Marvel: Sleep With Girls To Get Their Powers

Chapter 11: Chapter 11

A few hours later, Nolin and the others returned to Gotham once again.

Along the way, Kara learned from Nolin about the events that were about to unfold in the future.

When she heard that the Kryptonian general Zod would destroy Earth and transform it into a planet suitable for Kryptonians, Kara remained largely indifferent.

To her, Earth was just another foreign planet.

Besides, as soon as she arrived on Earth, she was captured and imprisoned by mercenaries. Because of this, her feelings toward Earthlings were far from favorable.

Fighting for humanity didn't seem worth it.

Instead, Kara's primary concern was finding her lost cousin, Kal-El (Clark).

He represented Krypton's last hope, and her duty was to protect him. Given Krypton's strict hierarchical structure, orders from superiors were nearly impossible to disobey.

In Wayne Manor, Kara stood near a window, staring at the sun hanging high in the sky. After a moment of silence, she said, "This has nothing to do with me."

Bruce, hearing this, turned to Nolin with a look that seemed to say: "This is the helper you found? Are you sure this will work?"

Nolin smirked and then dropped a bombshell:

"What if I told you that Zod killed Kal-El?"

Kara immediately spun around, her face filled with disbelief.

"That's impossible! How could Zod kill Kal?!"

"Here's the truth," Nolin began.

"Zod needs the Code of Life—the genetic key stored within Kal's body. Only by obtaining it can Zod recreate Kryptonians and revive Krypton."

"But Kal is just a baby! How could he have the Code of Life?"

"Do you think Zod would allow Kal to grow up peacefully, then politely ask him for something he may not even know exists?"

Kara fell silent as she thought about Zod's character.

Zod was a Kryptonian general who commanded one of the most powerful armed forces outside the Elder Council. He was ruthless and unwavering.

If anyone—even a fellow Kryptonian—stood in the way of his plans to revive Krypton, Zod wouldn't hesitate to eliminate them.

This behavior wasn't a choice; it was encoded in Zod's DNA.

"The Code of Life? What's that?"

Bruce, who had been listening quietly, finally interrupted, his curiosity piqued.

"The Code of Life is Krypton's genetic database," Nolin explained.

"It allows Kryptonians to artificially cultivate their entire population using advanced technology."

"Kryptonians abandoned natural childbirth long ago. Kal is the only naturally-born Kryptonian in existence, which makes him unique—with limitless potential."

Bruce quickly began piecing the information together.

"So, if we give Zod the Code of Life, Earth will be safe?"

Nolin shook his head.

"Technically, yes. But it's already too late."

"When Jor-El sent Kal and Kara to Earth, the planet's fate was sealed."

"Zod will track the signal from Kara's pod. He's most likely already en route."

"Even if Kara leaves Earth now, it won't make any difference."

"Why?" Bruce frowned.

"The universe is vast. Surely there are other planets they could terraform instead of Earth?"

Nolin pointed to the sun.

"Because of this."

"Krypton's galaxy had a red sun. But Earth's solar system has a yellow sun."

"Under the yellow sun, Kryptonians gain powers 10 to 100 times stronger—and this enhancement has no apparent limit."

"Kryptonians are already physically superior to humans. Add the yellow sun's influence, and, over time, they could become gods."

"Now tell me—wouldn't that be tempting for Zod?"

Bruce glanced at Kara and began to understand.

No wonder Kara had been so weak while imprisoned but became overwhelmingly powerful once she was exposed to sunlight.

"This kind of enhancement… it's terrifying," Bruce muttered.

If Kryptonians continued absorbing the sun's energy for years—or even centuries—who could stop them?

By then, conquering the universe wouldn't be a fantasy—it would be inevitable.

Bruce's expression darkened.

"The Kryptonians must not be allowed to grow stronger!"

This wasn't just a fight for Earth—it was a fight for the survival of the universe.

"Is all this true?" Kara finally broke her silence, her mind still racing.

"How do you know so much? What if this 'future' you're talking about isn't real?"

Nolin's tone was steady.

"We'll know soon enough. If two people named Barry Allen show up, that will confirm the timeline."

"According to that timeline, this is the year Zod arrives—and we don't have much time left."

"Fine!" Kara clenched her fists.

"I'll join you in fighting Zod! But I need to see him myself and ask him about Kal!"

Her determination was clear, but Nolin knew it wasn't just conviction—it was also influenced by his unique mutant ability.

His natural charm made it easier for people to trust him. Even Kara—Supergirl—wasn't immune.

For Barry Allen, gaining Kara's trust required risking his life.

For Nolin, all it took was a conversation.

"So, what's the plan?" Bruce brought the conversation back to strategy.

"Do you have any suggestions for fighting Zod?"

He looked at Nolin with measured trust.

After learning that Nolin's original universe had already been destroyed, Bruce knew their chances of winning without Nolin were slim.

"You may be our only hope."
