the Watchers, who wore a Watcher's insignia.

This dignified figure stepped forward and, with a touch of gentlemanly grace, bowed slightly and gestured invitingly toward Zane.

Just then, a beam of light shot out from the massive central castle in the Domain of Watcher's, enveloping Zane.

Since Zane's instincts didn't detect any danger, he didn't evade or defend himself. Instead, he stood still, allowing the radiant light to bathe him.

A divine voice resonated from the light surrounding Zane:

[I am the grace of greenery, the white moon among the stars, the mystery of waters, and the desires of the human heart. I summon your soul to reveal itself…]

[I am the spirit of nature that grants life to the cosmos. Through me, all things continue their cycles, and to me, all things must eventually return…]

[Outsider, I shall call you Zane Sy. I will await your arrival in the future…]

"Huh?" Zane muttered, staring at the glowing castle in confusion.

The voice hadn't spoken directly into his mind, so the nearby Watchers heard it as well.

"Zane Sy…" the leading Watcher began to speak.

"Just call me Zane," he replied.

"Very well, Mr. Zane," the Watcher said. "The voice that descended upon you just now was that of our lord."

"Our lord, also known as the [Omniversal Overseer], Merlin, foresees the future and left this projection specifically for you from an unknown point in time."

"Lord? Omniversal Overseer? Merlin?" Zane was even more puzzled.

Noticing Zane's confusion, the Watcher patiently explained:

"Yes. Our Watcher race once engaged in a war with the Celestials, which was resolved when Lord Merlin personally mediated with the Living Tribunal, the supreme deity of the Omniverse."

"Afterward, he granted us refuge within his Domain of Watcher's."

"On Lord Merlin's timeline, there is no concept of linear time. His existence spans both backward and lateral dimensions simultaneously."

Zane hadn't expected such a figure to exist within the Marvel Universe. Judging from what the Watchers were saying, this Merlin seemed to be on par with the Living Tribunal.

Suddenly, Zane asked, "You said he foresaw the future and left me a projection. So where is he now?"

"We don't know."

The towering Watcher showed a genuinely clueless expression, then pointed toward the glowing castle high in the sky and continued:
