Marvel : Godly Lottery System

Chapter 383: Gods

Then, she glanced at the dazed Zane and shifted her gaze to Lorna, who had a faint hint of smugness in her eyes.

With a grievance-laden leap, the black panther jumped off Zane's shoulder, curled up in a corner of the ground, and lamented mournfully:

"Master, you're a bit biased..."

Zane, interrupted by the Bastis's pitiful voice, snapped out of his thoughts and looked at the black panther staring intently at him from not far away.

Instantly, he understood what had happened.

With a helpless smile, he said:

"It's not that I'm biased."

"It's just that the Galactus doesn't possess a divine persona like the Celestials."

As he spoke, a flash of realization struck Zane's mind.

It was only now that he realized why the Planet Devourer, despite being one of Marvel's primordial deities, lacked the divine persona even the Celestials had.

If the Planet Devourer wasn't a unique case, it would mean that the other four primordial deities were also without divine personas.

Then, Zane recalled the words spoken by the projection of Death during their fight in the main universe.

Piecing together various events, he began to deduce some truths.

"If the likes of Satan and Jehovah on Earth rely on spreading their doctrines to harvest the power of faith from their followers..."

"Then, the death divine persona I seized from Asgard, including the one from Hela, Goddess of Death, must have been deliberately sown by Death, one of the Marvel Universe's primordial deities."

"If that's the case, what about the divine personas of the Celestials?"

"Could it be that...?"

"They, too, were intentionally scattered by the One Above All (TOAA), the overarching cosmic force of the Marvel multiverse, as pure energy bodies designed to absorb various energies?"

"This would explain why none of the original Celestial members have souls."

"Because TOAA never intended for them to possess souls or to be directly resurrected."

"So, why does TOAA destroy the Fifth Cosmos, only to reboot it every time?"

Zane's mind spun with these questions. He knew that, just as he had already clashed with the five primordial deities, he needed to prepare for the worst-case scenario—facing the most formidable being in the Marvel Universe, TOAA.

At that moment, the five energy spheres in the distance, which had been largely ignored, suddenly erupted with violent radiance.

Shortly after, cracks began to spread across the outer shells of the spheres.

A surge of chaotic energy fluctuations burst forth around the spheres, releasing waves of steaming, boiling mist that distorted and twisted the surrounding light.

Frightened by the overwhelming display, the black panther scrambled back into Zane's embrace for safety.

Boom!

Abruptly, four of the energy spheres shattered, each shooting out a magnificent and awe-inspiring pillar of light that pierced the heavens.

Then, five blurred figures slowly emerged from the light pillars.

Even the smallest among them appeared several hundred meters tall, while the tallest one, following the trajectory of the light pillar, pierced through the thin high-altitude cloud layer of the newly formed planet.

"Zane, we're now true gods!"

A jubilant and electrifying voice echoed across the entire planet.

Skynet, Bone, Rocket, and Groot emerged from the towering pillars of light that shot straight into the sky.

Their bodies had now grown to several times their original size; even the shortest of them, Rocket, stood hundreds of meters tall.

Zane understood this transformation. It was the result of their breakthrough into the sixth dimension, where their bodies were reconstructed by the energies of the Quantum Realm.

Hovering high in the air, the four exchanged glances with Zane before shrinking back to their normal sizes.

Only Groot remained in his towering form, standing midair and roaring incessantly. His display of power terrified countless souls cowering on the other side of the planet, driving them to kneel and bow fervently to the skies.

Finally, under Rocket's stern glare, Groot reluctantly shrank down from his muscular, Schwarzenegger form into a cute, miniature version of himself.

He then leapt onto Zane's head, crossing his legs nonchalantly as he sat, pretending to whistle.

"Master!"

Despite their newfound status as deities, Bone and Skynet remained as loyal as ever to Zane. After descending from the skies, they respectfully greeted him.

"Zane, I'm officially one of the gods of this universe now!" Rocket exclaimed, his voice brimming with pride.

"Let's see which fool dares to look down on Rocket the Great... no, Rocket the Almighty now!"

"Hahahaha!"

Zane watched as Rocket donned a pair of sunglasses with an air of swagger, and thought to himself that a thick gold chain would complete the look.

He'd be the perfect embodiment of the phrase: 'Peppa Pig tattooed on the body, applause for the true street king.'

It was no wonder Groot, being so close to Rocket, had become just as bold and brash.

Although Zane understood that becoming a god in the Marvel Universe wasn't as simple as it appeared—likely hiding unimaginable challenges—he didn't want to burst Rocket's bubble in the midst of such a joyful moment.

Silently, he stepped forward and gave Rocket a high-five.

"Now, I have an announcement to make," Zane began.

"Our Death Alliance isn't just going to take root in this main universe; we're going to bloom across the entire Omniverse."

"So, I want you all to go back and gather the seeds of loyalty and potential from your respective forces. Once that's done, we'll prepare to explore other universes."

Zane laid out the plan he had meticulously crafted, explaining everything to Rocket and the others, including any unfamiliar terms or concepts.

While Zane didn't believe that the ordinary individuals under the Death Alliance could directly aid him, he understood the power of numbers.

Though he had already gained the allegiance of the Watchers, their loyalty was largely transactional, based on mutual interests. In contrast, the forces nurtured by his long-time companions were far more reliable.

Even if the Death Alliance currently seemed like a ragtag group, Zane knew better than anyone how far potential could take someone.

After all, he had risen from a small planet like Earth in just over a decade to become a force capable of standing against the gods of the Marvel Universe.

Who could say that, with his guidance over the years, the seeds of the Death Alliance wouldn't grow into the next Celestials?

"Skynet, here's the locator I acquired from a newly obtained spaceship. Take it with you and gather everyone aboard the ship in three days."

"Oh, and there's a woman named Roma on board—Lorna knows her. If you have any questions about the Omniverse, feel free to ask her."

Zane handed a glowing star chart to Skynet, who accepted it respectfully.

"Understood, Master," Skynet replied.

Rocket glanced at Zane, scratching the fur on his head. "Zane, aren't you coming with us?"

"No, I have some matters to handle on my own. You all go ahead."

"Bastis, Lorna, you two should go with them as well," Zane added.
