Chapter 92: Marvel Scientist Becomes God, Ch 62.2
On the ground, the X-Weapon soldiers rushed toward Magneto. They were curious about the two ice sculptures that trapped Magneto and Blob, circling around them, unsure of what to do.
Suddenly, the tiny iron spheres surrounding the ice sculptures floated into the air and shot out like bullets, piercing through the surrounding soldiers as if they were nothing, causing blood to flow freely!
"Crash!"
Magneto's ice sculpture shattered, shaking off the moisture from his body. He flicked his hand to send a man running toward him flying like a cannonball, crashing through several walls yet emerging unscathed.
The individual with such capability, of course, was Wolverine.
Wolverine angrily got to his feet and rushed out of the train station, only to find that Magneto had already vanished, and Ye Hai was wreaking havoc in the sky—an ability that made him envious.
Suddenly, Ye Hai dove down to the ground, tossing the black bag into his arms.
"Take good care of the bag! I'll make sure to tear apart these high-ups!"
"You did well, Doc," Wolverine replied with delight. "Don't worry; I'll protect her and keep her safe!"
"Thanks! I'll distract them for you!"
Saying this, Ye Hai shot back into the air, hurtling himself toward one of the helicopters. The helicopter's belly erupted in flames as a missile launched toward Ye Hai.
With no fear, Ye Hai narrowed his eyes, unleashing two beams of red laser that struck the missile, transforming it into a dazzling explosion of sparks that lit up the surrounding darkness.
…
In the X-Weapon command center:
Seeing his forces being slaughtered, General Stryker felt immense frustration and cried out, "Is there any way to deal with that flying intruder?"
His assistant chuckled wryly and replied, "We've already tested most of the weapons we developed against mutants, but this guy's physique is too abnormal; we have no way to deal with him. We should retreat, General!"
"Damn it!" Stryker shouted angrily. "Then let's use our mutants!"
"Sir, preliminary assessments suggest this young man is at Level 4; our mutants won't be able to handle him," the assistant calmly informed Stryker. "We should retreat, General!"
Stryker gritted his teeth and, in the end, reluctantly said, "Fine, we retreat!"
"General Stryker has ordered the entire army to retreat… General Stryker has ordered the entire army to retreat…"
The commander's repeated shouts brought a sigh of relief to the soldiers hearing him, and they immediately covered each other to make a swift escape. Ye Hai unceremoniously pursued, slaughtering many of the ground and air forces of X-Weapon. General Stryker gritted his teeth in hatred but felt utterly helpless.
Only when the X-Weapon forces had completely vanished into the darkness did Ye Hai stop. A cold smile appeared on his face; he wanted to deliver a harsh blow to this opportunistic X-Weapon, making them wary enough not to dare attack Mutant Academy.
The Mutant Academy was certainly not as sparsely populated as depicted in the movies. There were hundreds of people inside, and if it were to fall like in the films, countless innocent lives would be lost. Ye Hai knew that General Stryker would show no mercy toward the mutant children.
