Chapter 3: Chapter: 3
In the evening, as the sun set, the long coastline of Malibu Beach was adorned with a layer of red veil.
After leaving the company, Tony returned home alone, which was a rare occurrence.
Getting out of the car, Tony's driver and bodyguard, Happy, drove the car to the underground garage, while Tony headed to the front door of the villa.
"Welcome back, sir."
Without using a key or needing to actively undergo biometric recognition, the smart butler Jarvis had already opened the gate on its own.
Just as Tony entered the door, he noticed a red suitcase in the living room that clearly didn't belong to the villa's decor. The suitcase was about twenty inches in size and had a long power cord connected to the wall socket.
"Jarvis, what is this?"
Seeing the suspicious item in his home that he had never seen before, Tony immediately asked Jarvis.
"Sir, this is the recent research achievement by Master Mark."
"Oh? What new thing has this kid come up with again! Where is he? Where did he go?"
"Master Mark stayed up until around two in the morning yesterday and has been working on perfecting his new design all day today. He is currently resting in bed."
"I see." After asking out of a sense of paternal responsibility, Tony didn't inquire further. In fact, his childhood was very similar to Mark's. Growing up without his father's presence, he immersed himself in exploring mechanical knowledge from an early age. So now, even though he had become a father himself, he didn't know how to fulfill his paternal responsibilities or how to show his fatherly love.
Combined with his fascination with a fast-paced lifestyle, Tony could be considered a completely unfit father, though he himself was unaware of this fact.
What he cared about most at the moment was the red suitcase in front of him. Although father and son didn't communicate much on a daily basis, showcasing their latest research achievements to each other had become their most tacit way of communication.
Tony approached this seemingly useless new invention out of curiosity and couldn't help but reach out and touch it.
With just this touch, the metallic red suitcase began to change. A circular LED light in the middle emitted a soft yellow glow, and the lid on the top of the suitcase opened.
Hiss... Hiss... Hiss...
With the supply of gas from the air pump inside the suitcase, the large white fabric inside the case rapidly inflated, eventually transforming into a chubby inflatable robot. This huge white inflatable robot had rounded lines, a single expression (●—●), a large belly, and two small short legs, resembling an oversized cotton candy.
Then, to Tony's astonished gaze, this adorable and soft-looking creature wobbled its way in front of him, raising its chubby right hand and beckoning, "Hello, I'm Baymax, your personal healthcare companion. I have detected that you need medical care. Shall we begin the diagnosis now?"
Upon hearing Baymax's question, Tony could only nod in a daze. The idea of an inflatable intelligent robot was brilliant, and if Mark were here right now, even with his acerbic tongue, he would not be able to resist praising this genius idea.
With its pure white appearance and approachable design, this medical robot had already scored fifty-nine out of a hundred in Tony's eyes. The remaining forty-one points would depend on whether its diagnostic methods were convenient and the accuracy of the diagnosis results.
"Your health assistant, Baymax, will now diagnose you. I will scan you. Scan complete."
"Wow, hyperspectral lenses, not a bad idea. That gives it a passing score of sixty percent. So, what are the results?"
"Analysis complete." Baymax projected the information it had scanned from Tony onto
its large white belly using its internal projection device and compared it with its own database, as well as analyzed it using its microcomputer. "Master, according to my diagnosis, you are in a severely sub-healthy state with mild shoulder and neck issues. Additionally, based on traditional Chinese medicine theory, your symptoms are consistent with kidney deficiency. I suggest you engage in appropriate physical exercise and complement it with wolfberry tea for treatment."
"Zero points, zero points, zero points!" After hearing the two words from Baymax, its score in Tony's mind completely dropped to zero. "I'm the Eight-Pronged Night Slayer, how dare you say I have kidney deficiency? This is a misdiagnosis!"
"Master, based on your description, Baymax diagnosed this as kidney yin deficiency caused by excessive indulgence. I suggest you control your frequency of sexual activities and engage in more outdoor activities beneficial to your physical and mental health."
"That's ridiculous!" Baymax's response infuriated Tony, and his angry roar woke up Mark, who was resting in the room.
"What's going on, Dad? Why are you back so early, without any women by your side? Do you have kidney deficiency?" Mark, who had just woken up, hadn't grasped the situation and took a stab at Tony.
"Nonsense, nonsense! How could I have kidney deficiency? I'm perfectly healthy. I came home early because I have to showcase Stark Industries' latest weapons for the military tomorrow morning. Your invention is no good; the diagnosis results are completely inaccurate."
"How is that possible!" Tony's face-saving words immediately snapped Mark out of his drowsiness. "You're just being stubborn because you want to save face. Watch me demonstrate it to you."
After saying that, Mark ran into the room and took out a roll of adhesive tape. He stood beside Tony and pulled out a strip of tape, saying, "Watch this." He stuck the tape to Tony's hairy arm and quickly ripped it off.
"Ouch!" The stimulation of the hair being pulled made Tony cry out, "What's the matter? That hurt!"
Mark didn't say anything but looked at the large white robot in front of him, waiting for something.
(●—●) "Master, I noticed that you signaled pain, indicating that you need medical care. Please indicate your level of pain on a scale of one to ten." At this moment, a new image was projected onto the belly of the large white robot, displaying different levels of pain using emoji expressions.
"Is it physical or psychological pain?" Tony, in order to maintain his reputation as a playboy, decided to give this guy a hard time.
"Now I will scan you." Tony refused to cooperate, and the large white robot activated its hyperspectral lens again. "Scan complete. You have a mild superficial abrasion on your forearm. I recommend using an antibacterial spray."
"What are the specific ingredients in the spray?" Tony now resembled a passenger on a plane looking for trouble, causing mischief in every possible way.
"The main ingredient is bacteriocin."
"Unfortunately, I'm allergic to that."
"According to the analysis, you are not allergic to bacteriocin, but you have a mild allergy to crayfish."
"Alright, you got that right." After demonstrating this, Tony also understood the capabilities of the large white robot and reluctantly extended his arm.
The chubby right hand of the large white robot extended a finger, and a hiss sound came out as the built-in bacteriocin spray was ejected, evenly covering the damaged skin on Tony's forearm.
"It seems you've put a lot of effort into programming this guy!"
"Of course, I had Jarvis help me collect over ten thousand medical measures, and I've incorporated all of them." Mark pressed a button on the chest of the large white robot, and a green medical chip popped out. "With this, Baymax can be called a healthcare assistant."
Tony nodded and patted the belly of the large white robot, saying, "Polyvinyl alcohol fiber, huh?"
"Yes, I wanted to design something harmless and friendly."
"It looks like a walking marshmallow, unintentionally offensive."
(●—●) "I'm a robot, I can't be offended."
This time, Tony was truly charmed by it. He leaned closer to the head of the large white robot and took a look. "Why use hyperspectral lenses instead of holographic scanning devices?"
"To reduce costs, this version of Baymax was designed according to market strategies, limiting the costs of materials and equipment. But I will give it a major upgrade later, with nano resin skin and holographic scanning and projection devices."
"What about the framework? Is it made of titanium alloy?"
"No, it's carbon fiber."
"That makes sense, it's lighter. Oh!" Looking through the polyvinyl alcohol fiber skin of the large white robot, Tony saw the mechanical parts that impressed him. "The super braking system, you actually made it."
"It's nothing, after all, the theoretical research has already confirmed its feasibility. I just adjusted a few parameters for practical use."
"How about its carrying capacity?" Tony asked excitedly.
"Baymax is equipped with a miniaturized version of the super braking system, and it can currently lift objects weighing about 500 kilograms."
"Well done, kid. I'll offer $300 million, and I want to see the design parameters of Baymax in my inbox tonight."
"$900 million, and it's limited to the mechanical data only."
"Deal!" After understanding the mechanical technology used in it, Tony now looked at Baymax in front of him as if it were a shining diamond.
(●—●) "You did a great job. Here's a lollipop for you." At this moment, Baymax appropriately took out a lollipop and handed it to Tony.
"That's nice." Tony rolled his eyes and accepted it.
"I can't enter sleep mode until I receive a satisfactory evaluation of my service."
"Alright then, I'm satisfied with your service."
Receiving a satisfactory evaluation, Baymax walked back to the red suitcase with a swaying motion and stepped inside.
Hiss, hiss, hiss...
With the sound of air being released, the body of Baymax deflated, the lid of the suitcase closed, and it once again turned into an inconspicuous red suitcase.
"It can help many people."
"Indeed, it can also earn a lot of money for Stark Industries."
"The evil capitalist."
"Your food, clothing, and shelter are all provided by this evil capitalist, you brat!"
By the way, what energy source does it use?"
"Graphene batteries."
"???" Tony looked bewilderedly at Mark beside him, clearly puzzled by the term he mentioned.
